AMERICAblog: Jenna Bush's wedding pastor rips McCain's adultery and comments about Cindy joining stripper contest

  • Gorgonzola · 1 year ago
McCain is the perfect example of what our country has become. He gets into West Point because of connections even though he barely got through high school. His inept flying skills wrecked four U.S. aircraft, the last crash got him a stay in a VC prison where he sang like Gladys Gooding at the ball game. Next he dumps his wife for the hot number he's shacked with and marries into a beer fortune. In our upside down values system this Bozo gets to run for President.

BTW... I wonder if he and cindy have a pre-nup... or if he'd sue her in California for half of her worth?

only asking because... she's getting up there... and she just had a car accident, so... why not trade in the car for a newer one? so to speak.

John Sidney McCain III is a legacy, like George Bush at Yale and Flounder in Animal House.

Doesn't matter how sleazy McCain is. He will still end up with 45% of the vote in November.

    Sad.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
francisv: Just who are those " 45% " who will vote for McSame? The US has been put into such a bad situation on all fronts that it is beyond belief that any person could vote for MORE OF THE SAME PAIN & VOTE McCAIN !!!!!
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Mm-kay: McCain's misogyny, adultery and general male chauvinist piggery is officially "out there," thanks to Rev. Kirbyjon (that name!) and ABC. We gonna have us some fun with this!
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
you can always tell when John's fired up by something because his posts will turn into one long sentance instead of separate paragraphs making it harder to read them even though that doesn't diminish their content at all because he's right on point that Obama and none of his 'surrogates' made these comments, jenna bush's pastor did.

    just picking John :-)

don'tcha just hate us bitchy queens? :-)
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
Joe always tells me when they become big paragraphs :-) I try to break them up, really I do - and this one was one big paragraph before you saw it LOL But they're kind of hard break up.

The campaign so far reflects exactly the kinds of values that I expect of Republicans: contempt, ridicule, ignorance, exclusions, privleges for themselves, and generic stupidity. They're right on track and if they stay on track, given Howard Dean's DNC eagerness to throw away elections, they'll win in November.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
can't we prosecute rove and his minions??

unless their particular politics lead to prison... this is the way its gonna be from here on out.

or until mcsame bombs everyone on the other side of the Atlantic.
  • rexkc · 1 year ago
I suspect Rove will be pardoned for any crimes he may have committed sometime just before January 20, 2009.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
What does Indigo have against Howard Dean? His 50 state effort seems to be paying off rather well by any measure including record numbers of new democratic registrations. Where is Indigo coming from when the evidence favors Howard Dean?
  • hardeknox · 1 year ago
Dean evidently said today that the Republicans are the white party. I know smarter doctors. Shut up, please just shut up. And to translate, "my friends"='lie coming."
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
hardeknox: Can you provide a source for the alleged Dean statement
regarding the " white " party? Thanks, Ron

Self Proclaimed War hero left his sick wife for a rich younger woman.

POW hires another POW to dump his poor sick wife.

POW left his family values in Hanoi.

How many Cindy look a likes did McCain cheat on Carol with before he found the rich Cindy?
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
Yes, McSame does have much experience and all of it is negative. It's far better to have excellent intelligence and judgement of lesser quantity that a great deal of poor experience as does McSame. How on earth can the American voters fall for this incompetence for a THIRD TIME ?

They aren't going to let Johnny boy have his cell phone back anytime soon, are they? They might take away his microphone privileges to boot.

I'm hoping....hoping....hoping....the evangelical movement will split up between the more rational men of God and the crazy Repub ones who are basically in it for the money.

Having a Christian family man like Obama running against an aged frat boy like McCain should help encourage the split.

google bomb Carol McCain so stories about her come up in the first 5 pages of John McCain search results
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
I didn't think it was possible but the Republicans have found a candidate who is even worse than George Bush. My guess is that is the makeup of the Republican Party, a gang of absolute zero idiots, each worst than the last.
  • rexkc · 1 year ago
Apparently, McCain has all the ethics in the world. Its the people he hires who are scum, and he is such a poor manager thats its impossible for him to do anything about it.

I think you need more facts here and less biased opinions, if you want to be taken more seriously overall.

Also, if you have to go back 30 years to find something negative about a person, than you have already lost your argument in my opinion.

Does anyone here really think the majority of people really care what happened 30 years ago?

Today McCain has been married to the same woman since 1980 and has no record of cheating on her since that time.

I should not have to point this out, but a lot can change a person in 30 years and apparently that is the case with McCain and his current wife today.

Before I forget, here are the real facts.

Carol was a swim suit model and married with two children when she met John McCain. She divorced her first husband and married John McCain. McCain adopted her two boys by her first marriage and together they have one daughter.

During the the time John McCain was held as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, Carol was disfigured from mutiple injuries due to a car accident. When John McCain returned from Vietnam in 1973, he stay married to her for 7 more years. When they split up John McCain agreed to pay her medical expenses for the rest of her life. John McCain and his first wife Carol are on good terms and she still supports him and his political career today. John McCain is on good terms with his children from his first marriage too.

Below is what his first wife had to say about their marriage.

"My accident is well recorded," Carol recounted. "I had 23 operations, I am five inches shorter than I used to be and I was in the hospital for six months. It was just awful, but it wasn't the reason for my divorce."

    Hi John McCain campaign staffer,

I agree with you to a point. A simple affair that happened awhile ago wouldn't be all that important. The only problem is Republicans are obsessing over John Edwards affair, who chose to stick by his family in the end. And as they are saying, it's the lying. McCain and his mother are still lying about his affair with Cindy and what happened in the divorce. McCain's mother sued Carol over property, etc, and now they are saying they don't remember. The American people have been hearing a lot of "I don't recalls" in the last 6 years and that isn't going to play well.

Also, Democrats still remember Vicki Iseman. John McCain has unequivocally denied having the affair. If anyone can offer any proof of this, he is toast. Many women believe the phrase, "Once a cheater, always a cheater." So his background becomes important. His character, too. The Republicans had a weak lot to pick from this year and I believe McCain was your best because of the mythology he has built. That is slowly being torn down. McCain is a guy who has used family connections and wealth to make it possible for him to become president. Sounds an awful lot like Bush.

    McCain=Bush

By the way, you Republicans are worried about what Michelle and Barack wrote in their college papers and where Barack attended elementary school, so I think you lecturing us on it being weak to bring up something from the far past is kind of silly. Better luck next time.

My problem on this is that the biblical admonition is "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife." It's not, as it's frequently quoted, "Thou shalt not commit adultery."

Now, given that we're supposed to read the Bible literally, and not interpret anything or bring any reasoning ability to the task, that would mean that since Cindy McCain wasn't married when John McCain cheated on his first wife with her, there's no sin. She wasn't anybody else's "property" when he "took" her, so that's apparently OK from a fundamentalist perspective.

So, give it a rest folks, nothing to see here. I mean, if God meant to condemn someone for coveting HER neighbor's HUSBAND, then Cindy McCain would be in trouble. But surely the Big Guy would have spelled that out on the Top Ten list if he thought it was important.

And if anybody doesn't get the fact that the above statements involve a fair degree of irony, don't bother replying.
