AMERICAblog: Karl Rove's crew limiting McCain's cell phone use and time he can hang with his pals in the press

  • im_nobody · 1 year ago
Keep ROVE out of jail??? How about keeping Bush/Cheney from being charged with treason? That's the more likely reason!
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
he was probably accidentally downloading expensive ring tones thinking he was calling Vicki.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
    HAHAHAHA! that is funny!

If he WAS looking for ringtones he would probably be perplexed as to why he could not find anything by the Andrew Sisters.

The lobotomy was a success, time to send in the animatronic people from Disney to complete the rove-bot.
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
And how many years ago was it that they took away McCain's car keys?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
I'm not sure they took them away... I think he lost them in a Motel 6 while having a bit of the rumpy-bumpy with cindy before they got married.

Who pulled babysitting duty this week; Lieberman or Graham?

Karl Rove will never serve time in jail. He's going to head the very long list of criminals that Bush is going to pardon before he leaves office.
  • TheOriginalLiz · 1 year ago
Rove has been dubya's Rasputin all along, why wouldn't he be McCain's?
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
Well, Bush was a mindless dolt, who could never have become president on his own accomplishments, because he had none. It took manipulative, crooked, people like Rove, to make him their puppet, and he danced to their dirty tune.
So why not a wrinkly, old, dude, like McCain? Without the support and the props, McCain like Bush, cannot stand on his own two feet.

McCain will be the continuation of the Bush saga.

is it just me, or do you think the mccain campaign is going to turn into a "Weekend at Bernie's" sequel?

maybe he's already dead and that's the reason for limiting his speaking engagements?

    would anyone notice?
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
do you think the mccain campaign is going to turn into a "Weekend at Bernie's" sequel?
    Hahahahahah!

With your permission, I'm gonna use that one.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
They need a third term to keep Karl Rove out of jail.
    ---

    Joe, you're kidding right?

ever hear of a pre-emptive pardon? if its suspected that rove will be indicted for anything, chimpy can pardon him before they even bring charges... he doesn't have to wait for an indictment to come down.

NOBODY is going to get charged with ANYTHING after chimpy is gone... unless the Hauge brings people up on war crimes charges.

Yes, that makes sense. McCain has been window-dressing all along, now it's openly admitted. Put him in a rocking-chair, let him "look" benign and grandfatherly. The facts no longer matter, he'll be in the Offal Office before the current pig moves out. It's an easy glide from now until the inauguration if they can keep the masquerade going. Chances are, the Bush/Rove crew can make it so, especially if, as I believe, the DNC is complicit.

The Rove hands are never far from Johnny the maverick hand puppet.
So what I still don't get is how a bigger structure and machine functions around the aging McCain waterwheel?
Haven't the conduct and finance of his own campaign clearly displayed Johnny's executive bobbles?
So what if he's more "controlled" when the overall impression is of a very elderly and oft befuddled man?
CNN ran a package that belied their stiff upper lip for Johnny by suggesting the VP pick could sway certain "supporters" in southwestern Ohio...Unsuggested? Those certain true conservatives are still not keen for Johnny* even though he’s the lone survivor of the GOP circular firing primaries…
The corporate media effort is and will be massive and relentless but it will also be stuffed with enough unintended humor and flights of absurdist lunacy to sabotage most manipulations…Like today’s yak that Bush used “tough language” with Putin over footage of the two hugging and back slapping…oye.

*Individual contributions to candidates throughout the primary season show very little $$$ support for McCain is SW Ohio

Rove always has his hands in everything. When you see McCain, you should see Rove.

I mean for gods sake.. he is telling McCain how often he can use his cell phone!
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
John McCain does not speak for the John McCain campaign.

John is grounded by the underlings who someday hope to be full-fledged Karl Roves.
Poor John can't remember who we are fighting, where the war is, etc. I wonder if they draw straws to see who is going to change his Depends or spoon tapioca pudding between his the lips of the creepy yellow-toothed grin of his.

This is actually kind of funny. Sad but funny. He is the best candidate they have so truth be damned..they are going to prop him up like they did Bush. Pay not attention to the man behind the curtain.

The funny thing is....back in 2000 when he was "The Maverick" I actually thought he was fairly decent fella for a republican. Now....not so much.
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
Who are they kidding John McCain does not know how to use a cellphone, if anything they should be showing McCain talking on his cellphone.

Karl Rove and his operatives need a reason why McCain is basically hiding from reporters and talking to a limited amount of people.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
true... I've never seen a cell phone with a circular dial. mccain would be stumped trying to find the holes to put his finger in.

If John McCain needs a baby sitter, why don't the rethugs just come up with an excuse and dump his wrinkled old ass? This is pathetic! If McCain still had any of his faculties left, he'd realize what a "kept" man he is! I don't see how anyone could have a lick of respect for him now, he's a major has-been! When it became known that Karl Rove was running McCain's campaign, and Nicole Devenish Wallace was herding the reporters, I knew McCain probably had a stroke and it's "weekend at Bernie's from now until November"!

As for Rove going to jail, dont hold your breath.

I'm expecting President Obama to say "we need to move to the future, not focus on the Bush administration and the past" and completely ignore the war crimes and countless other crimes committed by King Bush.

by the way, the new Democratic congress can and should start impeaching Bush even after hes gone. You can impeach a President even after hes out of office.

Rove found dead. Apparent coronary attack.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
cut that out I got all excited for a moment
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
"We're all Bozos on this press bus..!!!".

Rove, I guess with tongue in jowl, told CBS about Senator Obama's VP pick:

"I think he's going to make an intensely political choice, not a governing choice," Rove said.

    Talk about rich mordant laughter!!!
Go suck a fudge pop KKKarl.

When my grandfather had dimentia we had to hide the car keys--he was never so far gone that we had to hide the cell phone. He must be pretty bad off. Now my alcoholic grandfather, we wish someone would have taken the phone away. I can't tell you how many times I sat through his drunk calls as a kid wondering what the hell he was talking about. I say let McCain keep his cell--dimentia shouldn't be a reason to limit his communications with friends.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
they're trying to keep him from harassing lindsay lohan.
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
jc: my alcoholic uncle loves his cell phone. He lives in Ottawa, Canada and can get the local tavern to deliver his beer and Irish Whiskey. On the other hand if you call him he refuses to answer. Someone needs to give out McCain's number so we can all call and wish him well. My other uncle Herb is like McCain, has not a clue where the hell he is or what he is doing there. I told my wife the last time we visited he has a perfect existence there is nothing going on in his life outside of the current 40 seconds plus or minus 20. McCain needs to be in a rocker, enjoying whatever home he is in that day and not in the stress filled job as Commander in Chief. He may just attack Czechoslovakia or call up President Putty Poot.

Simple: He can't fumblemouth if it's shut. And he's been embarrassing himself daily with misstatements and lapses. So, we won't see any until the debates, when he'll be pitched hardballs for the first time.

I guess that Buffalo Chip Queen contest blunder was the last straw for Rove.
  • OneManComotion · 1 year ago
Keeping to your point, why should we trust a man that needs such coersion? But, even more to the point why should we accept a candidate that is controlled by the "present" poweres that be?
  • SouthernYankee · 1 year ago
Oh god. He needs a babysitter? What next nappies.
