  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
look behind mccain... he's usually standing there somewhere.
  • foxy · 1 year ago
Isn't he related to Joe the Plumber?
  • skullsinthestars · 1 year ago
If we don't get to 60 seats in the Senate, we hardly need him, right? Dump his ass.
  • okojo · 1 year ago
You need every seat for the Senate Majority leader, especially on procedural issues. The Senate cannot bulldozed legislation right through as the House can do. I guess the analogy that the House legislative process is like an Orthopedic Surgeon, while the Senate is more like a neurosurgeon.

At first, I thought there could be some middle ground to keep Lieberman in the Caucus, even after all the crap that Lieberman has said about Obama and the Democrats. However, I think Lieberman will use his Chair as more of the same of leverage with the Obama Administration, and give more weight to former Chairwoman Susan Collins and other Republicans as their own clubhouse to lob red herrings, or give the Wingnuts tidbits to feed to their noise machine.

i think it is time to dump Lieberman to save the Obama Administration some headaches and stamp out some wildfires from Lieberman chaired hearings.

Can the good folks in CT do a recall on his dumb-ass?
  • MyVoice · 1 year ago
In 4 years we can help CT to elect a new member in the Senate. Right now we need to focus on the road ahead and help Obama get our change started. Internal fighting will only slow down the process. I am already thinking about 4 years from now and making sure that Obama gets the full time needed.

What a question ... of COURSE the Wimpocrats are -- once again -- going to wimp out. Why ? Because the Wimpocrats are WIMPS. Don't expect any strength from POS like Reid, Clinton, Schumer, et. al. ... in any case, they're all confused what to do, since they will no longer have GWB to TELL them what to do, after January 20, but maybe Mitch McConnell will fill the gap ? In any case, they will likely need new kneepads for the next session of Congress.

THis election took place Hours Ago. If you do't want to see this country change for the better, keep up your talk. DO SOMETHING. If you know what needs said, say it constrctively. If you know what needs done, tell your rep. Don't just post here------roll up your sleeves: take initiative: start your movement: I'm not sure GWB of the Katherine Harris Victory crowd told anyone what to do, but we sure as Hell can tell the people WE elected what to do. Naive? Maybe. But I WIl No Longer Sit Aside and Be an Ornament

It seems to me (this sounds like a Joe the Plumber statement) that too many Dems still retain a very friendly relationship with Lieberman. While I think he should be removed from any committee chair positions I don't see that happening. For whatever reasons, the Dems still treat him with respect, a respect he doesn't deserve.

We made fun of Zell Miller, what I ask, is the difference between Zell Miller and Joe LIeberman---nothing.

When Zell defected, he retired from his seat because he knew he was going to get an ass-whipping from the Senate Leadership at that time - yeah, even I think Tom Daschle would have gotten off his ass and punked Lieberman, but Harry Reid is worse and I think he should be challenged for his Senate Majority Leadership by a Senator who would not take this shyt from Lieberman at all.

    Chris Dodd Comes to Mind.

joe lieberman still thinks Obama is unelectable.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Remove him from his position. He thinks Republican, and will side with the right on important issues. There's no benefit in thinking he will ever vote differently.

It sounds like Lieberman is burning the bridge first, before his meeting with Reid.

At first, I had second thoughts of kicking Lieberman out of the caucus, because in the Senate, one has to play nice in order to get anything done. (I was thinking of how Lincoln Chafee was treated in the Republican Caucus)

However, I am getting memories of Al D'Amato and his idiotic sub committee hearings on Whitewater. I think even though the Dems need Lieberman on many important issues like AGW, he is going to cause a huge amount of embarrassment besides pressure from the Republican to investigate the Obama Administration if he still is in the Democratc Caucus.

I think Lieberman is going to leave the caucus and join the Republican Caucus before Reid tells him to leave the Democratic Caucus. I wouldn't be surprise that the Obama Administration tells Senator Reid, (no longer Senator Majority Leader, but Administration Water Carrier) to get rid of Lieberman.

By the Way, Senator Lieberman, nice job in keeping Connecticut in the McCain Column!!!! (I sort of measure a politician's strength in how much influence they have on their state in the Presidential election)

The Dems need to kick this putz to the curb. Nice work Connecticut <snark>. You should be hanging your collective heads in shame.
  • Rufus · 1 year ago
Regardless of the Demo/Repub vote tally, kick his ass over the fence to the Republicans and let's be done with him. Didn't you love his standing behind McCain with that smirk on his face? No? Neither did I. Trash him, no mercy.

Joe Leiberman should get the treatment the democrats would not lay on Bush. Kick his ass into a corner, welcome him to join the opposition and ignore him. Begin working now on defeating him in the next senatorial race. The Connecticut voters need a strong taste of the truth, the disgraceful bastards.

    Why does Lieberman hate America?

I will be using that line a lot with Republicans and others like Lieberman who take a negative and bitter attitude in the coming days ahead.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
Lieberman is without value to anyone and ought to be on his own island of traitors who stand for nothing. From what soil does this creature come?
  • paulbe · 1 year ago
Maybe Joe will have to return to Israel to commiserate with his Likud buddies. Israel's long unfulfilled lust war on Iran just may have to wait another four years.
