    Go Rachel!
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
    I LOVE Rachel!
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann are the only reasons why I watch cable news... PERIOD!
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    Love that woman!
You can always tell when a talk-news show panelist draws some blood from McCain, the pro-McCain guests try to interrupt---at the beginning, middle and end of every word. Rachel has gotten better and better at raising her voice and making her points over the static.
  • MikeinSanJo · 1 year ago
    RACHEL ROCKS!!!

I would LOVE to see her sit down face-to-face with McCain.

SHE won't fellate him the way the rest of the "Liberal Media" does!
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
kkkarl wouldn't let that happen... she'd have mcsame screaming at her inside five minutes.

that'd be the end of THAT presidental candidate mistake.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    nice...

I would've loved to hear their responses to Rachel though.

it sounded like they were about to cut to commercial, thereby effectively ending that discussion... they probably changed the subject back to something else about Obama when they came back.

is there a longer section of that video we can see?
  • Grimmlok · 1 year ago
I love how the other talking heads were trying to poopoo her.. and that one idiot who said "oh they're not the same"

are you f#cking kidding? Not the same?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
I'd have loved to hear her say "but what exactly do we know about john mccain? if you examine his voting records... he flip-flopped on ALL issues he voted on until 2004... he's said himself that he voted with bush on 95% of his votes... how does that make him a maverick? what exactly does HE stand for? and now he's trying to distance himself from bush? how does that work as 'we know who john mccain is'?"

O/T I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, but here's the old article about the Hillary Clinton sipporter who owns the National Enquirer. Can't help but believe that the Clintons and friends were responsible for following Edwards around and ruining his life. When Edwards came out for Obama; his political career was over. The Clintons never forget.

  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
actually, I'd tend to agree with you on this (for once?)...

considering CNN.com is running a story now with one of Hillary's top advisors saying "if this had come out BEFORE, Hillary would've won the Democratic nomination."

I think that article is trying to distance Hillary from any blame.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Yeah, and it does make me wonder what, if anything, the FOB (friends of Bill) have in store for Obama.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
At least early on, it was to Hillary's advantage, in my opinion, to keep Edwards in the campaign because many believed that the Edwards vote would go to Obama.

Message to InBev: If Cindy can't keep track of how many houses she owns, should she really head up one of your beer distributorships? She sounds like Bob Newhart explaining why he was a rotten accountant: "I figured if I got within three or four bucks of it, I'd done my job."
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
The last time Cindy saw her kitchen was when she was thumbing threw an old Architectural Digest.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
heh... lets see some more of those cookie recipes.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Sometimes I wish I could forget about the house I own. Especially when it's time for a new roof. That's about 40 pair of loafers.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
hey... look on the bright side... if you bought cheaper loafers, it'd be more like 520 pair.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Thank God we have people like Rachel Maddow, who takes no prisoner's, during debates. I can't imagine any other "Democratic Strategist" who wouldn't have just sat there, and said something innane like, "Well, Cindy McCain DOES have a pretty smile..." I'm sick of our party not shoving it right back like Maddow does. She is one of the most efffective progressive debators on cable news, and the only thing she really does is TELL THE HARD FACTS that the Republicans then have to swallow. Go Rachel!
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I want some Republican Strategists to explain why the misplaced focus on Iraq has helped us contain Russia's move against Georgia!
  • Chris From Maine · 1 year ago
McCain is also married to a beer heiress and is a millionaire many times over.

He is an elitist.. and he is a bigger celebrity then Obama ever was. How many times has McCain been on SNL and how many times has he actually HOSTED?
  • Webster · 1 year ago
I love Rachel. I love, love, love Rachel. Instant Nirvana would be hiring her to take Katie Lightweight Couric's place.

    I can dream, can't I?!
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Wish she was straight. What a waste.
  • PhilipGraham · 1 year ago
Rachel Maddow for President. Seriously. The woman seriously kicks ass.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I can believe it, but WHAT HYPOCRISY for the traditional media to begin to THINK they can criticize Obama for taking a vacation! We have the MOST VACATIONED President in U.S. History and not WORD ONE about how he is always kicking back having a good time. Where is the criticism, and comparison of vacation of Republican President George W. Bush? crickets...
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I have to admit, though, I'm not real pleased with any "down time" for our candidate considering Kerry's down time haunted him throughout the election!
  • PhilipGraham · 1 year ago
I agree with your earlier comment--Olbermann and Maddow, the only sane people on the news
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
In a previous thread, someone said that Bush has probably vacationed 500 days in his 8 years in office. I've heard it was about half of his 8 years in office, that is 8 times, 2,848 days in office or round off to 1,400 days of vacation. He takes off the entire month of August every summer, that is 31 days times 8 (including this year), 248 days, plus he seems to take about a week every month to go down to Crawford or 7 times 12 times 8 years or 672 days. And then he also goes of very frequently to Camp David. Plus he works out for 4 hours in the White House gym every morning and frequently goes out to mountain bike ride. Also goes to bed every evening at 9:00 am. And enjoys three squre meals a day. He's the biggest goof off I've ever heard to to hold any sort of real job. Maybe Beatle Bailey is a bigger goof off.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Not to mention Bu$h always BITCHES when he has to work or hold a press conference. He is always harping about how he wants to get back to "mountain biking" or "lunch."
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
he is up to roughly 520 days of vacation in the past 8 years. I heard Keith O. say so last week or so. I was thinking..."WTF?! that is like a year and

I see being a C student with rich parents pays off.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
I don't get bad vibes from Cindy. Or Paris, either. Cindy should have told John not to do that but she just doesn't know to say anything.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Just curious GG, what kind of vibes do you get from Gov Crist of Florida?
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
I wear the high end $19.99 flip-flops from Target.
  • slappymagoo · 1 year ago
Never mention "flip-flops" on Americablog. Unless you're talking about McCain. Which are much more expensive than 20 dollars, and we're ALL paying for 'em.
  • slappymagoo · 1 year ago
*sigh* Rachel Maddow = typical Democrat. SO shrill.

Joking, of course, as far as I'm concerned, if McCain can't stop trying to demonize every facet of Obama's life, then all those skeletons in his closet are fair game, and like Maddow (and all of you I'm sure) I'm amazed at how much of McCain's life is considered hands off by the very same people who try to frame every negligible facet of Obama's life as an election-changer.
  • hardeknox · 1 year ago
Don't these houses belong to Cindy, as it was her money? Shouldn't we call him McKept?
  • Upland_Oddball · 1 year ago
When the issue of McCain's personal wealth first came up, about two months agfo over the teeny matter of an unpaid tax bill, I heard that John and Cindy owned a total of THIRTEEN homes. What was most notable to me was that a good number of these homes where on adjacent lots or on the same lot, and that frequently, when occupied, Cindy will reside in one, and John in the other. Separate homes is quite a step up from separate beds. Must be for Cindy''a protection!
  • jr · 1 year ago
the media spent 30 years building up this fake maverick image of McCain and they won't let anything bad about him in the public sphere because they don't want their shitty careers to be in vain
  • DoctorJ · 1 year ago
Go Rachel! Thank god for her. She's the best thing we have going on TV.

OK, Obama surrogates, run with it: "How many people know John McCain has 9 houses? Or is it 10?" That should also be an ad.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
I love you Rachel. If I wasn't straight, I'd kiss you!
  • lark83 · 1 year ago
Rachel Rocks! They'll never let her on Fox. Only lame Democrats like Susan Estrich get to be on Fox.
