I'm not one for emotional outbursts especially concerning anything politic, BUT last night was simply marvelous!

I haven't smiled like that in far too long...and man did the big O make me proud! Heck, even Bill Kristol and Pat Buchanan LOVED the speech. LOL, who knew!

Yes, it does have a good feeling about it this time, BUT we have to realize that the REpukes are desperate this time. IF the Dems get the White House now, we just might be able to investigate all of the illegal doings that Bush/Cheney/Rove have done and they don't want that.

I think they will do just about anything to keep control this time. If they get 4 more, they will be able to finally bury the evidence and keep the masters of evil safe and sound.

Makes my stomach turn, but in the meantime, let us all celebrate! It's been a long time since I have felt this good about the candidate.

Shame! Shame! As the good guys, we shouldn't be wishing such a disaster on anyone for political benefit. I hope that Gustav does no more damage than bring much needed rain to that drought strickened part of the nation, refill their lakes and reservoirs. God be with the good people of New Orleans, many of whom would vote for Obama if they survive. The number who died in Katrina and Rita was put at 1,300, but then increased to 1,500, and now, I hear it is 1,700. Are you hoping for the Bush administration to murder another 1,700 Americans so that Obama can win? Obama is better than this and doesn't wish his victory at such a cost. Bush and McCain are despicable, vile and serial and mass murderers, but we don't need to wish for more dead Americans or Iraq to make that point.

One final thought. John McCain sent his wife to Georgia. Obama should send his running mate to New Orleans. The contrast between McCain's focus on war and Obama's focus on America couldn't be more stark.

Bush said he couldn't think of a single mistake he has made during his Presidency. Why would he miss the convention in order to be more hands-on when the storm hits?

I though that waiting a week was something he is proud of.

Heck, the Repub's were 10 million SHORT for this convention and had to do all sorts of antics to get the money. Canceling events like this is VERY expensive, so how the heck can they do it? Frankly, I think it's all bologna so that the press gives more attention to them and away from Obama.

Yes, we allowed the Republicans to pray for a deluge against us knowing our God would come through for us. God answered their prayer. He is sending a DELUGE for their convention. Since God isn't political when Republicans prayed for rain of Biblical Proporations, He thought, "Wow, I guess I'll just have to send another Katrina!" for the convention. God, isn't political so He figured it wouldn't matter which convention He sent it for, so He just selected it for the convention for the people praying. This is a prime example of how praying AGAINST people backfires! bwah hahahaaa! Yes, this is ironic satire folks... but isn't it just GREAT? FOCUS ON THE FAMILY needs to get messages thanking them for all their prayers for a natural disaster. This proves just how "patriotic" most Christian groups are. They could care less about their fellow Americans as long as they get their fascist way. Imagine praying for ANY natural disaster in the WORLD to get your narrow little hateful agenda across? ITS THE REPUBLICAN WAY!

The word is John McCain has successfully kept the Vice Presidential pick secret because it is based ENTIRELY on politics, and they wanted to pick the one who might be the best ticket as an answer to the Democratic ticket. This is ANOTHER reason why I believe the TICKETS should be chosen at the same time. McCain was going to select Romney if Obama picked Hillary Clinton. Since Obama picked Biden, McCain decided to pick a woman to try to lure away woman voters. YES, they should HAVE to pick their running mates at the same time. Republicans don't do anything without considering the political ramifications.

If it's Palin, they're setting themselves up for attacks re: GOP corruption. Palin's been tainted by Stevens, et al - if they pick her it's a desperate attempt to pull in some of the disgruntled hillary supporters. So desperate that I think (hope) they'll see through it.
