Oh My God her poor family. Can you imagine?

    "Where's ma?"

"She went to DC with some of her crazy friends, she'll be back tomorrow."

"Ahh, some peace. Hope she doesn't get into any trouble, after all what's the worst that could happen..?"

i actually pity this woman. can you imagine having to live with this the rest of your life?

The scary part ... and i didn't believe it until i went there at the suggestion of someone else here or at kos ... is that this woman is not unique ... if one visits hillaryis44.com ... that site is scarier than anything in freeperville ...
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Yeah, try Taylormarsh.com too.

mydd has been bad too, but their Hillbots seem to be losing steam.
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
Well, this is what being lied to for two months will do to you. Your favorite candidate tells you that she can really win, and you believe her. Then she tells you that she really did win, but the woman haters are trying to take it away from her, and you get angry. It only proves why we've been saying that Hillary staying in the race, and spewing the crap she's been spewing, is extremely damaging to the party. She's hurting our chances at beating John McCain. And it's more than ironic since who is going to the first hurt when John McCain overturns Roe v Wade? Women.
  • Rocky37 · 1 year ago
Wouldn't happen with me -- one of us would be very dead first. Feisty as my Italian wife and she proceeded me. Nope, I had nothing to do with it!

I'm confused - is she a second class citizen because she's the oppressed white woman or because she can't read a map? Last time I checked Manhattan was in NY and did not have any question about their delegates being seated. Only crazy, stupid, white women with demetia will vote for Hillnuts in November...
  • ndtovent · 1 year ago

The Clinton campaign itself is so clueless about the Internet and YouTube that it would be ironic that this woman Harriet Christian is not even aware of what a big hit she is. I don't know, on one hand I hear a life time of perceived slights and hurts in this woman's rant, and on the other, it sounds like pure Geraldine Ferraro.
  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
Yes, I thought that. Reporters are probably tracking her down, and she has no idea how they are all seeing her rant.
  • Psyche · 1 year ago
Believe me. They aren't clueless about the internet. They thrive on it. I only know one real Hillbot (and only online). She's been posting videos of herself to Hillsights and wrote to me today with links to a CO paper in which she'd been quoted from an interview at the demonstration and a picture of herself on the "front page" of the NYT (well, web edition as it turned out). This is their moment of fame. Hillary gave them a purpose in life and lifted them from obscurity. They're delighted with the coverage and seemingly clueless about how they appear to others.
  • TimRusso · 1 year ago
    olbermann?
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
I don't see what is so funny about this video(other than her obvious stereotype). It represents how a lot of us "Hillbots", as you call it, feel.
  • Balt_O_Matt · 1 year ago
I don't find it funny. I find it infuriating. This woman apparently doesn't even know why she's there. She's a New Yorker. Her delegates are going to be seated. Why is she even there? It's nonsensical. Women's votes counted in this primary process. And, recently, our candidates have split the vote of Democratic women, if I'm not mistaken.

I'd like you to elaborate about how you feel. You really feel that Barack Obama ran for President b/c a white woman was running? As a Hillary supporter, what parts of Ms. Christian's comments do you agree with? Disagree with?

    Cheers,
    Balt_O_Matt
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
I don't have to agree or disagree. I am not a white woman. I am a white guy. I think it boils down to the first time in many years we thought we couldln't lose because of what Bush has done to the Republican party and the US. I didn't think for a minute that a Repub could win this election. It was only sensible that this election is an opportunity for us to reach out to a minority wether it be a purple one eyed woman, or a green gay alligator--we couldn't loose. That is not the case now. I misjudged just how much we could push the envelope on biases. I personally like Hillary--an outspken white woman who is probably crooked and thinks a lot of herself. I would venture most of her skeletons have been drug out in the open by Ken Starr and she is still fighting like a winner. Obama on the other hand is pushing the envelope to me--not that I think we can't elect a black man....just not this one. He is very young and as inexperienced as Hillary. His associations with the radical black liberation movement scares a lot of white people. He panders to all sides...giant gospel concerts AND gays...that doesnt add up. He encourages graduates to not go after the big house with the expensive suit...ummm...where does he live and what does he wear. He claims to be an outsider...he isn't--I am an outsider--never held office...never been to dc...that is an outsider. And not to mention all the easy shots the Repugs are going to take on him that he has held up high for them...Michelles proud american comment, the flag pin issue, the preachers, the church, etc etc etc
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
That's nice. But your candidate lost. So it really doesn't matter what you think as to his credentials. You're either for Obama, or you're for McCain. Choose what kind of country and planet you want to live in.
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
    I will write Hillary in.
  • anneeliz · 1 year ago
Then you are for McCain. Simple. Do what you want, but do not lie to yourself about for what you are voting.

I'm interested in all these Hillary supporters arguing, "Obama is unelectable, therefore I am not going to vote for him," and not really seeing the problem with that statement.

