    How desperate can McCain get?

Now, the MSM can spend the next week discussing "McCain's Proposal for A Nucular America."

They never seem to get the joke.

"The WSJ really nails McCain. They trot out a variety of euphemisms for 'inconsistent' or 'baffling' or 'incomprehensible' — the favorite journalistic phrase in this regard being 'defies easy categorization':"

The most absurd White House in American history is dissected by Dan Froomkin. He does a brief history of some other allegations issues the White House called absurd but proven to be ABSOLUTELY TRUE.

    From "motherjones.com:"

There's also the problem of getting the uranium--when that's dwindling the price will drive up the cost of nuclear power. Neevrmind.. details are such pesky things..

Campaign consultants doubtless deemed that too crunchy-granola for the GOP base,

I wish it were that innocent. My guess is the power industry bought his soul with promises of enough campaign funding. There is also that Iran is trying to construct nuclear reactors to provide energy for their nation, but Bush says that isn't good enough, that anything Iran has to do with nuclear energy is proof they are trying to build a bomb. Isn't he judging by the standards of his own behavior and that the real purpose behind Bush's pushing new nuclear power plants is to provide more fuel for more nuclear weapons. Nuclear power is 4 times the cost of the next most expensive source of producing electricity and that is without the insolvable problem of disposing extremely dangerous waste products. Yeah, they have solutions like burying it in a mountain that is part of Colorado River watershed and on top of that on what by treaty should be protected Indian land.

I'd like to propose three sites for nuclear waste disposal. One is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The second is residential compound in Martha's Vineyard and the third is on a ranch in Crawford Texas. Oops! Add a 4th, on a certain hideout in Paraguay.

Take note of the very recent rise in the value of the US Dollar and the very recent decline in the price of oil. Neither move has any technical or fundamental reason since none of the underlying situations has changed. WHY who could possibly be manipulating these markets? Who could possibly be manipulating the recent strength in the stock market? Why it could only be the same folks who have broken the laws and perverted every agency of the US Government. There is no end to this criminality to deceive by those who use their office of trust to create lies to fool the public again.
