The article revives the much raised question of how Hillary ever came up suddenly with millions in financing. Remember when her campaign was almost dry of funds, then suddenly huge amounts of unsourced money appeared. Bill Clinton's income had been traced back to tens of millions he made at corporate speaking events, yet much of it also mysteriously unsourced. Hillary and McCain have so much dirty money it's not even funny.

Several media outlets have reported that Sen. John McCain's campaign justified refusing to release Cindy McCain's tax returns by citing Sen. John Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, as "precedent." But they did not report that, in contrast with Cindy McCain, Heinz Kerry did release a part of her 2003 income tax return that showed "total income," which enabled The New York Times to analyze how she benefited from the Bush tax cuts. Such an analysis of how the McCains have benefited from the tax cuts -- which Sen. McCain supports extending permanently -- is not possible, based on the information his campaign has released on Cindy McCain's income.

Taking out the campaign finance ethics, we also have a very elitist John McCain...the same John McCain who lobbed the "elitist" label on Barack Obama. To the best of my knowledge, the Obamas don't have personal private jets. I would also love to know Cindy McCain's carbon footprint. Thank you for listening.

Regarding the NYT story about McCain using his wife's plane for campaign purposes, what took so long? I mean, all of the members of the press's sycophant express have been following him around like needy puppies for months, as commonly repeated reports about McCain "flying coach" floated around.

McCain could have just personally used the jet all he wanted and not run it through the campaign as an expense but instead does this -- short term thinking without considering the consequences.

If he can't competently run a campaign, how can he run the office of president?

The contrast is striking between these ultra-rich elitist bourgeois like McCain and Billary and a struggling working class family like the Obamas. While McCain and Shillary were counting their dividends and sucking up corporate lobbyist payoffs, Barack and Michelle were struggling in the inner city to raise two beautiful young daughters. Barack began as a volunteer working for the underprivileged and has never forgotten them. Hillary and McCain only show disdain with their "let them eat cake" attitude.

Barrack and Michelle, in their mid to late 40s reported 2007 income of $4.2 million. These folks are not elite yet, but they are not working class.

tbhull, what is your exact source on that? I have read that the Obamas aren't even millionaires. They are not elitist by any stretch of the imagination and I would consider them probably middle class - both working long hours to raise their young daughters (who attend PUBLIC school unlike pampered Chelsea).

The rich are a 'club'. They do everything to accomodate and enhance their own, even at the expense of keeping others out. They care not for rules, laws, orders - they don't apply to them. They are above it all. Why, because they're rich. McSame is a silly old man that married it. She uses her money to do as she's told - hoping for the catbird seat.

Busboy, once again, you lie. Most of the Obama's income was from his book sales, which skyrocketed last year, and boosted his 2006 income to $900,000. If not for book sales, which have been tremendous, the Obamas would have an annual income of less than $300K, including his Senate salary, Michelle's salary (around $105K as a hospital administrator) and a few small investments. Their net worth in 2006 was around $1.4 million (including their house), far less than other candidates this year.

The media won't ask McSame anything that may make him mad. These shit faces are afraid of him. Maybe we should start asking the media why they don't bother McSame about his lies and ourage remarks about "straight talker". This is just a superficial title giving to himself by himself. "untraceable at this time", I believe is the answer the Hillary campaign gave when asked the source of the ten mil raised after the Penn primary. Supposedly untraceable because it came from credit card donations over the internet and the donations wouldn't be posted and revealed until the next reporting date.

Mc Cain is so adept at working the system that he doesn't even realize how bad it looks to politically astute people. And, he doesn't care; because average people are used to this stuff and don't care. He got his spurs when he made it thru the Lincoln Savings and Loan scandal when nobody laid a glove on him.
