I mean, if it wasn't for bush denying federal funding for levee repair, they probably wouldn't have collapsed along the lake.
so... a few questions come to mind what part of this had to do with us fags again?? why does hagee thing bush is God?? why hasn't god destroyed San Francisco, Key West, Ft. Lauderdale, Amsterdam, any of the countries that allow gays to marry... etc??
we have rights in other parts of the world... if our rights increase, or we become more accepted here, any freak storm is God's vengence for tolerating us??

OK I get that Hagee hates gay people but what kind of God would indiscriminately kill old folks, kids and others who had nothing to do with the parade? Doesn't sound like a merciful, loving or even a very smart God to me. Why would you worship that? To follow their twisted logic, why didn't God send some plague down on the priests who molested kids? Why don't Catholics get asked about tolerating child molestation in their churches?
Real Christians need to take their religion back from these despicable people.

Okay something absolutely sucks here and I think it is the ads causing a problem, Is there anyway to block the ads. I use Firefox and I think someone once said there is a way to do this. This is the second day that something is wrong with Disqus or the ads.

I hope Mr. Hagee is aware (asking too much?) that his lame-ass god is so incompetent that, when he hit New Orleans, he took out most neighborhoods except the gay ones. Really. Nearly every other demographic was hit: rich, poor, white, black, people of all faiths. The neighborhoods that are swamped with gay people were not at all swamped with water. Is the fire-god that Hagee worships such a bumbling fool as to fire such a wide shot and hit everything BUT his target? Seriously. Would you believe in the power of a god that couldn't hit a target with a flood?

Hagee is part of McCain's campaign to mollify potential evangelical voters who hate gays. He doesn't give a damn what people think who aren't going to vote for him anyway. And Wright doesn't hate whites or gays. His UCC church is affirming. In fact the UCC has had gay clergy since the 70's and supports gay marriage (although individual churches may not agree).

I don't think it is a Disqus problem, from what I can tell it is something to do with the blog ads. By the time the ads load I was getting a message that Disqus was timed out. I think the link connects but look, if you have the option, at the lower left bottom of your screen. Holy cripes, the number of "transferring data" messages that flash by is enormous. I have to clear my cookies eveyday because of this.

To those who say this is not a topic worthy of discussion: The MSM have made it a topic worthy of discussion by blasting Rev. Wright 24/7 and making one sentence in one sermon a more important issue than even Brittany's latest DUI. If there were a fairness doctrine (killed by Regan), they would be required to play Hagee 24/7 for the next month.
But of course Hagee's wacko theories are nonsense--think of all those folks in Mississippi whose houses and businesses were destroyed just so God could close down the gay parade--but the OT God always painted with a wide brush--killing all the babies and children in Sodom, for instance.
Quick Bible quiz: Why was Sodom destroyed? WRONG! Again, you can't believe everything the MSM and Rev. Hagee and the last couple of hundred years of Christian dogma tell you. But you can read the biblical account.

I've said this here before....if Hillary had one ounce of integrity...she would denounce the ad about Pastor Wright in N.C. Jeremiah Wright served our country for 6 years in the Marines and the Navy. The way he is being treated is despicable.

If they want to really hurt the GOP block, The 528's should be concentrating on Hagee's comments about the Catholic Church being a whore. (Yes, I know a lot of progressives might agree with him, but that's not important right now ;-)
Catholics are a big voting block, they are very touchy about their church, and they are about 50% Republican. They're also starting to realize that they have been played for suckers by the GOP for the last 30 years or so by the empty promises about abortion (Abortion will never be banned - it is too good of a voting mechansim for the GOP)
Focus on the Catholics, and get the Republican Catholics to defect, or at least stay home.

Even if this strictly meant (which it doesn't) that McCain were somehow guilty by association in the same way that Obama is perceived to be with his Rev's hateful, anti-American, and racist statements and posturings, so what? How many people who are either gay or support gay rights to the point where they are willing to allow this advocacy to shape their vote were likely to vote for McCain in any case? Indeed, given the widespread homophobia at large in the land, especially in those white blue-collar districts the Democrats need to win in November, publicizing this will probably rebound in McCain's favor. Sad but true.
