AMERICAblog: It's time for her to go

  • duchessofbilgewater · 1 year ago
I never thought I'd feel this way, but ... ba bye Clintons.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Rugbyman, grahamcrackerindc and all other Clinton sycophants,

Your candidate, Hillary Clinton, is finished. When will you be honorable enough to admit it?

I can wait three weeks if you need to stew and whimper, but if you were rational, as opposed to hysterical, you would admit it tonight!
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
We voters have sent the only message any SANE candidate would need to decide to drop out. Is hillary sane enough to get the message?

That's a rhetorical question of course. Of course she isn't. She listens to idiots like Lanny Davis on CNN tonight and she thinks she can still win.

The message now needs to be sent to the MSM and democrats everywhere. It is time to ignore her now. Kinda like the republicans are doing to Ron Paul :)
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
I Wonder why the Clinton camp is quiet. You don't see the smug, self righteous faces, spinning away, today. I am so glad for Senator Obama. He really had a bad couple of weeks, and it was rough. His victory today, should, at least, convince the wimpy super delegates, to make up their minds, and put and end to this nightmare. Hillary is like a bad guest who never leaves, and she has become a big irritation to the Democrats. Is she still going to continue this no end in sight campaign, that seems hopeless and with absolutely no chance of winning? How low are the Clintons willing to go?
They have tried EVERY trick in the Rovian book, and still are behind in every way. What a sickening bunch.
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
I hope Hillary's not expecting to be showered in flowers and chocolates tonight...
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
CNN has a real weak panel.

    Painfully weak.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
I feel so good. This should show Clinton and the talking heads, they cannot declare the victor. They can trash, they can slime, they can repeat talking points over and over, but they cannot deny the charisma and the hope Obama brings to people.

On a side note, I hope this wipes that smile off Terry McAwful. All day on MSNBC the grinning fool was predicting a Clinton momentum to the nomination.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
    we want Obama.

So So hard to admit the party is over, especially when it went so poorly. Clinton is in denial at this point. She also is accumulating damage at a suicidal rate. She was ready to damage the Democratic Party for her personal ambition, looks like many Dems are ready to return the favor

Kos: " Obama would have to win 57 percent of Lake County to win the state. A tall order, but we'll see."

Hilly will speak soon, She can say, "we are all one" (democrats) or she can make a case to drag this on... Its over, has been, and now she has her future to think about. THE TIME HAS COME.

if she has any class she will call it a night... and unite all of us.

we need to find Obama a VP that can appeal to the working classes....
because Harold Ford is full of it!
Harold Ford just admitted on the TeeVee that Obama needs to increase his appeal with rural, working class, Americans . . . by offering Hillary the VP slot!

While you guys are giving to progressive candidates, won't you please send some money Doug Tudor's way?

Doug's a recently-retired Navy Master Chief who worked for THREE CENTCOM COMMANDERS and now works for peace and the people by running against third-ranking House Republitard Adam Putnam in FL-12.

Putnam has one millllllllllion dollars to spend on this campaign.

Doug has... well, Doug has committed volunteers. And a commitment to ending Putnam's 98% go-along votes with his party.

    Please help.

And please ask John to feature Doug on Americablog.

Did I miss something, did they call Indiana for Obama?
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
AQ2, it sounds as if they expect Obama to at least narrow the gap as the areas unreporting could go big for Obama. He has almost 40,000 votes to make up so I doubt it but it could turn to a 1 or 2 point margin.
  • BorninUSA · 1 year ago
Please stop shoving Clinton on Obama's back. The talking heads want so much for Obama to take Clinton on as V.P. No, no, no, no!!!

After what she has done to Obama and to the Democratic Party why would they reward her with the V.P. job.

And she is still screaming for Michigan and Florida to be counted. MI and FL knew what the consequences were and went ahead to defy the Party. Now they want to be let back in the count. They don't deserve to be allowed back. If they are permitted to seat delegates what happens the next presidential election and several states decide to set their own primary dates in defiance of what the Party says. Precedent will be in place.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago

obvious???? what kind of delusion is this????where or where has objectivity gone?????.................................................Oh but don't tell Hillary that. She's on TV right now saying that she's staying in race. She's claiming that she won Indiana - and that's not at all clear. She's begging for donations so that she can stay in the race and continue to maim Obama. Her plan is obvious. She wants to so hurt Obama that he loses in the fall, that way she can run again in 2012 against President McCain, the man she's about to put into office.

John - perhaps its time for you to go. The hypocracy from you guys is incredible. Obama is clearly in the drivers seat after tonight, so now he is ready to make a deal on Michigan and Florida - but not before when it could have impacted the outcome. How big of him! I like the way you guys are already setting up his loss to be because of her. "She is destroying the party". No - she is exposing weaknesses that would otherwise be exposed in the fall. That is the point of primaries.

