I even heard Billy Graham use that expression once......saying you can bring a pig in the house , put lipstick on it, dress it all up....and soon as you open the door....the pig goes straight back to the mud.

Sarah Palin's claiming per diem for staying in her own home was no big deal. It came from OIL revenues that Alaska collects from those of us in the Lower-48 who purchase oil.

There are a lot of things being said on both sides, but... I would have to see the tape of John McCain making a "rape joke", before I can believe it. The June 2008 report was that McCain cancelled a fundraiser with Clayton Williams. Clayton Williams is the person who compared rape to bad weather, in 1986. The McCain comments about Chelsea were cruel and should never have been made.

I agree that McCain is despicable and should apologize to all women for his consistently inappropriate remarks about them in general. However, John, coming from you it sounds a bit hypocritical, since you were far more vitriolic toward Hillary during the primary than McCain has ever been.

Just because John McCain added a vagina to his ticket does not mean that he or Sarah Palin CARE ABOUT YOURS, ladies. Don't get it twisted - what we're seeing is the worst pandering to the wingnuts and its being aided and abetted by the supposed bastions of the fourth estate, who have since abandoned their responsibility as gatekeepers to the likes of the blogsphere and the National Enquirer, since we're the ones doing actual research and investigation of both of them, and the likes of David Gregory, George Stephanopoulos, and Tom Brokaw continue to dishonor their profession as journalists by giving McCain and Palin free passes.
I honestly thought the media would be upset at having virtually no access to Palin, but just as they did under the Bush Administration, they are more concerned about access and privileges on the Beltway Cocktail weenie circuit.
Even the late Tim Russert would probably have raised more hell about being denied access to Palin than everyone in the media are doing at present.
