AMERICAblog: Iowans attempt citizen's-arrest of Karl Rove

  • paulbe · 1 year ago
Being too nice. They should follow the Romanian model of citizen's arrest, citizen's execution and citizen's string body up in public place say like outside FOXNews offices as a warning. THAT would be kinda funny.

    I agree with paulbe 100%.

Vigilante activity is wrong, no matter how fun it sounds.

What the Iowans tried to do was right. If it is done enough maybe it will put fear into the Bush criminals.

Kissinger is scared to travel to some parts of Europe. That is good.

More courageous citizens. Good for them! If enough people become incensed, there would be no place for Rove to hide.

    I applaud these brave Americans!

It may be funny, but what is sad is that these Iowans were following Iowan law...and yet THEY were arrested for doing their duty. Crooks are above the law honest citizens are criminals. This is the true nature of the state of America

    John,
Off topic but, you should consider giving Tammy Baldwin some press for her executive powers speech today. Made me proud to be a cheesehead.

Reminds me of when Jeb Bush had to hide in the utility closet to avoid a mob attack............people are fed up, and this is the result.

There's a price on KKKarl's head, for sure. People aren't as stupid as he thinks they are. I'm really tired of people like him using their own failed existence to deprive and punish others in their quest for freedom and civil rights. If the Rove-types of this world couldn't live out their proto-fascist fantasies, we'd be a lot better off now, wouldn't we?

Perhaps psychological testing should be de rigeur for politics...

    more than congress has done

Actually this is not at all funny. In most states, the citizen's arrest laws allow us to do such if we suspect that someone has committed crimes. Maybe in a few years, we'll look back on this tiny incident as the little canary in the mine. If the McSame team is successful in pulling off another 2000 election debacle, with MSM help by no news reporting, then this nation is no better than a South American banana republic. Maybe we just need some blood running in our streets to wake up the people.

Carl Rove spoke at the University of Iowa a few months ago and was given the same treatment: demands for his arrest, very pointed questions from the crowd holding him accountable - very hostile reception. Many of the students and faculty had protested the University's inviting Rove to the campus in the first place. He was quite nervous and his response was quite hostile
I am proud of these people in Des Moines who put themselves on the line to hold Rove accountable. Who says all Christians are Republican apologists. More and more people need to demand accountability from the Republicans in office, both Congress and the Bush Administration. The American people need to clean house of these criminals who have taken our precious country to the brink that it is at right now. Bush, Rove, Rice, Rummy, and the number one criminal- Dick Cheney need to be before a War Crimes Tribunal, right after they are impeached! I agree that Patty Baldwin should get some space, she was quite impressive. ALSO, the testimony of Vincent Bugliosi, former LA Prosecutor and author of the book,"Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder!" - it is on You Tube and also Cspan. Go listen to him, he is great - Rep. King, R-IA, the biggest crackpot in Congress, is hilarious - claims he's having an aneurysm listening to Bugliosi - worth the time to watch this video.

J'accuse! Good for them. This is the reception these people should get everywhere, from every venue they enter.

I applaud all who are willing to attempt to put a stop to the horrendous wrongs and corruption that Rove has been willingly a partner to. I feel even those who are strongly conservative are beginning to illustrate they are not happy with the direction of their Party. This is a real PLUS for America.

Karl Rove is a blight upon this country. Hopefully he will get his just punishments which will be well deserved.
