AMERICAblog: John McCain on his unparalleled devotion to George Bush

  • WDemDem · 1 year ago
Needs to be on the teevee. How about airing it during the GOP convention? Over and over and over.
  • barkleyg · 1 year ago
Seems pretty simple to me, but I live in the real world.

Whoever made this gem should tag on, at the very end, the clip of Bush fumbling the line, "Fool me once, shame on me, you, uh, etc."
That would be the perfect ending. Do it Obama camp!

Obama Biden: One house. One wife. One choice for America.

    I like the Spouse version.
Obama Biden: One house. One Spouse. One choice for America.

Wonder how many houses and spouses McCain's VP will have?
  • RobertSeattle · 1 year ago
To paraphrase, we'll quit showing video's of John McCain talking when they stop telling lies about Obama.

Isn't it funny how Macain is talking about George W Bush? I sure didn't hear much about Bush last night at the Dem Convention.

Aside from Macain's housing gaffe, I am wondering when the dems are going to grow a spine and start holding Macain and his party accountable about how they ruined this country.

All this talk about party unity. People only unify if there is a common enemy and the dems have yet to define the enemy.

THE DNC should show this commercial in prime time this week at the Convention when the audience is wathcing at hoems accross america - Lets them see in Maccains own words how married he is to W.
  • johnt66 · 1 year ago
Damn right, they should show it right at the end, because Monday drew 22 million viewers WOW and that was just for Mrs. Obama.

Why aren't we seeing this ad play on national TV? Time to get punching and use McCain's own words to kick back.

SouthernYankee: I urge you to keep the faith. The Obama campaign is a very effective organization and I fully expect them to start taking McSame apart in the very near ffuture. Keep the faith and don't get too anxious. They had a less well known candidate who stands for above-board politics and hence had to give the Republicans enough rope to hang themselves. The ropes will come out after the convention. Just watch Joe Biden take them apart and other surrogates will be unleashed.

I know you are right. Can't help it. Listen I got on the Democratic Underground blog. There was this guy that was talking with a guy who is a republican working for the Bush administration staff. He calls himself Shallow Throat. It was interesting. He said that Obama is going to win. The 2 things he said that will do it was take the gloves off and fight back and make sure we get the vote out. Over the top votes for democrats will do it because Rove and steal it election than. He said that he could live with a President Obama but he isn't an extremtist that wants war after war. Lots of republicans will be sending money to his camp. He said that McCain is nuts and has a very bad temper. So I do think we will win. What am afraid of is that they will steal the election again.

I see a Big oh oh with the commercial. 2 2003 quotes & 1 2005 quote. No later, more current quotes? Today quotes are much truer and harsher than 3-5 year old quotes.

Those who have not yet logged onto the POLITICO site comments are in for the most revolting excuse for a site filled with the rantings of lunatics. I can't believe that these Republicans have fallen that far due to their desperation. Check it out if you can stomach the ultimate in political filth.

I agree that this stuff needs to be on the TV - web ads are fine, but they tend to be preaching to the choir.

And what about the tender embrace? You remember: The one after (I think) the State of the Union address where John and George hugged. Why isn't that footage out there?

McCain and Bush gave each other promise rings
  • johnt66 · 1 year ago
Boy I love John McCain because we don't have to pay for attack ads, McCain is doing it for us, this ad should be playing nation wide, come on this is one of the greatest ad ever.

The Obama campaign, and for that matter the American media, should examine McCain’s 5 1/2 years as a POW and how that would affect his fitness to make Presidential decisions. As a retired forensic psychiatric physician, I can tell you he almost certainly has symptoms of a chronic post-traumatic stress disorder which, in specific circumstances, could lead him to make impaired decisions, and that there is no conceivable way he could not still harbor residual reflexive tendencies to act out in ways which may not display well thought out and logical judgment. Contrary to the way it has been handled in the media, his POW experience, while certainly unfortunate and sympathetic, is NOT a good qualification for a President to have had! Would you think a child who had experienced 5 1/2 years of serious molestation would be better prepared to be a parent or spouse because of that experience? I think not.
And, since when, is getting yourself shot down and captured a laudable accomplishment? Did McCain not do something which might have avoided his being shot down and captured?
Much more noteworthy than McCain being out of touch with economic issues and not remembering how many houses he has are the definite signs he is displaying of incipient dementia, like when Leiberman had to correct his senior moment about Al Qaida. Imagine what another four years would do to his failing memory! He will be like his idol, Reagan, at least with displaying Alzheimer's.
Finally, is McCain Constitutionally qualified to be President if he was not born in the United States? Why was Alexander Hamilton not permitted to run for President? How about Arnold Schwarzenegger's ineligibility?
