OT here, but OH MY GOD...Bush just gets dumber and dumber as time goes by. In January, he said something I think Congress ought to ask for clarification on, I believe it is impeachable. He said that though the NIE, i.e. HIS spy network for interpreting information, says Iran is not working on a nuclear bomb, he "doesn't agree with them". One MUST ask, where the president then is getting this "knowledge"? I mean he has one source, Central Intelligence Agency that is charged with diagnosing this. Bush has no mole in Iran, he has no one with fisrt hand knowledge, so HOW IN THE WORLD can he form an opinion that is contrary to the one of the experts? This is how he also forms opinions on global warming. He's not a spy or a scientist.
Oh yeah...maybe it is how he "defines" things that all the magic happens, like here, yesterday:
"President Bush was asked today what he says to critics who see no end in sight in the war in Iraq - is it an open-ended war? And he effectively said it is - at least for the remaining 10 months of his presidency.
"So long as I'm the president, my measure of success is victory - and success,'' the president said in the Rose Garden, standing alongside British Prime Minister Gordon Brown"
So, he defines thing by using their own definition. Just...wow...

Frankly, I don't care if those investment banks fail. If it affects federally chartered banks, I really don't care about that, either. The shift of wealth has got to change, and if it takes the form of investment and bank failures, so be it.
What I care about are the millions of Americans who will be basically homeless, those without health insurance, educational opportunities, food--you know, the essentials of life. That would probably include people in my own family (including me), and my friends and neighbors. I don't know any really rich people, and I don't give a shit about them, frankly. They've made life miserable for far too many of us.
