What a soul Brenden is, may his body rest in peace.

    R.I.P. Brendan, bless your heart.

Imagine a day when adults start to think like children again.
At 50, I look forward to the day i regress.
    Great post.

Same feeling I had Nick - in children we find truth, honesty, love and courage. Then we grow up in a world controlled by psychopaths who's selfishness, greed, bigotry and hate seem to colour our world. Hominoids sure are a strange species.

Couldn't stop my tears as I saw that last tear drop of Brenden's rolling down his cheek. Indeed, what a soul Brenden is! R.I.P. you good young man.

Saw this before on TV, made me tear up... adults can be so callous and cruel, this little boy just wanted to do some good with the little time he had. What a beautiful gift and soul.

WOW! What an amazing boy. Shows what we can do when we are good to ourselves and our world. I am in tears. Last week ABC/KOMO (my local station ) kept saying they were collecting food and "stuffing the truck" around the Puget sound area. They would refer to a boy's dying wish but I guess I kept missing the part about his name. This is him. RIP sweetie. You deserve it. you have done in your short 11 years here what few people do with the 80 years they are given on Earth.

At 11 years old, he is more man that most of the Bush Administration.

The wisest man I know. Bless you for thinking of others when your time was so short. May I have the courage to face the end that you had. How inspiring!!

Wow John, thank you for sharing that link, I shed quite a few tears over that one. Somehow in the blur of economic news, I missed hearing this. What an uplifting, inspiring young man. No, not young man, MAN. He grew up fast and became more of an adult than alot of adults I know.

I love his idea for the bees too, how sweet....

    RIP...

saw this on cnn... i feel like in some ways the story is exploting the boy, but he has a bravery that i know i wouldnt ever be able to have at that age. maybe even bravery is the wrong word, it was like looking at an old zen master knowing that this life was just a chapter in a much bigger story

I saw this story when I woke up on Sunday am and the tears just poured--this child was wise beyond his years--his body was ravaged by cancer and his face was all puffy because of side effects of medication but he could smile and be so matter of fact.

It is quite a legacy for one person to leave behind--much less from a child. Maya he rest in peace.

Sad things are not inspiring. They are just regrettable. Cute kids in pain are in particular not an appropriate subject for CNN or other institutions to exploit. Bleah.
