AMERICAblog: Job Killing John

  • S_in_Tokyo · 1 year ago
Perhaps "Job-killing John" would be a better way to get across what you mean.

    I agree.

    Good ad.

This is nothing campared to the McCain involvement in giving a huge contract to Airbus instead of Boeing.

That cost America about 40,000 jobs.
  • gobble · 1 year ago
All of Airbus's refueling jets for the Air Force contract would have been built by American workers in American plants on American soil. Besides, Boeing really brought that little fiasco upon themselves by basically buying the Air Force procurement chief.

Well, then I guess it's OK to stiff an American company in favor of a state-owned European one.

Balance of trade is overrated anyway, huh?
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
gobble is not quite true, they built the first 4 in their main plant.

Still, how can we develop new technology if we are building things abroad? Industry seems to have a lop sided balance with government, so it is hard to achieve anything important. R & D, etc.

The solar power plants in the SW will get their panels from Germany-among the highest labor costs in the world, much higher than America. But free college, health care, etc.

Excellent! I haven't seen this ad on TV yet. Maybe after the conventions when the gloves come off?

John McCain: The wrong choice on jobs, the wrong choice FOR the job.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Everybody's attacking JohnnyMac. Nobody's championing Obama. We've seen this before...
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
As a side note, related to McSame, did I hear this correctly on my local news tonight...the anchor said that the big buzz was that John McCain would make a major announcement at his convention that he would only serve ONE term?? WTF?
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
He may not think he is going to live past one term. What with him being old enough to remember when dirt was invented and all.
  • bumpkis · 1 year ago
Lieberman will be standing in the shadows to take over, most likely before the end of a FIRST term. This has been the plan from the get-go..December 17th when Lieberman formally endorsed McCain, and the bank loans got signed....same day.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
God help us all if that comes to fruition...
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Again, and again, and again I ask! Is this ad going national? Is this ad mainstream, or is the Obama campaign going to let this one pass?
  • ClayPotts · 1 year ago
McCain's McJobs for America program only saves the flippers at MacDonald's. The good paying jobs with benefits will continue to go overseas just as they have done under Bush.
  • DCinDC · 1 year ago
The MSM protects McCain. This information never reaches most Americans.
