I don't know what Palin is for or against........she speaks so much gibberish that when she's done I don't have any idea what she just said.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    You're right.
But she filled up the air space with a pleasant smile and truthful- sounding "facts", Since not many people listen carefully, she scores points.

John, you should really give credit where credit is due... ALL Ms. Palin's talking points, the "quotes" she uses and her "zingers" are all provided for her by the McCain Brain Trust. And being the good little Republican woman, she's repeating what she's told...

she's just acting like a blender --- put whole thoughts and phrases in, push the button and when you're done, if you're lucky, you might be able to make out the individual flavors of the original ingredients...

    Oh man.

Olbermann just read Lowry's love letter to Palin and talked about Lowry "masterbating in front of his TV."

They're going to get some letters about that.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
I about fell out of my chair when I heard that.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
    I LMAO!

Keith Olbermann is the best thing on television. Rachel Maddow is a very close second, or tied or whatever! I LOVE both of them. They are the only programs I refuse to miss.

God, she is such a drooling idiot.

I think the AMA still thinks Medicare leads to totalitarianism.

They're in league with the insurance companies to gouge the public.

A lot of older Republican men get off on the whole idea of Sarah Palin. They imagine themselves as President with a sex tart Vice President who will "serve them." Its about selecting who they would like to use their Viagra on if they got the chance. Its a fantasy for them... I've read some comments from Republican men regarding last nights debate and all they talked about was "her looks, smiles and winks" and how she just knocks them out with her sexiness. Uh, okay... yea, thats who we want running our foreign policy if McCain kicks the bucket. Who do you think is going to get respect from Middle Eastern politicians who have to present an image of male patriarchy? I don't think Palin's winks are going to work very well with them if she has to negotiate. Well, then again, it depends on what the negotiations entail, and where, I guess.

The Pakistani guy that Palin met with did a bit of flirting with her and earned himself a fatwa for his behavior... not going over so well with his countrymen and women...

I read a comment below where Hillary Clinton has refused to criticise Palin's performance. Maybe Hillary will be happy to go ahead and expain what Sarah Palin did that was so wonderful? Maybe Palin needs to teach Mrs. Clinton beauty tips, and how to sex it up more to get more votes since Hillary thinks she did such a wonderful job? Is that what is important to Clinton? If it is then Hillary has got some work to do because the only thing I saw last night was a pretty newsreader chick who winked a lot and spewed out practiced talking points to very EASY questions, and was able to IGNORE answering the moderately difficult questions.

I'm getting sick and tired of the Clintons and their quest for power at the expense of America's future. They either need to get onboard the Obama bandwagon or GO AWAY, and spend more time with the Bush's at their Kennebunkport compound.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
you know really, Hillary doesn't have to say anything about Palin's performance... and I really don't think she should... Ms. Palin might be firming up the tiny tent poles in the republican party, but she's driving everyone that thinks with their brains away in droves.

If Hillary were to weigh in it would divert attention from Palin's idiocy and turn it in to a press frenzy over Hillary's "bitterness and sour grapes" over not being on Obama's ticket... or her not being the Dem Presidential candidate...
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
Yes, Hillary dare not insult another woman in order to get votes for Obama.

I just read part of Peggy Noonan's article about how Sarah Palin supposedly "killed it." Uh huh... I suppose Peggy is trying to buy her way back into the Beltway Cocktail circuit after this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrG8w4bb3kg

Here is the link to her suck up article:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122300786229301...

Does Noonan think she can overcome that disastrous open mic, and get people to listen to her again? Then again, her audience is mostly Republicans and they are very easily manipulated, aren't they?

Republicans have controlled presidential media messages for most of the last 40 years. During that time they have turned "liberal" into a dirty word and established all the images and memes they need to set up feisty mavericks and cowboys to lead their political actions. It will probably take twenty years to undermine all that dirty work and set up new images and memes---if Dems set up a successful plan and begin on Jan 29. (Jan 29 is 108 days, 38 minutes and 10 seconds away.)
