Sad to say, but my prediction is that by the time of the convention, HRC will have closed the gap to less than 80 elegates -- and will then attempt to flip 40+ SDs to her side and clinch the nomination.

I am less concerned with the fact that people in the campaigns of Obama, McCain and Clinton met with the Ambassador to Colombia than the fact that Obama refuses to meet with respectable members of the Gay Press here in the United States. There are tremendous issues related to Gay rights that are being addressed by Clinton and ignored by Obama (except as one liners that his speechwriters add for his speeches). Below is a link to the Philadelphia Gay News that discusses Obama avoiding them.

I'm surprised John hasn't posted the story about Randi Rhodes being suspended for speaking the truth about Hillary (Drudge has the link). Randi called Hillary a "whore", lol. I don't know too many people, except Hillbots, who disagree with that.
  • ObamaMiracle · 1 year ago
http://www.drudgereport.com/ also has some links about when Billary lied to Jay Leno about being under fire in Bosnia. This is great. The MSM is finally starting to call the Clinton crooks on their lies. Billy boy and the hog are looking more and more like hillbilly trash.
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
Today was a good day, Obama raised twice as much as Hillary and Randi called Hillary a whore, but sorry she got suspended for that.
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
I gather from the report that the Clinton campaign pays Mark Penn's bill.
Even more perplexing is the comment about "Colombia's reality." Um . . . there are several Columbian realities. ¿Quien habla? The US puppet government? The rebel government? The narcotraficantes? The urban poor? The people in the hills?

Clinon's playing the race card or the Republicans in November (assuming Obama wins) may be in for a surprise. 76% of Americans, according to this poll, are ready for a black president.

I thought that we already had a free trade agreement with Columbia. You meant that coke could get even cheaper than it is now?

Obama was on Hardball's College tour, I think it was yesterday. He stated outright he is opposed to gay marriage BUT believes the civil laws should be strengthened to make sure that gay partners have the same liberties as every American.
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
March was one of the worst months for Obama and he still raised more than Hillary, that is a shout out loud WOW, WOW, WOW

Hillary and Mark Penn are one in the same, because if she had any issues with him, she would have fired him a long time ago.

Hillary needs to just man up and give her concession speech, endorse Obama and tell Billy Bob to STFU.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Hillary keeps reminding me of this song:

She keeps her Moet et Chandon
    In her pretty cabinet
'let them eat cake' she says
    Just like Marie Antoinette
    A built-in remedy
    For Kruschev and Kennedy
    At anytime an invitation
    You can't decline

    Caviar and cigarettes
    Well versed in etiquette
    Extraordinarily nice

    She's a Killer Queen
    Gunpowder, gelatine
    Dynamite with a laserbeam
    Guaranteed to blow your mind
    Anytime

    And it's not a complement.

So Hillary, Obama and McCain met with the Ambassador to Colombia. Obama refused to get his picture taken with the san Francisco mayor Newsome because he didn't want to be associated with Gay Rights. Read former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown recounting his conversation with Obama about that.

Ms Rodham-Clinton's family is every bit old, dynastic, money, as beholden to the military/media/industrial complex, as much member of the Bilderbergers, as Bush. Penn was there in both capacities.
  • maxstar212 · 1 year ago
So Hillary, Obama and McCain met with the Ambassador from Colombia. The DNC wont let Gays be part of our Affirmative Action Agenda, because members of the DNC Black Caucus, such as Donna Brazile, opposed the plan because it was seen as “an affront to the civil rights movement.” And then they fired the gay man who worked for the DNC because he wouldn't cover it up.

Remember when Geraldine Ferraro said that Obama wouldn't be where he is except for the fact that he's black? Well, she was on Hannity and Colmes tonight and it appears that she's not the only one who's said that. Sean produced a speech Obama wrote last year and he said the same thing about himself.

Senate drops bankruptcy aid from housing planJudges could have altered mortgages of homeowners facing foreclosure

WASHINGTON - Republicans and business-friendly Democrats on Thursday scuttled a plan to give people threatened with losing their homes more leverage in winning favorable loan terms from their lenders in bankruptcy courts.

The Senate killed the bankruptcy plan by a 58-36 vote on the first full day of debate on a bill designed to boost the slumping housing market.

The Democratic-backed bankruptcy law changes, opposed by banks and their GOP allies and a handful of Democrats, would have given judges the power to cut interest rates and principal on troubled mortgages to help desperate borrowers trapped in subprime mortgages keep their homes.

