AMERICAblog: John McCain's got more campaign finance scandals brewing: Where's he really getting his money?

  • DCinDC · 1 year ago
    Fraud! Corruption!
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
As I recall, the FEC can't touch it because they don't have a quorum. If the rules can't be enforced, then there are no rules this campaign season.

And I would bet this gives you "sweater tents", doesn't it?

Soooo, let's see. The Washington Post has some kind of working agreement with MSNBC, right? They contribute stories. I wonder how long we'll have to wait until we'll see this particular story on their web site or on their network. I wonder if more investigation is in the offing -- that's what reporters used to do, BB (before bar-b-que). I wonder when hell will freeze over.

Anyone remember Vicki Iseman? Anyone in the media going to look into that?
  • EmGD · 1 year ago
Honest John is not responsible for anything related to his campaign, get it straight. Also it's not weird for a Hess employee and her husband who rent their home in a median income area of $58,069 to give $57,000 to the RNC McCain fund while also maxing out individual contributions of $2,300 to St. John. It's just your deluded liberal conspiracies to impugn the credibility of a war hero and by extension the troops.

Call me crazy, but McCain sold his soul to the devil, and now Bush/Cheney/Rove own him. Notice how all his personal beliefs have rotated 360 degrees? I know in my bones, that they are financing McCain. I'm just completely paranoid that the actual price for the Presidency is Jeb Bush for Veep. With that wrinkley, white haired old dude, he could check out the first few months of his first term. Not a bad investment to keep a Bush in the White House. Also, don't forget how much dirt and filth the Bush group needs to keep buried!
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
It would be great to see Bush as VP...you would see supporters fleeing like rats.
  • Aanya · 1 year ago
I wish I had your confidence in the rethug's reaction to Jeb Bush! I can't understand how they could have kept Bush in office for 2 terms. They are all a pack of brainwashed, nimrods, who have to tune into Fox News to get their own talking points! It's like half the US population was snatched away and replaced by these empty headed pods!

Jeb Bush as VP candidate with Senator Geezer would be a gift from heaven. Maybe Democrats are inept enough to do something that stupid but the GOP is eons ahead of our guys in campaign strategy.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    McCain is sooooo Bushian.

Has no idea what the hell's going on, every one of his staff members has their own agenda.

I can't imagine this clown running an ice cream shop much less the country.
  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
And isn't it funny that the John McCain campaign releases statements that say John McCain doesn't speak for the campaign.

    :)
  • Gorgonzola · 1 year ago
Right on Ben. If Baraks spokesman said something that inane, it would be a bigger issue for the MSM than the Rev Wright BS.
  • JMOHR · 1 year ago
See, this is where the Democratic party will flub. The Republican noise machine would be spreading this to every member who would cause it to reverberate on every news and talk show. The MSN would then play it up not only because it is in their slavish corporate interest but also because it just has too much play not to be aired. The Democrats will sit back without a coordinated message and then whine when the story does not take off. I am sorry, but we have to adapt our tactics.
  • JMOHR · 1 year ago
OK, my apology for the duplicate posts. The computer froze up I was just trying to move on.

Did anyone else notice that the samples noted by the WaPo all included Islamic names?
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
And so it goes....as with the current administration, McCain (whose decent into senility is obvious), his policies, and his campaign will receive no scrutiny what-so-ever. Bush - oh, I mean McCain can say and do anything without repercussion.
  • jr · 1 year ago
the Ap will still bring McCain donuts and coffee when he's in prison
  • Gorgonzola · 1 year ago
Explain this one. McCain comes back from Vietnam, sees his wife disfigured from an auto accident and dumps her like a load of manure. Next, he shacks up with the beer baroness till the divorce is final and than marries the cadaverous beer queen, The MSM keeps this a bigger secret than the formula for weaponizing anthrax. I saw Clarice (David) Brooks last night describing Senator Geezer as the "Character" candidate.
  • ARP · 1 year ago
Ugh. When will we learn. Republicans have known this secret for years...you can't un-do an election. So, why not cheat, lie, steal, misrepresent, supress, etc.? It doesn't matter if the law is broken because they've already won.

As long as it isn't tied back directly to McCain, the worst that happens is some underling goes to prision for a few years, gets out, and gets a cushy job at a think tank in exchange for taking one for the team.

Bush has shut down the FEC by not giving them enough members and courts move too slow (with appeals) to have any real impact.

We need this to go front and center. McCain is winning the "Character" war when he should not be.

Can't get money honestly, can't keep promises for a respectful campaign ( http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/08/0... ), surrounded himself with Rovian politics, needs a dictionary to understand the term "Straight Talk", breaks laws willingly, forgetful, psychotic temper...endemic qualities for a bad President.

    This is clearly FRAUD.

    This part betrays The FRAUD:

"Some of the most prolific givers in Sargeant's network live in modest homes in Southern California's Inland Empire. Most had never given a political contribution before being contacted by Sargeant or his associates. Most said they have never voiced much interest in politics. And in several instances, they had never registered to vote. And yet, records show, some families have ponied up as much as $18,400 for various candidates between December and March."

So now the GOP is using SoCal Inland Empire Trailer-Trash as cover----Folks who can't afford to fill up their own SUV with gas at this point, but they're giving $2k contributions
to Mr & Mrs BEER-FEST Of Arizona.

    Yup.

    Sure they are.

These are crimes, plain & simple.

    But...

    IOKIYAR

The crimes of the Bush/Cheney regime are giving way to those of McSame. How can any clear thinking voter even consider McSame? MORE PAIN !!! VOTE Mc CAIN !!!!

VICKI ISEMAN would only be important if she were having an affair with a Democrat like Gary Condit.

In that case, her complete disappearance and likely murder might actually have some significance.

But her death does not matter because:

Ok, so we know it's shady! What do we do about it. Do we just write about it and go home and stand on a hill and piss in the wind, or do we do something about it?
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
The McCain campaign has been a disaster as would be his presidency if he were ever able to be elected. The skeletons of his campaign are now overflowing and soon will be consolidated for exposure. MORE PAIN Mc CAIN must soon be exposed.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
Where is Vicki? Why isn't the Enquirer seeking her and leave the John Edward's trail for a while? The corporate consolidation of the MSM has been a curse for this country and the coverage of this campaign proves it beyond any doubt.
