"Facts of Life" (Mrs. Garrett) = Charlotte Rae.

But Charlotte Rae was a long-time buddy of Paul Lynde (they became friends in college and stayed friends for life) so I am sure she was pro-gay, unlike Susan Collins.

Strong rumors in Maine that Collins is very, very careful not to support gays too much because she may be in the closet herself.

Maine is a blue state for sure. We will finally turn a senate seat blue this year, and replace loyal Bushie Susan Collins with a Senator we can all be proud of.

Tom will be a strong voice for Maine and against the right wing. I'm glad hes going to be in the Senate, and part of the large majority that we will have in 2009 and beyond. Maybe we can finally fix this countries problems.

My fingers are crossed...go Allen, go Allen! Increase our numbers in the Senate and kick some GOP butt.

As an adopted Mainer and strong supporter of Tom Allen, I urge everyone who possibly can to donate to Tom. Collins, unbelievably, still has many Dems here flim flamed - I hear "she's so nice" more often than I can stand, and I live in Portland, prime Tom Allen territory. Even small money will really make a difference here, and Tom would make a huge difference in the Senate. He would join the very small group of those who opposed the war in Iraq from the very beginning. Senator Durbin was here a few weeks ago to compaign for Tom, which has to tell you something.

Great News!!!! I hate to be use something that really is more of an emotional issue, but come in late September, Allen should hammer Collins about home heating oil... Second, Allen should court independent women voters, because as I said many times before, I think Independent women voters, especially older women, are the key to winning the Senate election in Maine. When any incumbent gets below 50% it is get into the danger zone of losing the election....

Collins still has the advantage, especially in semi rural areas, and even though 49% poll rating with a 65% approval ratings means she will still win, barely. A couple things should be emphasize other than Iraq, Katrina, (it was Collins Committee to look over FEMA) Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, which is a incredible cost boondoogle, and the cost of Iraq, at $400 Million a day to a billion a week... Collins' image of a cost conscious senator is blown out of the water when she has been a water carrier for all of these boondoggles.

She's a Republican! She should be under 20 percent by now through association alone. What the hell is wrong over there? The Repubs sound like they are still an electoral force to be reckoned with when in fact they should be in hiding from a well armed lynch mob.

Here is a letter I recently got published in the Lewiston Sun Journal about Collins. You should read the comments at the end of the letter. She has some seriously retarded supporters:

    Nothing moderate about her

    Tuesday, June 17, 2008

U.S. Sen. Susan Collins is doing everything she can to make it appear she is a "moderate" Republican. Unfortunately for her, there is no longer any space for moderation in the Republican Party, and there is the Internet which enables the public to actually track her actions and then see if what she says is true. So let's see if what she says matches her actions:

According to the Vote Studies project, Collins votes with President Bush 82 percent of the time.

Collins supported the decision to use pre-emptive military force in Iraq; the most important foreign policy vote of the last decade and she got it wrong. She is the only member of the Maine Congressional delegation who supports an open-ended American presence in Iraq.

Collins supports this president and his clueless financial policies even as the country is being bankrupted. She has continued to support these policies, even when her colleague, Sen. Olympia Snowe, rejected the measures as irresponsible and voted against her own party. That is the definition of a moderate.

In 2005, Collins voted twice in favor of the Cheney Energy Bill, which gave $14 billion in tax breaks to oil and gas companies. That would have heated many homes this past winter.

It is painfully clear that describing Collins as a moderate is just an outright fabrication.

It will be wonderful to have her replaced with Tom Allen, whose rhetoric and actions do not conflict in such profound ways.
