AMERICAblog: Indiana results

Is it possible? Damn I am tired but cannot go to bed until I know this end to this. IF Obama takes this state I want to celebrate it, even if I am the only one on line.

I'm sure its been mentioned several times already on Americablog, but what do you guys think about Indiana's voter ID law? Thousands of college kids from across the state (who I guess don't pay attention to state politics) were reportedly turned away at the voting precints because they didn't have state IDs (in most cases, they just had school IDs). Nuns were turned away too (I saw where that was already mentioned).

MSNBC reportin 91% reporting and Clinton's lead in indiana is down to less than 20,000 vote. all that is left is Lake County, heavy Obama territory. Obama could very will win Indiana. Although it is hard to imagine Hillary being a biugger loser and idiot than she already is, but Hillary will look a complete fucking idiot and total loser if Indiana goesa to Barroack after she gace her Indiana victory speech. This dem primary race is finally over!!!!!!

I don't think Indiana will be answered tonight. There are still thousands of absentee ballots out there that won't be counted until morning. And even if Obama wins Indiana, I don't think Hillary has the guts to face the music and call it quits.

    John

You are a big optimist! :)

Per TPM, Obama won the 28% in from Lake County Obama 75-25. If anything close to this continues then he wins Indiana. Clinton is finished!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best part of all of this is listening to all the talking heads literally have to do a 180 from all the "Obama is doomed" rhetoric they've been spewing for the last couple of weeks since PA. It is kind of sad that people are STILL trying to make it seem like Obama has no chance of winning in November.

I feel like, once again, going out and struttin to "Stayin Alive" like Tony Manero. Or better yet, it's time to cue up "Damn it feels good to be a gansta" from that movie Office Space.

And the big winner for tonight, Keith Olbermann ,who gets to have that cheese eating grin while looking Dumb-butt Pat Buchanan square in the face.

Clinton's lead is below 20,000 now. Going down. She may have one by Limbaugh's 1% "chaos" factor.

MSNBC has a guy in a secret cubical? Ha!!!!
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Oh nuts, too many outstanding votes to probably decide tonight. Chuck Todd is getting tired and showing his human side.

One delegate! All of the fighting in Indiana is over one delegate! I say call it a draw and move on. Clinton would be a fool to try to hold this night up as some huge victory.

North Carolina is my new favorite state bab-ay!

Russert just stated "We know who the Democratic nominee is going to be and no one is going to dispute it"

He seems sad, not as jolly as when he was driving the Wright issue.

What can Union County be like if 0% has reported. Anyone been there/ived there?
  • zabby · 1 year ago
If current trends continue in Lake County, Obama should pick up ~47,625 votes, putting him in the lead (he's currently behind by 20667).

(This is based on in my head math, ... if you assume Lake County 28% of precincts is 28% of the population, and just scale up the numbers, Obama will get an additional 47,625 votes).

Add in Monroe County... and consider Union County is smaller than either Monroe or Lake by a large margin (likely only to have 7000 votes or so i'd guess based on the counties around it).

In my opinion, it looks like Obama has won it! Hillary will HAVE to drop out now!

john, she meets with her pledged delegates tomorrow morning.

Call me a cynic, but I don't believe for one second Hill will drop out of this race. Why did she cancel all her appearances on the morning talk shows? I don't think it's because she doesn't know what to do. It's denial - plain and simple. Her logic: If I don't go on those talk shows and concede defeat over NC and/or Indiana - then I really didn't lose! So I'll stay in this contest until the bitter end. I don't believe you'll ever get her to admit that she's wrong or that she lost.
