you would think that sex between consenting adults would be acceptable to the catholic leadership, but then again maybe sex with minors is more exciting to the dress wearing crowd in the vatican.

Jeez, you'd think they would be proud! They're saving society, after all. If you were saving the world for decency and good, wouldn't you want people to know about it? What on earth are they afraid of?

Lets face it, many, many Catholics are going to need some assistance getting into "heaven". Maybe they plan on the Mormons doing that "soul grabber" thingy they do. Idiots.

Mormons and Catholics... now there's an unholy alliance if there ever was one.

Could be, and is.
The Catholics are strapped (all those pedophile scandals didn't help), but the Mormons are rolling in it (10% of their income tithe is required of all church goes), and happy to stick their nose in wherever bigotry can be roiled up.

This will come out in the first campaign filing, but hopefully before then. If anyone knows, please post here. There is a delicious media war going on between the"new" daily paper and the local weeklies, and I know a reporter who would like to run with this. Not often a weekly scoops a daily.

He should get in touch with Fred Karger, from Californians Against Hate. Fred has filed papers with FEC to get disclosures from Maggie Gallagher, NOM, and the like and let the successful boycott of the Manchester Hyatt.

OT: Find and watch NY State Senator Tom Duane's speech this morning about limiting rent for those with HIV. Watch all 21 minutes. It's a must see. I fell apart. Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyP9eLrvcAA

In the same tone as the gothic horror movies, when the character says: " IT was muuuurrrrrder!..."
Now say: "They are Mooooorrmons....!"
A very scary cult.

Why are so-called religious people so sex obsessed? Don't they have anything else to worry about? You'd think the whole bible was about homosex. Really. They don't give a crap about the bible. But homos are a damn good moneymaker for them. Falwell proved that.

Seems that the religiosity crowd should be more concerned about helping children,(not boinkin' them), feeding the hungry, caring for those addicted to drugs, housing the homeless, etc, etc. I think they LIKE talking about all the "salacious" details of gay sex. It's like a legit way for them to get their daily dose of "porn". I mean, look at the lives of the public conservative, religious leaders who go "astray" of the flock. Frauds.

They have to create demons and sinners and enemies in order to 1) make the members of their churches feel "saved" and superior, 2) attract new members, 3) keep the members actively loyal, resulting in 4) wring money out of their membership.
If they had decided to go after hetero divorce or corporate greed or birth control, they'd alienate most of their potential membership (especially the ones with deep pockets), so they turn a blind eye to those "sins."

It's reportedly from a special Catholic Church fund. It wouldn't be from Mormons as Mormons would never donate through another church. And they make their donations in very public fashion. Of crucial note, however, is that Mormons have never taken a position on any gay rights measures ever, as opposed to Evangelicals. They oppose gay marriage but largely support the idea of eliminating civil marriage entirely, and for primarily the same reasons. Which may be a sensible compromise.

Which planet do you come from? It sounds like Planet Propaganda to me.
Exactly the reverse of whatever you said above, the Mormons did on Prop 8.

It's truly amazing how organized religion is not only allowed to interfere with the government and spread misinformation but they actually receive our tax revenue through the faith based initiative to do so !!
