I used to be a daily reader of AmericaBlog. It was, in fact, the first blog I ever read. But lately, I've pretty much stayed away. All these anti-Hillary polemics have long since become tiresome and redundant.
If Hillary becomes the nominee, I will support her. Despite disliking Obama's ideas about health care, I have been an enthusiastic supporter all along.
But I won't continue to read snarky post after snarky post about Hillary or Bill Clinton. You've driven your point into the ground. Can we get back to some of the insightful posts and determined actions that made me a fan in the first place? Or will you remain stuck in this rut?

Catelyn, I'm sorry, but you don't get it. 4 days ago Hillary espoused outright racism. Two days ago, her husband told West Virginians that Obama "mocks" them. And your upset that we are critical of Hillary. I'm sorry, but you don't understand our point at all. She has lost the election and now is trying to destroy our nominee so that he will lose in the fall. We're going to give her the same treatment until she stops, or is herself just as wounded. We're not writing this to make a point, we're writing this to stop her from destroying our party. And yeah, we're going to continue writing about her scandals as long as she keeps espousing racism and smearing Obama. If she's going to try to take Obama down, then she will get the same treatment.
And as an aside, I didn't notice you mentioning having any problem with any of Hillary's or Bill's comments.

BigSky, she isn't the target. The Superdelegates and the congressional leadership, and the media, are the targets. They aren't willing to accept a Democratic civil war started by Hillary. And if it takes taking us to the brink of one to stop her from destroying our nominee, and to finally give the SuperDs the courage to make up their minds, then so be it. But again, this isn't about influencing Hillary because, well, I'd agree with you - I don't think she can be influenced by reason, otherwise she wouldn't still be running.

I come here more than 3 times a day to see what you have to say. I appreciate you pointing out what is going on with Hillary. She is exhibiting more than 7 traits of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. In a way I feel sorry for her but on the other hand, she is bringing this on herself. It is not our fault she cannot see what she is doing but more and more the MSM is starting to turn against her. She was booed in Sheperdsville, WV, where is that story? Anyway, keep up the good work John, even when I disagree with you, I still value your opinions and you frequently give me something to think about. P.S. I think it is because Hillary has been balls to the wall in attacking Obama. Obama has been restrained in his attacks on Hillary, he said so himself, for the good of the party. She is, after all, the wife of what was once a pretty loved Democratic president.

I do not think Sen. Clinton can erase all the remarks aimed at Sen. Obama to become a Vice President. There has been too much "blood under the bridge" for her to now say I was only campaigning and didn't mean any of it.
I also agree, having former President Clinton ready to butt in on a moments notice would make Obama look like the "Junior President" when around Bill or Hillary and they wouldn't waste time showing him he was the novice and that they should have been the "rightful owners" of the residence. It will never work and we need new blood in that position and one who would be on board with Obama from the beginning and not waiting for the moment to make him look weak.

Maybe it's that mother thing and him being hard core or tough with her is like getting nasty at your mother. Obama is too smart to choose her as a VP. He will not choose a VP who would spend her time undermining him at every turn......and Bill running off at the mouth or offering his advice. As the nominee - he is entitled to his choice, not her demands. It is time for the supers to shut her down. No more attacks on our nominee, no more race baiting.....just GO AWAY. I live in OR and our gov endorsed her and our senator is waiting until after the primary to endorse.. I have been calling and emailing their offices to ask them to help shut her down now instead of later. If you have a super in your area that is supporting Clinton or uncommitted - call them NOW....It's sad, but we have to push them to act.

Obama could never have a VP who has claimed he is not ready to be commander-in-chief, while at the same time endorsing McCain (i.e. "McCain has crossed the threshold"). All the GOP has to do is run those clips on a loop.

Dowd, like many who hate Clinton, refers to her as Hillary, but on the other hand it is always Obama and not Barack. It is a means of denigration(oops, now I will be accused of racism). As usual, Dowd just rolls out her unsupported biases - oops, opinion. She takes her wishes for horses. Using that Dowd woman as support for criticizing Clinton is just unbelievable.
Anyway, Clinton would have more influence in the Senate than as VP. She has a safe seat and would be foolish to leave it.
econt

Her support will erode if she continues....she's only where she is because of Bill Clinton (pretty sad for a feminists).....and they've both tarnished the Clinton brand in this election. Having the name Clinton or being married to a former President won't help her if her colleagues think she is dividing the party and race baiting. And being the First lady of Arkansas and the First Lady of the US - does not make you ready on day one...unless she has to plan a state dinner or choose the china pattern. Her one major task as First Lady (healthcare) was an utter failure. If she can't manage the finances of her campaign (20 million in debt) how can she manage the US economy? Loaning your camping 11m and possibly more.....no....that's not elitist.

Hillary has been difficult to deal with because he does not want to take the gloves off against a fellow Democrat. John. Um, Kidding, right? Dowd's column is pretty crappy and has been for quite some time. I cannot believe they ever awarded her a Pulitzer. It seems like all of the shrill Hillary-haters, which most of the left bloggers have become, are suddenly adoring the repulsive, laughable, and tacky Dowd. Look, I voted for Obama in the Primary and have been supporting him since Hillary turned me sour on her in March. But all of this over-the-top piling on is silly, distracting and totally unnecessary. She did herself in and can finish the job herself every time she opens her mouth. All of this blogger bashing of her does nothing but make you guys look petulant and leave her looking merely stupid and stubborn. We have our candidate, now, let it go and start focusing on McSame.

Which other male candidates are called by their first name rather than their family name?
One of the reasons that Clinton supporters don't like Obama supporters(not Obama himself)is the total disrespect they show for Clinton, mostly hinting at she is a woman. Obama is much more classy than any of his supporters I have read.

Obama can do much better, like Wes Clark or John Edwards.
Anyway, Clinton would have more influence in the Senate than as VP. She has a safe seat and would be foolish to leave it.
I left the blog not just because you complimented Maureen Dowd; it's the accumulation of anti-Hillary material to the exclusion of reason. Dowd is just the last straw.
Which other male candidates are called by their first name rather than their family name?
One of the reasons that Clinton supporters don't like Obama supporters(not Obama himself)is the total disrespect they show for Clinton, mostly hinting at she is a woman. Obama is much more classy than any of his supporters I have read.

I see Hillary Clinton's supporters doing exactly the same thing. Here is Hillary Clinton's website: http://www.hillaryclinton.com/splash It says "Hillary for President."
