Jeannie Most, on CNN, is now doing her schtick on john McCain's troubles with his teleprompter. Shouldn't we be asking why he needs a teleprompter all the time, instead of giggling about why his teleprompter wasn't working "properly." News twinks need to start realizing the President isn't "news reader." He should be able to speak on his own. I know it makes 'em feel real special to imagine themselves in the same position but they get paid for reading the news. The President gets paid for being able to communicate to the American people, and HOPEFULLY not have to rely on reading what someone else wrote for him because he/she has no policy of his own. A good example is to watch Barack Obama, or remember when Clinton's prompter didn't work and he created his own speech with no problems? This whole idea that simply because Lord Pissypants can't speak without his puppeteers we are going to have to accept Presidents with no ability to speak on their own is, well, BULLSHIT!

Sen. Russ Feingold's Progressive Patriots is backing Rick Noreiga to unseat Texas Sen. John Cornyn. Russ says:

I'm proud to announce that the Progressive Patriots community has chosen U.S. Senate candidate of Texas Rick Noriega as our first 'Progressive Patriot' of 2008. Of the thousands of progressives who cast their vote, Rick received the most votes and we'll be sending him a $5,000 contribution today to help his campaign. While I'm sure it was difficult to choose among so many great candidates, we're thrilled to support Rick's campaign for the Senate seat in Texas.

Rick has spent his entire career serving this country. Following a 14 month deployment to Afghanistan, Rick returned to his native Houston to coordinate Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. In addition to his military background, Rick was elected to four terms in the Texas House. I urge you to check out Rick's website at www.ricknoriega.com to learn more about his record and to find out how you can help Rick succeed in November.

As long as youse guys continue your hateful, misogynist Hillary bashing, I will not consider listening to any of your appeals.

Three out of four, or maybe four out of five, of your posts trash Hillary. One would think you are secretly for McCain.

When Collins ran against Pingree in 2002, my vote was challenged by (blank) republicans who were sent to the polling place to challenge the votes of students (I lived in a college town) . It was really nasty what they did. Students are, without a doubt, allowed to vote in the towns where they attend school but they did it anyway. And I wasn't even a student. I worked and lived in the town and I had ample id and bills with my name on them. There was no reason for it. Afterwards, the town put a stop to that in the next election (s). My hate for the republican party really solidified since that day. They couldn't have known what party affiliation I was - they were just banking on the fact that there would be more democratic voters rather than republican ones. They sacrificed votes from their own party and had no problem it.
