AMERICAblog: “I’m Hillary Clinton and I do not approve that message"

  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
It's easy, my friends, if McSame picks a man, point to the women he should have picked. If he picks a woman, point to her many flaws.
  • hrh · 1 year ago
"Did the McCain campaign really expect Hillary to take their side?"

It was worth a shot. Especially after she worked so hard to defeat Kerry, so she could run this year. But who woulda thought: OBAMANIA!

She'll be back in 2012, no matter who's in the WH. Hell, she just won't stop running.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
McCain is trying hard to foment discord in the Democratic party. He should be worrying about his own fractured party.
    ---

wait until mcsame picks romney or lieberman as his VP... you wanna talk about a fractured party????

egad. what's the saying about people who live in glass houses?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Wish they'd pick Pawlenty.

I can't believe anybody would vote for that dork.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
Soundboy: Don't worry about the McCain vp pick which will be made by Rove. Pawlenty will be the man with Mitty running a close second.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
Romney's magic underpants protect him from stones as well ad kitchen sinks.

    Secret Service detail is unnecessary.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Bless her heart.

Hillary can be OK when she's not channeling her husband.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
I still don't buy her "I'm completely with Obama" routine. I hold off making any judgments until AFTER the convention...in the meantime I keep a careful watch.
  • Asterix · 1 year ago
Agreed. The Clintons are masters of the machinery of party politics and certainly bear careful watching, no matter what Hillary says. I'd keep a close eye right up until election day.
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
Now that's what we need from Shillary. A lot more too.. her supporters need to know the republicans are painting them as McCain supporters - now how do they feel about that?

P.O.S. RepubCo are so victim oriented that they think they can drag everybody into their little wronged world by highlighting how they've been mistreated. They are afflicted with whineitis and they want to infect everyone with their disease.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    Seriously!!

they fuck up our economy, they allow unregulated credit schemes to bring down the major lenders, they get us into a stupid war with a country that didn't attack us... they fuck EVERYTHING the USA stands for over...

and then they cry that you're taking cheap shots if you point it out.

oh, and if you were a POW, you couldn't possibly be to blame for any of it... even if you're going to continue the same disasterous policies once elected.

    WTF?!?!?!
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
BOTTOM FEEDERS FOR McSAME: Each day brings more evidence of the slime which has become the McSame campaign. They are trying to win based upon mud and slime since the record of Bush and McSame will sink them. Mud and slime are their only hope and that's why the Rove/Steve Schmidt crew was brought in. Now Rudy is needed to do the same with 9/11 as his heroic backdrop.
  • ClintonHater · 1 year ago
Oh I bet my life savings she approves that message.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
People with life savings aren't allowed here. You have to be living on welfare, eating cat food to stay alive and going on line at the pubic library...
  • ClintonHater · 1 year ago
well I do eat cat food...
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    "No use to complain,

If you're caught out in the rain,

    your mother's quite insane,

cat food, cat food, cat food,

    Again!"

Very good! You on the Obama A-team?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Maybe mcCain will pick Giuliani... They could be a new superhero team: "The Adulterators"...
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
I'm still dubious of Clinton (both of them actually) but we will learn a lot during this convention I would think. I still can't believe that Billie is whining again...geeez doesn't he realize how he is losing credence day by day?
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    Hi, Polly,
I think Bill is a sick man. I am hopeful he will give a full-throated endorsement of Barack's readiness to be president on Wed., but I'm not betting the farm on it.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Hi there Hawk! Well, I am hoping for an endorsement as well, but I wouldn't count on it. Unfortunately, Bill cares most about Bill and he seems to forget what and for whom this convention is about this time around.

I read that Billie wants to talk about HIS 8 years in office and how much he did instead of speaking about National Security. Now isn't that ironic, he cares more about the past instead of how we should take care of our collective future...
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
This is where Bill is, and one of the reasons this country needs to move forward without the Clintons'. He's stuck in the past, and should realise Obama did what he had to do to win: just as Hillary tried to.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Did anyone else see HARDBALL with the 3 wackie Hillary supporters saying Obama was a MUZLIM>

    TOO FUNNY

They really made Hillary supporters look bad.....REAL BAD
    OMG Too Funny.
  • mush57 · 1 year ago
As background: I've been told to "fuck off" and been Called a "Clintonazi" on this blog because I refused to believe that Obama was God and was actually a politician. I still have an "I miss Clinton" bumpersticker and will continue to flout it until Obama is elected. Just to say, I still think she is better, but I WILL Vote for Obama. I mean, the alternative is senility. I even created a NO McSame sticker for my car. I have a strong feeling that all the talk about Hillary people not coming around is wishful thinking from the networks that need a story. Of course, Comments by Polly_Tics on this blog do not help any. Is there really any person on this planet (mother theresa being dead) that doesn't care more about himself than other things. I remember Kennedy, and Obama is not another Kennedy, Clinton was a GREAT P{resident to me. I had real money, and America was Respected.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I used to support Big Bill as well. It's unfortunate that Hillary turned negative! I think that is where she went off base. I'm inclined to believe that Obama ran his campaign better because he had "better" instincts. It's those instincts that tell me the type of man he is from the bottom up.