If you think Obama is going to be the nominee, then you don't have a complete understanding of what goes on behind the scenes in party politics, particularly convention politics.

The purpose of the primary is to see if one candidate or the other can completely overwhelm the other, causing them to drop out, or at a minimum, providing a lopside popular vote on which the SDs can base their votes at the convention.

Democratic primaries, by virtue of their use of SDs, are not necessarily decided on the basis of popular vote, or even # of states won. They do not operate like the general election, and they are not intended to do so.

Aside from the popular vote, there is a backroom system available. Additionally, it is significant that MI and FL will have their entire delegation seated with 1/2 votes, rather than 1/2 the delegation with full votes. Very significant.

As I said, there is a system available -- and despite the popular vote, that system will be put in place to make Hillary Clinton the nominee.

    Get used to it.
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
Are you high? There is a backroom system in place, and they're called superdelegates. And you lost them. The second backroom system is the Rules committee meeting. And even though the majority of those on the committee were Clinton people, you lost again. Keep smoking whatever you're smoking, but you're just going to keep getting more and more pissed every time Hillary doesn' come up the winner. You were lied to. At some point you're going to realize it. But seriously, our readers are way too informed to fall for this crap.
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Perhaps 'Neutral' observer doesn't realize he cannot (unless there's some backroom system involved) get McCain Blogger points from posting on Americablog. Only on DailyKos and Politico. For now...

This woman is like a recurring cancer.

    Clinton hopes for switches

Ken Vogel reports that in a press conference before taking off from San Juan, Hillary Clinton reiterated Terry McAuliffe's suggestion that her campaign might court Obama's superdelegates.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/
  • nuneutralobserver2008 · 1 year ago
Exactly -- that is part of the backroom system I referred to in my earlier post. Clinton's strategy is to get close in pledged delegates, get MI and FL, and then convince uncommitted SDs and some of Obama's SDs that she's the best person to beat McCain. The strategy is already being implemented and it will work.

I wonder if she can count on the support of the "fuck you, Hillary Clinton" a-bloggers, in her fight against McCain in the general.
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
Again, you're high. I understand, you've been lied to, and you actually think Hillary has a chance. Fine. In a few days, or a few weeks, you're going to find out that Hillary has lost and that you were lied to about her "chances" over the past two months. There's really no point in debating this because you're under the influence, so to speak.
  • rainlillie · 1 year ago
I agree, John. The Clinton supporters are the new Bush supporters. Same people different candidate.
  • nuneutralobserver2008 · 1 year ago
I don't support Hillary. As my name suggests, at this point I am a neutral observer. I believe in having the most amount of information available prior to voting and therefore I don't make a final decision until the day of the election.

I'm not pushing for, or endorsing Hillary Clinton. I'm merely pointing out what I think the ultimate outcome will be.
  • lov446 · 1 year ago
John, even though you know this, I just wanted to say it, that the reason these type of people are so upset, is because Bill Clinton and Hillary knew exactly how to stir them up into a frenzy, wanting them to riot in the streets at the Denver convention; which is what they are planning to do. I wish the news media would say this, because everyone knows it is true, and her suporters don't even realize they have been brainwashed into doing anything for them.

This is a picture of her average supporter, and that says it all for their level of intelligence that let the Clintons use them to get Hill elected with distortions, lies and more deceptions using their own ignorance against them and for the Clintons. These are Hillary supporters and this is why they are Hillary supporters!!
  • nuneutralobserver2008 · 1 year ago
There are no rules that prevent Hillary Clinton from persuading Obama's SDs to switch to her. They ARE NOT PLEDGED.

Additionally, if enough SDs weasel out and abstain from first round of voting at the convention, then on the second and subsequent votes, ALL PLEDGED DELEGATES BECOME UNPLEDGED.

There are mechanisms and loopholes by which Clinton can and will win the nomination.

