IMO, for about 1/3 of the us population, this will never change. Recently, in a little piece of crap city called Dallas, a homeless man with aids was given 20 years min for spitting in a cops face. "Assault with deadly weapon" or something. Even though no one has ever contracted aids from spit, sweat or tears (Center for Disease Control). I remember reading that the prisoners in Abu Ghraib were not terrorists but common criminals. In that case, the ranter had better care whether or not they were brutalized, because torturing them would have extracted no useful information about terrorist activities. But it sure would have made them think about becoming terrorists if they ever got out.

You know that and I know that, but the mindset of the people who agree with this email completely reverses this logic. "If they're going to be terrorists anyway, why not torture them now and just keep them locked up? They don't deserve to be afforded justice because they're Muslim to begin with. And all Muslims are suspect." That's the kind of logic they use.

Just to be clear, none of this transposed nonsense makes any sense purportedly coming from a Canadian source. Whoever did this doesn't have an intuitive sense of Canadian social reality. I suppose the transposer relies on the undisputed fact that most Americans know nothing of consequence about Canadian society at all. Explain how wanting to protect our country from terrorists is hyperventilation hype? You are not facing the truth. The truth of the matter is that people did die on September 11th, 2001 and that terrorists continue to plot against the US and other countries every day. The very fact that you would rather stick your head in the sand instead of facing the problem head-on proves that you definitely lack intelligence. That you would chide people who do not ANY country to be attacked by terrorist again is ridiculous. I pray that no one you know is ever affected by a terrorist attack. I pray that for all of you even though you call us names. I want my country and all countries to continue to fight terrorism wherever it may be and to do whatever it takes to stop it.