For many of Hillary's old supporters, this is not an easy thing to come to terms with. You have to admit, he beat her fair and square. He's an individual who was more in step with the "cadence" of his times than Hillary is/was. And, that is why he won.

We need innovative minds and leaders in these times. I'm glad you were able to make the switch.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I think Clinton was quite a good president.
However, his participation in Hillary's campaign was very damaging to her, and I hope he wants to stop hurting Obama.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
So sorry that you don't like my comments regarding the Clinton's, but they are nonetheless true to many Democrats. Hillary supported McCain during the Primary's and turned it into one of the very worst I have ever witnessed (and trust me, I'm no youngin).

I'm also not sure what my comments don't help. Tell me, do they not help you in some way? Do they not help further the Clinton v Obama alliance in some way? Or perhaps they don't help foster the illusion that Hillary (and Bill) are in any way good Democrats any longer?

I voted for Bill twice, loved his ass I did and defended him to people on the net, in my family and in my neighborhood. I wanted him to run again for President, that is until I saw him in the full light of day. I find both of them to be disgraceful in many ways and their venom has taken many forms.

No, I rather like the idea of free speech whether you happen to agree with my views or not. One of the best things about blogs is the ability to meet and debate others on all topics, be they political or social. Now if you disagree with them, it is your privilege and I would be happy to argue any point with you anytime, anywhere.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Mush57, you just outed yourself on line 9 of your own comment... You're a closet Repub who would vote for McCain if you win the lottery to protect your winnings from taxation
  • mush57 · 1 year ago
    Busboy
You are a Moron. My first vote was for LBJ in 64, I voted absentee from Colombia, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer. The only time I didn;t vote Democratic was once for Governor of Pa when I voted Socialist Labor ( Their Candidate had graduated the year before me from my HS) Closet Repub my ass. You should ban yourself from commenting because it makes you look stupid.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
So, you want to rescind what you said on line 9? You are altruistic and don't vote for things in your best interest? Hook it up and go!
  • mush57 · 1 year ago
is Hook it up and Go supposed to be some sort of secret code statement that "closet Republicans" don't understand?
on my computer screen line 9 is"coming around is wishful thinking from the networks that " i assume you are actually referring to "I had real money, and America was Respected." The funny thing is, is that the only times that I've had real money is when Democrats were President. When LBJ was President. I was living in center city Phila. Putting a wife through College, driving a convertible, My income was from Teaching and yet I still had left over for Vacations. then came the Republicans.
Would I vote Republican if I hit the number? No, they're still assholes, and I couldn't give Hannity the satisfaction. I might buy a lakefront "cottage" in Muskoka..
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
'Hook it up and go' means that you can vote yourself down the drain if you want to go that way...
  • Bobby · 1 year ago
Hillary's supporters are acting like a bunch of whiny spoiled brats.

She lost. Get over it and shut up!
  • Delia · 1 year ago
Speaking of dissension within the ranks, you do know, don't you, that the Ron Paul forces are having their their own parallel convention at the Target Center in Minneapolis during the rethug convention.
    http://rally.campaignforliberty.com/
They've got all sorts of people speaking at it.. Country western singers. Grover Norquist. Tucker Carlson is the emcee. That surprised me. I didn't know he was a Paulite. Lots of theorists I don't recognize. I don't know how much press it will get, but they're selling tickets.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
Hillary - YOU created this. The very second you endorsed McCain over Obama in the primaries was the second you screwed the Dem Party over and created these whack-job anti-Obama Democrats. Figure out how to fix it. If you don't, just get out of Colorado, head to Minnesota next week and stand right beside the traitor Joe Lieberman. At least he had the decency to abandon the Dem Party before he turned.
  • JetSetter · 1 year ago
It would be so powerful if they could get that Jed Report retort played on the big screen behind her and have her then comment upon it - the MSM would HAVE to report it. It needs wider play than just on the internets.

I have to give Hillary credit on this one. She addressed this properly and she delivered that line with conviction. Yes, she helped bring this on, but that's spilled milk now. She did the right thing today and did it well.
  • Scar · 1 year ago
This is a smart woman. Sounds like shes doing the "hurt Lynn Cheney routine" do galvanize support for the Blue.