I DO NOT SUPPORT CLINTON, OBAMA, or MCCAIN. I am merely an observer.
  • anneeliz · 1 year ago
They are not pledged, but no serious observer has thought for a moment this was going to go to anyone but the person with the pledged delegate lead. There is simply no way in hell they are going to take this away fro Obama--even if it were true that Hillary would be more electable (fairly laughable given the horrific campaign she ran and the fact that half of the country dislikes her) the Dems don't actually want to rend the party asunder and destroy it for the next decade or so. Hillary will try, sure, but she won't succeed. She;s been trying since Feb and has gotten, what, 10 supers to Obamas 70?
  • switched · 1 year ago
Appreciate the ALL CAPS clarification nuet... Ultimately Hillary needs delegates as that is the rule that has been in place since she started running and what she agreed to. She is using her mathematically challenged popular vote to persuade delegates and committees to give her delegates. I think the problem for her is other people understand math and don't buy her arguments. I could be wrong and she may find loopholes that keep this painful primary with us until August and actually grab the nomination. The juvenile behavior of her fanatics makes the outcome of her overthrowing the will of the people somewhat interesting. We have the Clinton fanatics actually fantasizing about shooting Obama and we also know a certain percentage are squealing about voting for McCain as they're so upset with how the DNC, Obama and I have treated them. Voting against their interests as they are upset that the overall primary vote didn't go there way? This is going to defeat misogyny somehow? LOL. If Hillary steals this thing I'll be very interested how the election goes. Being a male Hillary supporter that has accepted and embraced Obama as the nominee I am mystified by the current claims of the Clinton campaign.
  • CitizenTwenty · 1 year ago
Now it's NOT about delegates, it's all bout the popular vote...
Of course as Senator Clinton calculates it.
Her approach to how the results of the primaries should be evaluated are very similar to the rules of Fizzbin explained here:
    http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Fizzbin
    Here's her rules...
You only count States you like (i.e the one's you won). You ignore and minimize States that suck (i.e the ones you lost) and insist on counting the Michigan vote result where because Obama wasn't on the ballot she gets all the votes and he gets none.
Her and her lackies delusions about her 100% Michigan primary victory would even make a Hardcore vote-rigging dictator (read: our current President) jealous.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
When Hillary thought she was behind in the popular vote, she said it was about the superdelegates. Under the illusion of being ahead in the popular vote, and knowing she is behind in the superdelegate count--it's back to allowing the popular vote to declare the winner.

    Strange politics indeed.

What I'd like to know is this: after seven years of pure unmitigated hell, war for no reason, over four thousand Americans and untold tens or hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead, our economy in ruins, the constitution on the ropes, our reputation and our very core values in tatters, jobs and benefits being shed left and right...why, for God's sake, is it even close? How is it that we can be reamed as we have been for seven years and still even be considering another great big steaming pile of more of the same?

It has been a while since I have heard a rant so shrill and juvenile.

    **Cough Cough**

GO AWAY YOU HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING

IT'S NOT CLOSE. YOU FREAKING LOST THE NOMINATION, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Good God. What is wrong with her? The Clintons and their campaign staff don't give a damn that they are now hurting our electoral chances in the fall against McCain and against the Republicans in Congress. Their campaign isn't happening in some vacuum, and they know it. Our candidates can't fundraise because of her. Obama can't focus on McCain because of her. Obama is wasting money on HER, rather than spending it on McCain, because of her. EMILY's List, and AFSCME, and the American Federation of Teachers and others are wasting their members' money on her now-failed race - money that they could be spending, should be spending, on other real races, races that haven't already lost. She can't win, the math says she lost the nomination, but she doesn't give a damn. She's going to stay in the race like some spoiled hateful egotistical brat.

Why is the media even covering her? The only stories that should be written about Hillary Clinton is how much damage she's causing our party. How she's hurting fundraising at the DNC - they even admitted it, they're not raising the money they need to fight John McCain because of this woman. Why don't you write some stories about how she is hurting our candidates who can't fundraise because of her? How she has forced EMILY's List and AFSCME and the AFT to waste their money because of her. How she has caused a civil war in the Netroots. Five months ago we all felt that we had 3 great candidates. Now, far too many of us loathe Hillary Clinton, and she has done her racist best to ensure that her supporters can't stand Barack Obama either.

The Clintons don't give a damn about our party. Their party, their church, is themselves. To hell with everyone else. I actually liked Hillary up until a few months ago. Other bloggers used to tell me that Joe and I were too nice to Hillary. People just assumed that we were endorsing her. Now I actually loathe her. She makes me yell at the TV like she's George Bush, and no one other than George Bush makes me yell at the TV - until now. I actually can't stand her or her husband any more. I defended her. I defended her husband. And now I'm actually wondering if the Republicans weren't right about them. That's how bad she has damaged her reputation. People who actually liked you, who actually helped you, who actually defended you, LOATHE you now. Call me a Clinton-hater all you like, but people like me were the ones who had your back. And we never will again.

Let me close with what Mike Huckabee just said on MSNBC:
"The happiest person in America tonight is John McCain."

this is probably in the day-late-dollar-short category, but, i was putting my life on the line as an out Lesbian and feminist way back yonder when people like this old bird were shuddering and calling us all kinds of crazy--i been doing this a long time and my commitment to the womens movement is beyond question: 2 daughters + 5 granddaughters, but i've still got the good sense to know that during this election-especially THIS election-Hillary Clinton is more of the same mess as Bush, as is McCain, and Obama is the best PERSON to clean up the Bush mess. Clintons have too much invested in the status quo and will be too busy sweeping all past sins under the Oval Office carpet. they don't care about US, or USA, for that matter. Obama's our only hope. too bad there isn't some disease going around to strike all idiots and leave just sane folks. unfortunately, we will always have them with us--something like the poor.
