Obama elected by acclamation by a motion by Hillary, that was a pretty nice idea

OK, I'm still at work watching the C-SPAN live feed and tears are streaming down my face. Hillary just suspended the vote. Damn, why did she have to push us so far to the edge of hating her when she has this kind of grace and devotion to the party in her? I personally blame Wolfson and Penn. Thank God the woman I have admired for over 20 years is back. I missed her.
Yes we can!

Great comment Sara! I watched it on TV just a bit ago and it was moving...I was in the hate camp by the end of the primary and the last few weeks of not hearing a word from her. I think she has redeemed herself. I want her to be the Senate Majority Leader and the Health Care Czar!
Thank you Hillary, truly, thank you...

Why did she and Bill push us to hate them? I used to love them.

It IS odd isn't it? For them to be so politically savvy, they really missed the boat on that one. I guess we could blame it on those infamous advisors but still, the ultimate decisions were their own...

Corporate media concern trolling: "B-B-BUT! Those 8 Clinton delegates from Arkansas were denied their voice! And Pelosi rammed it through without any dissent in less than a blink of an eye! Look at all the thousands of Clinton delegates weeping for what was so close, but was snatched from them by a sexist media and an uppity upstart. Why didn't Clinton be the fighter we know she is and allow the entire roll call to show how weak Obama's support is?!"

Acclamation! Yay!
Break out the booze!
A very classy move by Hillary. I'm so glad it happened at 6:50 pm EST instead of 3am.

I don't understand the Hooter's sign; but I just ran across the most incredible U-tube impeachment video. For some reason my MAC won't let me post it twice; so the only place I posted it was on Mirth's blog:
What really impressed me was that, for unity, Illinois passed (normally the nominees home state gets maneuvered into roll call order to put their favorite son over the top in terms of delegate votes) to let New York call for nomination by acclamation. That was class all around, on all sides.

Oh, and I have no idea what the Hooters sign is all about either. And anything I can think it might mean would be dirty.

"Yes, that's right. Table for 8. Chris Matthews. 9 o'clock. See you tonight, Mr. Matthews. Have a nice day!"
I guess we'll know that change is coming when we see Cindy Sheehan take the stage....after all, she is a potential Congresswoman.

Whereas I don't particularly trust ABC, I almost always find any rough treatment by the police to be unnecessary especially in such an instance. It is clearly evident that the producer didn't have guns or knives, so why rough them up except to push the point of who has the power.
It also makes me suspicious...

Very sad news..
Lesbian rights pioneer Del Martin died Wednesday. She was 87. A longtime activist, you may remember her last public political act, on June 16, 2008, was to marry Phyllis Lyon, her partner of 55 years. They were the first couple to wed in San Francisco after the California Supreme Court recognized that marriage for same-sex couples is a fundamental right in a case brought by plaintiffs including Martin and Lyon.

I don't know about their politics, but the food at the Blue Moon Saloon is some of the best bar food anywhere.
The Cincinnati chili rocks. Get it on the sliders with cheese and onion.
I really wish this Convention thing had happened when we lived in Denver.

It was hooter's letting her know that yes, they can host a party for Bill thurs morning and keep him in town to prevent the bad PR. It is on the hush hush, so they couldn't text her
