I doubt it's news to anyone that over the last six decades corporations run the world as well as our political process. Companies are given huge tax breaks while the American tax payer foots the bill. In turn, these same companies move their headquarters off shore ( Haliburton ) to lessen their tax burden while we the people pick up the tab.
If that weren't bad enough, while they are killing us financially, their also culling the human heard via the foods we eat. Monsanto is a perfect example. The following video should scare the bejebus out of you and if possible, give the incentive in learning how to grow your own food.

And the repugs are good. With Hillary's help, they may convince another generation of voters to vote against their self interest because Barack Obama "insulted" them. Unbelievable. Wake up people.

Why shouldn't a company be free to move to wherever the taxes are the least? People are free to leave; and often do.

That's just not true. Some people do move to a different country, but it's extremely difficult for individuals. In some cases, it's almost impossible. Just ask anyone who has tried to do it. Much much easier for giant corporations.

Just heard that NPR reported the McCain FEC violation story. Anybody hear it?

All government must be supported, in an ideal configuration the support takes the form of participation and taxation. The ills that we face are a direct result of the majority of voters preferring to pay taxes, especially the hidden ones, instead of paying attention. There will always be those willing to abuse others, they are only held in check by constant attention from voters. There will be relief when enough people realize where their pain is coming from. Americans are exactly like a bunch of drunks blaming the bartender

ANd therein lies your problem. You don't know the difference between PEOPLE and corporations.

Uh, didn't the Democrats win control of Congress in 2006? Gee did I miss something? If not, then maybe there is a causal connection, as in businesses know that if the Democrats take the White House in November they are going to be taxed even more and regulated even more. Why is it a surpise to folks that when the tax and spend crowd look like they might take over consumer confidence plunges, unexmployment goes up, the stock market goes down, and businesses run away overseas?
