Thought I just heard on MSNBC that Blago resigned (maybe it was Harris)...if so, he should pack up and leave IL as well to get rid of the stench. Go to AK and join up with Palin...it's colder up there and it already smells.

I read somewhere, or else I dreamed it up, that his ancestral village in Serbia offered him asylum. It's good to be loved.

    if only it were Siberia.

Blagojevich was never interested in doing the right thing, so why should he start now. He reminds me so much of those televangelist ministers who got caught with hookers (male and female). From the big hair to the Rev. Jim Jones charm that camouflages a putrid soul. The longer it takes to remove this moron from office, the worse our system looks to the world.

He's going to be like George Constanza: Locked in his office trying to keep them from firing and evicting him.

I wonder if he has a custom desk with a bed under it?

I have a feeling his now former Chief of Staff is going to take a deal and roll on Blago. That would be good news, since it will expedite his conviction.

Nothing is simple in Illinois Politics, by the way.

Lisa Madigan was also "candidate #2" and her father is the State House Speaker and a Blago nemesis.

If we had had this 24 / 7 wall-to-wall coverage of the Valerie Plame scandal, or WMD in Iraq, we might have gotten some answers!

Obama (hopefully) represents the new Democrats...

let's get rid of the last corruption in the party... remember, that's why we had GOP controlled congress in the Clinton era.

this guy needs to be locked up.

Did anyone notice the sequence of recent headlines out of Illinois?... I noticed that the mainstream media reported that the State of Illinois was officially taking on Bank of America... I thought "what kind of balls does that take?!" Maybe such a daring action was inspired by Obama's victory, plus Chicagoans are never wimps, but rather activists, in general....
Then I saw the interesting article about Chicago workers protesting the lack of a Fed. bailout for their company to protect them from a mass layoff! I thought "well, that sounds like Chicago." They protest there with a vigor. I know this and pay attn. to these stories b/c I lived there recently for 4 years...

Then I noticed the following online article, after the arrest of the Gov. and can't help but wonder why so many Bushies walk free despite committing far greater offenses???!!!

"Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been arrested on corruption charges the day after he announced he was asking all Illinois government agencies to suspend business with Bank of America

Blagojevich’s arrest seems to be a strong signal that going up against the banksters will not be tolerated. “Blagojevich contended that Bank Of America received More..a multi-billion dollar bailout from the government and should accordingly restore credit to the Republic Windows & Doors company in Chicago,” writes Katharine Zaleski for the Huffington Post.

Last week the workers of Republic Windows & Doors occupied a factory in Chicago after the company closed down and stiffed the workers. “Workers said they were entitled to be given 60 days notice of the closure of the plant and demanded pay for that period as well as any unused vacation time,” the BBC reported.

Blagojevich demanded the Bank of America take “some of that federal tax money that they’ve received and invest it by providing the necessary credit to this company so these workers can keep their jobs.”'
