AMERICAblog: Labor group: "It’s time for Senator Hillary Clinton to send her vaunted ‘chief strategist’ Mark Penn packing"

On a day when we remember the amazing memory of MLK, let's not forget the legacy of shame of the Clintonistas. During the 90's when Slick Willie almost bankrupt the economy, it hit low income African-Americans the hardest. When Bill was banging a barely legal intern inside the White House, Shillary was making up excuses for him. The African-American community will never forgive Billary for crafting negative racist ads and photo-shopping Obama's nose and skin color. Let's make sure on this sacred day that people don't forget the dishonor Shillary and her adulterous husband brought on the Democrat Party. Let's prevent them from trying to slime Barack with their racist bigotry.

Dear Mr. Penn, Apology accepted. Now go away. Very truly yours, an ALF-CIO-AFT retired member.
Obama does not have a paid lobbyist for a foreign country running his campaign. May be Hillary wants to add the Columbian's popular vote.

No doubt Billary will use the military plane blown up in Qatar to feed into more fear and push her war agenda in Iraq. I'm so sick of the Clinton lies. They are putting our courageous young men and women in danger overseas. Billary needs to drop out of the primary and quit ruining it for the Democrat Party. Her racist tactics are just too much!
Okay ... Hillary's campaign is official a train wreck.

U.S. B-1 bomber explodes on landing in Qatar: Jazeera Fri Apr 4, 2008 3:38pm EDT DUBAI (Reuters) - A U.S. B-1 bomber exploded while landing in a Qatari air base due to a technical fault on Friday, Qatar-based Al Jazeera television reported.
The television station did not say if anyone was hurt in the incident at the Al Udeid air base south of the Qatari capital Doha. It said earlier a B-52 plane had exploded.
A U.S. air force spokesman said he had no immediate report of such an incident and would check.
Al Udeid is used by U.S. forces in the Gulf Arab country, which hosted the advance headquarters of the U.S.-led forces in the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Never understood how some ever felt the Clintons were good on labor issues. Did Bill ever stop the Republicans from dismantling labor rights? Under his watch, our jobs went overseas, pensions were destroyed, and health care was gutted. Maybe that wasn't their agenda but they didn't have the fight in them to save us from the Neocons...they sure can fight for themselves now though.

This Mark Penn embarrassment has not been reported by the media yet. They seem to be sloth like in their reporting. Yawn. This is a big disgrace for Hillary. For her campaign to be run by Penn, whose connections are questionable, is unheard of. There is obvious conflict of interest, and I hope Hillary never becomes the Democratic nominee, because the Dems cannot afford to lose this election.

This could mean two things:
1. That Hillary is saying one thing, while double dealing through Penn.
Or,
2. That Penn doesn't think Hillary has a snowball's chance in hell of winning anymore, and he's moving on with other business.
Either way, USS Hillary is taking on water.

I'd like to see the story of the Clinton fund-raiser last year where donors could have break-out strategy sessions with key members of the defense appropriations committee. If I'm not mistaken, Sheila Jackson Lee was on hand. Seems to me they got a lot of defense contractors flipping open their wallets for that little "meet and greet". It went with little MSM notice. Now would be a good time to remind the remaining states a Hillary administration has always been for sale to the highest bidder, no matter what she says to the little folk.

This fits right in with NAFTA, CAFTA, and the other Clinton's continuation of the Reagan / Bush media deregulation schemes. The rise of monopolies under Reagan / Bush / Clinton / Bush should be seen as something of a pattern to anyone who actually pays attention (mindless trolls need not apply). The push to privatize everything under the sun in the last thirty years under all of the administrations has seen disasterous results to all but a slim handfull of people who make out like bandits. This new Robber Baron age needs to come to an end one way or the other. If our fellow disinterested, uninvolved Americans would pay attention it would end in a good way. However, I know too many of my fellows, and they are for the most part an ill informed, self righteous group prone to working against their own self interests, so I hold out little hope.

Why do Unions hate trade so much? Without trade, there could be no unions because there would be no jobs which would require workers to produce products.

Little known fact . . .
Unions did a lot of good for a lot of people before WW2. During WW2, they had to pull back because of the war. After the war, the corporatists passed the Taft-Hartley Act over the veto of Truman.
Taft-Hartley did a lot of bad things for labor, but the worst thing it did was -- in the era of anti-Communist hysteria -- was to force unions to purge all the real lefties.
This got rid of all the good organizers and true-blue union types and left a power vacuum, which was filled by the opportunists, many of them criminal, who saw money to be made. This is when unions began to decline, resulting in their murder at the hands of Ronnie Raygun and the fascists.

Unions don't hate trade, they hate unfair trade like NAFTA. Their real beef with Mark Penn has nothing to do with Colombia. It has to do with the fact that Penn has a history of union-busting activities and is a real scumbag.

Unions have changed a lot over the years. I remember the IAM (machinists) used to hang out with us New Leftists back in the day, but they're endorsing Clinton today. AFSCME was the same--it was a fairly new union at the time, and there were a couple who came out against the Vietnam War and such. The unions became almost corporate-like after those years and I suspect more than a few sweetheart deals were made to quiet the workers over the past 25 years.
Frankly, without the left, most unions are pretty tame affairs. I mean, have you seen the kind of union activity that occurred during the 30s? I doubt you will, either. Only around 12.9% of the workforce is organized, with govt workers being the highest % and the private sector, 9%.
$110 million? I want details...Bill is said to have made only $3 million in his Dubai deal, but I suspect most of what he really made is offshore in the Caymans...

Ok, Jed Report, we need a video that has the footage of the young Wal*Mart lawyer/shareholder touting union busters, Hillary praising NAFTA, Bill giving China preferred nation trading status and now this. She has always been anti-union. Those blue collar voters in PA, IN and NC need to understand if they vote for her they are voting for their own unemployment! A call campaign to all the unions is in order. Fax, email and call. Get the word out while we have time!
