AMERICAblog: Ignoring McCain's own pledge, his surrogates are attacking Obama's patriotism -- and the traditional media is ignoring it

  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
Why hasn't John Sydney McCain announced whether or not he has been faithful to his second wife during their marriage?

Be a man McCain! Answer the question!
  • Savage8862 · 1 year ago
Obama needs to come out swinging. He cannot let the McCain campaign's charges go unanswered. I know Obama pledged a clean campaign above all the "politics of personal destruction" but enough is enough. Kerry lost the election in 2004 because he did not counter the charges against him. Obama cannot afford to allow these charges to continue to fester in the minds of voters.

Take off the gloves Obama and fight for the office you claim to want to win.

Since McCain will not answer the question of his fidelity, it is safe to assume that he remains a serial adulterer and is most likely embroiled in an illicit sexual affair at this time.

BTW...anyone seen Vicki around lately? Why, she seems to have fallen off the edge of the world. Since John McCain doesn't speak for the McCain campaign, maybe the McCain campaign will release a statement that will clear John Sydney McCain's name on the issue of adultery?

Do the Democrats in Congress really want Obama to win is the real question.
Where are they and why is it that when they do speak out they are always complimenting McCain first, calling him a hero and and honarable man with integrity.

Obama needs surrogates to knock McCain off of his Maverick-Hero pedestal and this needs to be day everyday with no backing down.

Hillary's supporters went after Obama hard in the primary but where are they now and why aren't they going after McCain the way that they went after Obama.

Do the Democrats in Congress really want ANYTHING?

Dover does not really seem to understand the dynamics of what is happening here. We will not win the election by getting on one of our blogs and begging McCain to answer for his affair. Face it, there really is a growing realization that you have to fight back at some point. There
is a history within the Democratic party that we just do not seem to grasp that simple point. Obama has proven that he will take the high road. Now get down to the Chicago rules that he promised. McCain and his surrogates gave up their right to kid glove treatment long ago., The
fact is that even I am beginning to wonder if Obama has the guts to be president.
  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
What makes you think I don't call the McCain campaign each and every single day asking that question? Or the 3x daily emails?
My effort is to put McCain on the defense any way possible. What are you doing toward that end? Just posting on blogs about other people's efforts?
I do understand, far more than you could possibly know.
I await your list of what you personally are doing to fight McCain and his minions.
    Peace.

Dover: Do not make this so personal. My comment as to what "we" need to be doing was in the collective sense and the Obama campaign in particular.
The fact is that we do not have any particular effort that we may do individually or by posting on blogs. Yes, I do make my views known to the Obama campaign. My
family has worked for the campaign both in our home town and where my son goes to college. But this is just frustrating and too much like the Gore and Kerry
    campaigns.

    Ohhhh no you don't.

You made it personal. In your very first sentence you not only directed your comment to Dover personally, you also insulted Dover.

Very Republican of you: insult and then deny the insult.

And your "the sky is falling" is not only misinformed, it's tiresome.

To be nasty and a liar is not a honorable person, nor a hero. It takes guts to be honorable, it's the coward that usually takes the low road. Now having said that, I believe O will come out kicking plently ass.

I know from the pass elections the nasty/liar person won, but hopefully this time, taking the high road will prevail.

I hope the American people will see thru this bull s......, I mean for God's sake, I don't want "World War Three".

Plus if they keep showing the President of Georgia who looks totally disappointed that the U.S. did not back him up, McCain is toast.

It's not a matter of whether negative attacks work or not. Of course they can. It's a question of whether you want to be that candidate. That's not who Obama is. He would never be in the position he's in now if that was his strategy. However, standing up for yourself, attacking McCain on the issues with facts is not being negative. No one is saying that is a bad thing.

I already have call the offices of McCain and Liberman. I told them both about the taco bell ad that it was an insult the people making less than $40,000 a yr.
Also told them that saying Obama unamerican wasn't right. McCain office = assistant tried to hurry me up and I told her she was rude. Liberman office
the man I spoke with was nice and listened. Everyone write your senator or call make a complaint and let them know you don't like the insults.

In today's debased political environment, it all comes down to: who has the bigger, harder balls and bigger, harder dick? Even Hillary made this claim...
  • lilybart · 1 year ago
Need I name the one with the bigger dick??

    :)
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    LOL
Big dick? That's one reason McC keeps his wrinkled little hands with their small skinny fingers mostly hidden. No need to advertise his...uh...shortcomings.

I want a Carol McCain ad

Don't laugh, but I think it is time for an Obama speech on patriotism!
  • rexkc · 1 year ago
Just because McCain said he wouldn't question Obama's patriotism doesn't mean his campaign or surrogates wouldn't do it.

    McCain's Straight 2.0.

I don't care as much about Obama's response as I do that they media actually calls this what it is, slander and unpatriotic. I seriously hope the new Obama administration and the Democrats really take on the modern corporate media and the unprofessionalism and bias they exhibit against Democrats. I don't know how they do it but I see that as possibly the biggest problem this country faces.
