People are afraid right now, and they are looking for someone who seems stable and trustworthy.
The more McCain goes for the Hail Sarahs, the more he looks unstable. Obama is an oasis for the voters this year. The more they see him, the more comforting he will be to them. This is as close as a lock as we can get.

I think this may be another Republican trick to get Obama to count the chickens before they hatch. And, my guess is Obama is buying into it, already having bought the chicken cookbooks and turning off the heater in the egg hatchery. Sigh! Hasn't he noticed that the weather is freezing and all the eggs are still eggs?

The only good thing I see out of this is that it could be the pulse of other Republican voters. If they start to believe that 'it's over', they may be less inclinded to make the effort to go out and vote. John McCain sure ain't exciting these people and if they start to feel like it's over, they might just stay at home. Still, I'm not getting too exciting about this admission. I'm still worried that we are gonna lose this election somehow, some way.
