AMERICAblog: John McCain on George Bush: "I did everything I could to get him elected and re-elected"

  • Indigo · 1 year ago
    "You don't understand."

Of course, we can't understand because McCain is locked inside his PTSD imagination, telling stories about his life that only he knows, only he understands. It's a mental health issue.

Admitedly, we have to find a way to say so that doesn't outrage his Fundie Fans. I like FDR's expression, "Let's look at the facts."

He doesn't understand that Bush policy = FAILURE.

    Dear John just doesn't understand.

Willful ignorance of facts or cognitive decline? It doesn't matter. NOT what America needs.

    Senatorial cognitive deficit disorder.

    "Miss Congeniality" ???

they kicked him out of the "Talent Competition" eight years ago.

    he's been doing makeup since.

Obama missed the opportunity to respond to McCain's Miss Congeniality remark with, no John, that's your vice president.

and we would have been hearing about it for the next five weeks.

As I noted, I initially believed you shared that goal. But I understand how important the opportunity to lead your party's effort to exploit this issue must seem to a freshman Senator, and I hold no hard feelings over your earlier disingenuousness. Again, I have been around long enough to appreciate that in politics the public interest isn't always a priority for every one of us. Good luck to you, Senator.

Remember that from 2006? The link has all three letters.

I've said it before, that is the creepiest laugh/sneer when he talks about re-electing Bush.
  • Jump to the Left · 1 year ago
It's creepy because that's the moment he sold his soul.

McCain is right: he was never voted "Miss Congeniality" in the Senate. But he WAS voted Miss Dickhead. Perennially.

Ah, I understand now! That's why Palin is on the ticket--she was elected Miss Congeniality (Miss Alaska Pageant 1984).

What a creepy, smarmy, boot-licking, ass-kissing, almost psychopathic voice, expression, and laugh in the last few seconds. Almost Peter Lorre-ish in delivery.
Those few seconds say it all about John McCain and his "honor" and "integrity".

Does anyone notice that McCain has completely given up on wearing his flag pin? He must be harkening back to the days before he was a pow, before he really loved his country.

Matthews: Is McCain too much like a troll? Video Link..

Matthews: "Who do you want to listen to for 4-8 years? It really is part of how we look at these things. Let's start with John McCain. Do you think he was to troll-like, tonight? You know, too much of a troll? Seriously, do people want to put up with four years of that, of sitting there angrily, grumpily...like a codger?

I don't want to push you too far, but didn't he seem really contemptuous of his opponent?"

After much laughter, Howard responds, "He did..."

Matthews: "You want to put up with four years of that?"

Howard: "He hates Obama...Maybe when Obama's not on stage we won't have to put up with that."

"Excuse me," interrupts Matthews, "that's what he thinks of the press. Is every press conference going to be like that? Troll-like performance, angry at the world?"

Tweety is TOO MUCH! (He'll no doubt face a Steve Schimdt/Nicolle Wallace shitstorm for this).

"John McCain on George Bush: "I did everything I could to get him elected and re-elected"

That's a scary admission, since both elections were fixed. Now we will really vote for you John.