    Ode to Hillary

    Cold As Ice

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=qQagCZPRk2c&feature=...

    You're as cold as ice
You're willing to sacrifice our love

    You never take advice
    Someday you'll pay the price
    I know

    I've seen it before
    It happens all the time
    You're closing the door
    You leave the world behind
    You're digging for gold
    Yet throwing away
    A fortune in feelings
    But someday you'll pay

    You're as cold as ice
You're willing to sacrifice our love
    You want Paradise
But someday you'll pay the price
    I know

    I've seen it before
    It happens all the time
    You're closing the door
    You leave the world behind
    You're digging for gold
    Yet throwing away
    A fortune in feelings
    But someday you'll pay

Cold as ice, you know that you are
Cold, cold, as, as, ice, as cold as ice to me
    Cold, cold, as, as, ice

Ooh, ooh, ooh, cold as, cold as ice
    You're as cold as ice
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know
You're as cold as ice, yes I know
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know

Call me crazy, but I thought this was a site for Democrats. I've said it a number of times before. I hate all three candidates and I'm not planning on voting in November. Unlike most people, I'm not shy about bashing any of the candidates.
  • Sarah B. · 1 year ago

    Not voting in November? Really?

If you really like the current ultra-right wing 5/4 majority now dominating the United States Supreme Court, then you will love the nominees certain to be chosen by John McCain, who has stated that he will appoint nominees like Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas and John Roberts and Samuel Alito.

Is that what you really want? Think about it.

Hillary takes money (boatloads) from new money society climbers like Susie Buell Tompkins. She and then husband Dougie ran Esprit (based in SF) and were VIRULENT Union busters and overseas slave labor abusers, all they way until they cashed out. Research away - it’s all there - to be ignored by the Hillary supporters…

Why does Hillary hate Unions? Why does Hillary take money from Union busters??
  • dula · 1 year ago
Politics is just a money making game to 95% of people in politics (am I being too generous?). Of course, they can only be a reflection of the populace...an entire society devoted to their own personal dreams/goals/ambitions often times at the expense of the whole. I don't think this is what our founding fathers had in mind by the "Pioneer Spirit'.

You might want to think twice before posting anything from Al Giordano and Narco News. His (their) views on Colombia are closer to the views of Hugo Chavez than any progressive democrat should be comfortable with. And this is just one example. It's popular with radical leftists to make assertions like "Uribe is the biggest human rights violater ever" and then laundry list all the human rights violations that have occurred in Colombia yet never offer a shred of proof linking any of those things to Uribe. I'm no "uribista" but he's made it possible for me, a gringo, to live in Bogota without fear of violence, he's returned Colombia from the brink of "failed state" status, he's pushed the FARC to the breaking point, and the economy is booming. What he hasn't done is crack down on the paramilitaries, make progress toward better distribution of income (wealth), or engage in any substantive negotiation with the FARC. That doesn't mean he's *responsible* for paramilitary violence or that he *should* have agreed to the FARC's ridiculous demands. Anyway, my point is, linking to the Narco News is equivalent to linking to any of those Right Wing Conspiracy websites that pretend to be legitimate news outlets but instead on spout vitriol and propaganda and that, from where I sit, it generally beneath the AmericaBlog standard.

I don't agree with Alexis. I think that either Democratic candidate in the end will be better than McCain. But I think it is valid to discuss the differences between the 2 on Gay issues and which one is better for our community. And to discuss if the Democratic Party pays as much attention to Gay Rights as it does to other minorities.

Hillary would be well advised to dump both Mark Penn and Howard Wolfson from her "crack" team of advisors. These two have NOT been giving her good advice for some time and yet she is paying them a whole hell of a lot of money that would be better spent paying off the local merchants and service providers remaining unpaid in the wake of her campaign juggernaut. She should soon see how long they would be at her side if she stopped thier checks. Hil needs to pay attention to this: every single supplier who goes unpaid another day, another week, another month is another reminder to the public that she doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything except the nomination. She just cannot get it into her fat head that she is NOT entitled to the nomination and that the longer she lets maddog whoremonger Bill anywhere near the media hes putting the spoke in to lessen any chances she might have left. These two are proving themselves to be the biggest losers. Dead End Kids!!

Bill needs a cheap supply of cocaine so he can entice the young ladies. Hillary needs rich drug lords to help finance her campaign.

    It's a win-win.