Russert floating a buy out deal for Clinton. All Obama has to do is pay off her debt. He should agree based on a 24 hour window.
  • BorninUSA · 1 year ago
Russert said something interesting just now. He said if Hillary stays in the race and she has a good chance of winning in W. VA and KY. Then she can say I told you so, I am the better candidate, I can win. If you let Obama have the nomination because he has more delegates and he loses the general election, I told you so. Talk about covering your ass!

Barrack needs to say to Clinton either you are finished when your brains splatter on the heel of my boot from my pressure for all the world to see or you publicly get on you knees and shine my boots by conceding. Either way you are finished, just pick your demise.

Both Clintons understand that as soon as a new Democrat enters the White House their status takes the express elevator to the basement. If Obama wins and does a half assed job he will be hailed as the greatest president since Lincoln. They don't plan on letting the gravy train be derailed. The dirty part of the race is about to start.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
BTW, did anyone catch earlier this evening that North Carolina is 35% African American? Good old Nora reported that Obama got 95% of the African American vote as if that is why he won. But since that group is only 35% how could he win on just their votes?
  • glen_morangie · 1 year ago
Not everyone in NC is a registered Democrat.
So, let's say NC is 50% Democrat, just guessing here, could be a lot less. And, let's say that NC's African American population is, what? 75% Democratic, sounds reasonable, right?
That means something like 53% of the Democratic voters in NC are African-American. Times .95 is damn close to all you need.

It's not obvious at all. She is staying in because she believes she has a better shot at beating McCain.

Obama will be crushed in the fall, if he is the nominee.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Graham will you vote for Obama? Answer Yes or No or admit that you are a coward and/or a republican. Hillary is fucking finshed.

"Obama will be crushed in the fall, if he is the nominee."

Tell us oh fountain of wisdom, do you repugs plan on bringing Reagan or Eisenhower back from the dead? That is about your ONLY chance of winning ANYTHING come November. Don't get your spirits too high over the head to head polls so far. McCain has been out of the news but once he gets back in and gets exposed for the rambling senile crazy bastard he has so sadly become, Obama wins by a landslide.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Mr. Cracker has a secret poll going on in his head.

The real polls say Obama beats McCain on the war issue alone. He will cream McCain on the economy.
  • GrahamCrackerDC · 1 year ago
"Graham will you vote for Obama? Answer Yes or No or admit that you are a coward and/or a republican."

I am an independent, and I don't make a decision until the day of the election. I think it's unwise to decide until one gets as much information as possible about all of the candidates.

At this point, I would find any of the three (Obama, Clinton, McCain) acceptable as President.

Obama is a far more appealing and inspirational speaker -- but that doesn't translate into substance.

Clinton has honesty issues (what politician doesn't? -- Obama has been caught in some half-truths)

McCain is an appealing maverick, but is too weak on immigration.
  • dagman · 1 year ago
Lunastick - not bitter at all. Just a realist. I have not voted for a Republican in over 10 years, but work in a very Republican area/affice/industry! Seven years ago I predicted with absolute certainty the disaster the Bush Presidency would be. Now, they ask me how I was able to call it so clearly when there was little info about him (only in elected office for 6 years as a Texas Gov and a fairly benign record) to predict the horrid result that has become his Presidency. The reason I was able to predict the disaster was the fealty of his supporters. They were wIlling to overlook all his flaws and had absolute disdain (bordering on patholigical hate) for his opponents. Why bother to govern well when your supporters will support you anyway and work to destroy your opponents. I see the same thing with Obama supporters - and it scares me. I heard a guy on the radio today equate Obama to the democratic movement as Jesus was to the Christian movement - and he was an intelligent guy (very well spoken and 2 kids in college). I see the same thing here and on kos and it is frightening.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
I'm trying not to laugh at this dagman. Seriously, have you heard of hillary Clinton? Do you know ANYTHING about her? Do you not know ALL the negatives that go with her and yet wonder at how anyone of sound mind can support her?
I expect Obama to be better than average as president. That will make him the best we've had in my lifetime.

Indiana down to less than 20,000 difference! Whoo-Hooo!
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
    dagman

Do you want to know the difference. George Bush for all his education is an idiot. He removed smart people from government jobs and replaced them croonies. Obama is intelligent. I believe he will find the best people and place them accordingly, not according to what they contributed. Of course, some of that goes on no matter which party is in power but I don't believe you will ever see a guy like Brownie heading the Katrina mess.

You apparently are too young to ever remember a nominee that swept the hearts and minds of Americans, I am talking about Jack Kennedy.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
