Other than Cougar McTart having over $100 million, seven or eight homes and the family jet, what on earth could Grampa McSame see in her? She comes across as soft as petrified wood. And, according to Grampa McSame, is quite the "c" word. Not to mention the drug abuse, thefts, prescription forgeries, run-ins with the DEA, and what-not that make Cougar, and Grampa, who they really are today. And would Grampa McSame REALLY love America as much if he only had access to a Navy Captain's pay grade and salary? Or does Cougar's cash make it just a little bit easier to be John McSame?
...and she WAS better looking way back when...when they were having an affair behind the first Mrs. McCain's back. Must have been before all the drugging and drug stealing thing.

Being worth over $100 million dollars makes ol' Cindy an average American! It's those who worked their way up to where they are that are the elitists. I mean who do they think they are working hard and all? Damn elitists!

In all this time, I've only seen one film clip where she looked halfway decent, and even that one wasn't that great. It would take a LOT of photography work to make her look better, and most probably don't want to go to the trouble. And as far as the financial shinanigans are concerned, the more the merrier. Anything vetted that gets him fewer votes is just fine w/me.

Why don't the Obama surrogates come out swinging? I have heard a ton of McCain (and sadly Clinton) people calling Obama elitist but I NEVER hear Obama people talk about Cindy charging 750,000 dollars on her Visa last month, and spending 450,000 dollars on the domestic help in her 9 houses. Dukakis, Gore, Kerry - just never fought back. Now Obama is moving to the center! Why? We need real change.

What Barack brings us in January is very different from how he get in in January. I hope we have learned from the last two elections that you really need to fight fire with fire. If one needs to move to the center to get more votes, so be it. If we need to fight back, so be it. As far as I am concerned, after suffering through the past 7 of GWB, the ends justifies the means. The Republicans definitely do not fight fair. If you think so, then you weren't around for the past two elections.
After he is in, he can show that he is truly different.

I'm not saying rag on McC's wife -- because I think the wive's are off limit to a point.
But, if McCain is calling Obama an Elitist, why are we not fighting back pointing out the inconsistencies with McC and his wealth and being out of touch with the average American. Why are we not questioning his use of his wife's planes and other campaign violations, just to mention some minor things.
Why have we not pointed out more his opposition to the recently passed veterans bill while he is now claiming he supported it.

You were chiding me about my response to martha who thinks Obama should go after "Cindy charging 750,000 dollars on her Visa last month, and spending 450,000 dollars on the domestic help in her 9 houses."
I agree with Obama having an aggressive campaign, but I do not agree that he should stoop to irrelevant issues such as martha mentioned.
The Obama campaign is not the only ones able to speak about the issues you raise. AMERICABlog does and so do zillions of other news and political blogs and their readers discuss them 24/7. These topics are not unknown. In fact you just wrote about them. many more people read blogs and websites than watch political speeches. The word is getting out.
Obama has run a dynamic and exciting and honorable campaign. He should be cheered for this and we should recognize that he and his team know what they are doing.

Well, then I agree with you, but we, or Obama's campaign people. have got to push to have these issues addressed by MSM because, while a lot of people are reading blogs, there are also tons that do not and only get their news from the stupid little blips on regular TV.
I live in PA, a blue state, but in a small town, which is most definitely red. They are all bitching about the economy and gas and things in general, but until they get more of a connection that McCain, is an elitist and will be a 3rd term Bush, they will still vote Republican.
I love that Obama is a good guy and did not stoop to Hillary's level in the primary, but the general is different. A lot of Republicans didn't pay attention to the squabbling in the primary but will pay more attention, hopefully, in the general.

I like how that article acts like the GOP's pestering of Teresa Heinz Kerry is equal to the situation of Cindy McCain. John and Teresa Heinz Kerry were married in Massachusetts, which I don't believe is a community property state. Cindy and John McCain were married in Arizona, which *is* a community property state. That means that even if they filed separately, Cindy's money is John's money, and vice versa. I can't believe no one pressed her on that fact when she said that her tax returns were her own business. That's fine, but until she releases her returns (if she hasn't already), John McCain has not fully disclosed his finances to the American people. Half her income is his, by law.

All you have to know is that Cindy McCain is Patsy Stone (with a personal fortune- Patsy actually (barely) worked for her paycheck).
She and her husband also need to get right with the gays 'cause she cannot spend the rest of her days (esp, may the gods forbid, if she gets to the WH) lookin' like that.
Well, we all knew that money cannot buy happiness. Now we know it can't do a whole lot for ugly either. Other than being an heiress and part-time rodeo queen has she ever done anything of any real significance that changed lives for the positive? I know she has little charities that she likes to toss a morsel too on occasion, but real, long-term significance. I kinda doubt it.

The problem isn't just too many face lifts and botox shots- Cindy M. had a stroke some years back. But Repub political wives in general have that zombie stare and frozen smile - at least since Nancy Reagan. The exception was Rev Huckabee's wife who not only looked unmedicated, but appeared to have enjoyed a rack of ribs or two in her lifetime.

Seriously??? She had a stroke??? Does that mean wehave to stop making nasty cracks about her looks??? Damn!
shell
No! I have had 2 strokes, the last one which has paralyzed me for the past 5 years.
Make cracks all you like about me!
In all seriousness (But I am serious about having the strokes), STROKE is not what many think it is. Each stroke is different. What do you think about a stroke? That half a person's body shows it? That their faces have drooping eyes/mouth? Not true. In neither of my 2 strokes, could you tell. Yes, some have strokes that cause that -- see Cheney, Dick. But in many others, no.
In my first stroke, The doctors made me stay in the hospital overnight, but I was raring to go back to work the next morning. And I was shocked when I had to sign papers at the hospital that my writing was illegible. I didn't even realize it. So -- stuck at the hospital, I stayed awake all night (who can sleep in a hospital anyway?) and practiced writing, and by morning, I could write again, just as I could have 2 days before. No one could tell.
But the last one did me in. But still, you can't tell. I LOOK no different. It's just that I can't write with my right hand.
End of Stroke Education. LOL
Oh -- one more thing -- MANY people have had strokes and never know it. In fact, most people over a certain age (55?) have had them, and the only way you can tell is if a doctor tells you by doing some test. (Most find this out by getting a test for another ailment, and being told. Weird, huh?

I was giving her the benefit of the doubt I guess. There was an article in Newsweek the other week that said she needed pretty extensive therapy to speak and walk after the stroke - so it sounded pretty bad. That said, I've seen mostly still photos of her so I don't know if she has lingering problems.
I always feel sorry for professional wives who have to put on a show to advance their husbands' careers.

I'm glad someone else made comment on Cindy's looks. I thought I was the only one that thought -- puleeezzzzzz -- stop pulling your hair back. She actually was nice looking in those pictures with her hair down, but this pulled back crap.....I don't know is she trying to show off cheek bones or look younger or thinner or what? I never gave thought to face lifts -- because people I know don't have face lifts -- thanks.
Plus, Cindy McCain always looks posed. Which I don't think one can say of Michelle Obama, Teresa Heinz or Elizabeth Edwards -- they always look like real people, as does Tipper Gore. Dang, give me real people any day.
Personally, I think Cindy is looking a little anorexic in addition to looking plastic.
