AMERICAblog: John McCain was against the 100 year commitment in Iraq before he was for it

  • jimpharo · 1 year ago
"Or maybe McCain just forgot what his position on Iraq was. That's not out of the question either."

One should also consider that he's just not that interested in the question. He's probably quite keen on which kewl kid called and offered what. He's probably pretty "into" meeting with various fatcats and accepting their millions.

THAT, my friends, is what George W McCain thinks his job is. Figuring out America's foreign policy is something he'll figure out on the fly next time he's on Imus.

OT (and I apoligize but I am furious)

My god, would someone PLEASE tell Mrs Alan Greenspan (aka Andrea Mitchell) to quit pushing for Clinton. It is getting way out of hand. George Miller (D-CA) is not letting her get away with anything. Going forward notice this, when the interviewer, in this case Mitchell, seems to be getting smacked MSNBC will remove the speaker's name and place a banner under the speaker.thereby making him/her a nameless voice. Today for instance George Millers name was removed and the banner showing Hillary and Obama running neck and neck nationally. Just disgusting/

Right on aquarius2: It's not just Mrs Greenspan pushing Clinton either. All day on Monday, MSNBC's daytime batch of harpies kept the Wright pot on the boil as if there was nothing else to talk about. Why not Hil's lies and racism; why not ther pass the press continues to give Insane?
    DISGUSTING is right!
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Aquarius,
It isn't merely MSNBC that is doing "funny" tricks like that. Unfortunately all cable networks are guilty of such trash. Oh yes, and let's add many network news shows as well.

I use to watch THIS WEEK with Georgie boy (NO more), MEET THE PRESS (NEVER again), FACE THE NATION (YEAH right) and even WOLF BLITZER (Sometimes I do watch him) and they ALL pander so far to the right that I can not bear watching them anymore.

I find I get more accurate news by reading papers, the net and watching some news shows that can be checked later. SAD, sad, sad state our media today...

McChange was just on Matthews' show a couple of weeks ago. Stupid question: did Matthews question McChange on the flip-flop?
Maybe Tweety was having a thrill run up his leg.

I think John McSame is having another SENIOR MOMENT. Count on more of the same this year!

In 1986 Dan Harrison was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University .

On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Dan approached it very carefully.

He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it.

As carefully and as gently as he could, Dan worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot.

The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments.

Dan stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away.

Dan never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Dan was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son.

As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Dan and his son Dan Jr. were standing.

The large bull elephant stared at Dan, lifted its front foot off the ground, and then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Dan couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant.

Dan summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Dan's legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.

    Probably wasn't the same elephant.

Moral to the story: Never trust the GOP!

    Busboy,
    Aw shucks, you remembered...

Tell me, do you really find actual news there or is it more like a junior high school's girl locker room after gym?

    OT (again)

Okay I am still more than furious with Mitchell and I can now say with certainty why she is pushing Clinton---they are botox and face lift buddies. Mitchell is 62 years old and I guarantee, it isn't genes that make her look half that age
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
McCain is getting such a free ride in the press because we are too busy fighting each other to get a nominee.

    Busboy,
I think Obama HAS to address this issue, otherwise it will hurt him even worse than it seemingly has already.

Oh my god, I have got to turn off the TV. Clinton is saying she will put a tax on big oil to pay for money lost (I hope I would live long enough to see big oil be taxed hello, how long was she in Congress), she is going to close the Enron "loophole" (for god's sake she was in Congress and did nothing) and more yakkity yak.

Someone, anyone needs to ask her WHY if she has been in Congress for 8 years has she not taken the initiative to fix all these "wrongs". Someone needs to ask her WHY it is important to her NOW (even a moron could answer this)

Oh I am rapidly forgetting sensible words and going for the four letter ones. Disqus is acting nuts again

Sorry about the triple (F**king) posts
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Aquarius,

I think you're having posting issues?
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    BREAKING!
Obama is having a Press conference right now!
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
    Polly

LOL LOL issues is the word and Disqus isn't helping. First Bush, then Hillary and now Obama.

    Busboy

Jealous? No but annoyed enough with someone to make personal comments, yes. I usually hate when comments are taken to a personal level, but today was over the top with Mitchell pushing Clinton.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Obama is denouncing Rev Wright. Okay, fine and dandy BUT he needs to be addressing Hillary's GD comments a few minutes ago where she presented herself as the Messiah of energy issues
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Never been in the girls locker room, But Drugereport is just basically a news clearinghouse which posts articles from around the world. However, the O'Reilly Factor appearance by Hillary is an exclusive.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
If Obama is going to have a presser on Jeremiah Wright; then he must have some internal polling data which indicates how bad it's killing his campaign. A bad presser could turn into a disaster for Obama.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
OK, Polly, let's meet in the junior highschool girl's locker room and talk it over...;).....

Maybe it's because Tweety's thinking about running for Arlen Specter's senate seat in PA that's caused Chris to moderate his tone towards Republicans lately. He'll need crossover votes to win:
