AMERICAblog: Live stream of SEIU concert at R convention

    Bad headline writing, John...Especially when there's no content other than a click to the livestream! My initial reaction was WTF?!? Why would the SEIU be having a concert AT the "R Convention" (as the headline states...it's not even an "implication").

    SO, (in case i'm not the only one) this is from www.takelabordayback.com:

    The Take Back Labor Day Festival will combine world-class music, cutting-edge activism and family fun to put working Americans’ concerns on the national agenda in a whole new way. The event will take place just across the Mississippi River from the Republican National Convention, which opens on the same day, Sept. 1.

    Thousands from across the country will join together to promote a pro-worker agenda, including:

    * Healthcare for all
    * The freedom to join unions
    * Wages that can support families
    * Secure retirement

    Among many activities, festival-goers can enjoy a concert, record YouTube videos, play in the children’s area, make calls from SEIU’s Mobile Action Center, and take direct action on health care and other issues.

    Thanks for the link, but I did bypass it too because of the headline. Great concert--knew nothing about it.

    The parallels between Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and Barack Obama are interesting. They're almost the same age. Morello's mother is white, of Irish descent and his father Kenyan. He hails from Chicago. He graduated from Harvard with honors. He's always been very political, he just expresses it through music. Anyways...there's more, I just find it interesting.
