That's what I was just going to comment about. They voted in enough numbers so that bush got in there twice. Enjoy.

But they at least made sure, these 8 years, that faggots can NOT get married. And they could try to put God in the schools again...and they still get to carry their guns. Damn...how's that working out? Your "I wanna have a beer with Bush" voting decision making? Damn we stopped fag marriage...whew...life is good again. Glad that's all worked out for you folks. Gonna do that shit again? Good for you! No fags in the army either! Goddam faggot pinko commie homos. John McCain is my man!
Karl Rove is laughing at you, you fucking stupid white trash voters!

He wears Ferragamo? OMFG Cindy! Cindy! Is he meeting your needs in the boudoir? Because Ferragamo on a man means only one thing, girlfriend. Your Johnny has a hint of mint in those light loafers. Tell me, Ms Thang, what exactly went on in that Hanoi Hilton??????? The boy wears Ferragamo????

I think Louisiana, home of Diaper Dave Vitter, has about half a dozen of those gays can't marry amendments hanging off our state constitution.

Back then, waiting in line in 2004 to vote on one of the amendments was up to a vote by the fundies. It was Boston's worst nightmare. Big feather hair and polyester pants for the women. I looked totally out of place with this group. The guys my age all looked like younger versions of Rove. Total soft weaklings. And they all acted like they didn't want to get too close to me. So I voted and left. Then the next day with results in, they proclaimed that Louisiana voters had overwhelmingly voted against gay marriage by 80%. But that's misleading. 60% of eligible voters don't vote in this state so it's mostly fundies who do. Not saying those who stayed home wanted gays to have equal rights but they basically just don't care.

The only reason they put marriage amendments on ballots is to get out Republican voters.

Hey, don't starving students know all they have to do is fund a chair, contribute a big chunk to a building fund, etc.?
Then you don't even have to worry about going to class and getting good grades, either.

I would imagine this is going to hit the Bushie voters more so than high gas prices. When middle class mom/dads who have voted Repbulican to feel like they are part of the aristocracy can't send their kids to school they are going to change their way of thinking.

I doubt it. Shit so stupid that they would vote for Bush twice are going to go looking for a scapegoat, and never, ever blame their dear leader, der Chimpenfuror. Watch for them all to start bitching about affirmative action when little jack and jill can't get no edumacation.

And then you have someone like McBush (and Bush) who were born with the privilege of attending the nation's top schools and fucked it up. Or Obama, who had to borrow money to get an education and came out on top...kids today might not be able to follow his example.
It's getting to be so much like it was back in the 50s, when if you didn't come from the right family (money), you couldn't get an education unless you were on the GI bill (and most of the time, that didn't include women). Women were supposed to stay home, raise kids and follow their master; a HS education was supposed to be plenty for us, and of course, you could get a secretarial or clerk's job if you really insisted on working, but that was only until you got married...or your hubby left you holding the bag [of kids]. "Negroes" of course were not educable like whites, so they couldn't attend white schools, either.
Yet, the US govt can guarantee that private banks and investors don't go broke...their kids will go to college, not a chance in hell they won't.

Oh, have no fear, the Democratic Party won't touch this issue with a 10 foot pole, on orders from their GOP overlords.
The Democratic Leadership's record has shown that they cave in or flee from every dingle issue that reflects the core values of the Democratic Party.
