More about the Yule Goat
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/11/183443/...
If Hillary becomes the nominee, I will support her. Despite disliking Obama's ideas about health care, I have been an enthusiastic supporter all along.
But I won't continue to read snarky post after snarky post about Hillary or Bill Clinton. You've driven your point into the ground. Can we get back to some of the insightful posts and determined actions that made me a fan in the first place? Or will you remain stuck in this rut?
And as an aside, I didn't notice you mentioning having any problem with any of Hillary's or Bill's comments.
--John Aravosis--
If Hillary were not STARK RAVING MAD, maybe the MAD scenario would lead her to compromise.
But I don't think so.
So be it.
She has started something that we had better finish before she does.
We have gone way way past the point of no return.
She will stop at nothing.
The American people have a personal beef with Hillary and she never turns the other cheek.
Obama is catching it directly but we are the collateral damage.
Anyway, keep up the good work John, even when I disagree with you, I still value your opinions and you frequently give me something to think about.
P.S. It is not bashing Hillary to point out the damage she is causing to herself and her party.
OH!
That was quite a diary over at kos. That's the Hillary that people suspect but have not seen. Too bad.
As for those that come here and continue to complain about John being negative to Hillary I might suggest that this is the same as pornography and censorship. If no one buys or reads Huster it goes out of business. Everything in life is a choice. It is why I don't listen to Rush, Hannity, O"reilly or Fox. I choose not to, I don't agree with what they say but don't belabor the difference in positions. I know what I like and have never trolled a right wing site with a view to changing anything or even stirring up the pot. Waste of energy.
Obama has been restrained in his attacks on Hillary, he said so himself, for the good of the party.
She is, after all, the wife of what was once a pretty loved Democratic president.
So, it is probably the tension of this dynamic.
I do recognize the need though.
Sigh
Run Hillary out of town.

Obama was in a tight spot for another reason too.
If Obama hit back hard at Hillary, he would have been finished.
Hillary knew this and was trying her damnedess to make him snap at her.
Fortunately, he didn't rise to the bait.
(I can't say I would have had such self control.)
I like her snark too but it is the pieces like these that I remember
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/08/us/politics/0...
Her, Lieberman and the Bush administration.
Well of course, Jim. Strangely there are people even more deserving of attention from law enforcement than Hillary.
All good things, you know?
I also agree, having former President Clinton ready to butt in on a moments notice would make Obama look like the "Junior President" when around Bill or Hillary and they wouldn't waste time showing him he was the novice and that they should have been the "rightful owners" of the residence. It will never work and we need new blood in that position and one who would be on board with Obama from the beginning and not waiting for the moment to make him look weak.
I'm tired of you guys taking about my ex's like they were all Darth Vadar. I know there was good in them still ...
... uh, joking aside, Hillary on The Hill or Hillary in a Bunker (although with luck, she wouldn't have tie-break Senate votes very often)? How do you calculate the odds on which is better/worse, from a political power consolidation perspective?
We forget that Hillary is, in fact, a lot older and more experienced that Barack. He shows a kind of deference to a lot of the more senior Senators in the Senate, yes?
Your clear hatred of HIllary's coloring all your posts is really getting tiring. I'm at the point of changing my hopepage away from Americablog because I'm fed up with the gratuitous Hillary-bashing. And if it's wearing on me, someone who is no fan of Hillary's, god knows how many others you're alienating.
We get it. We do. You don't like Hillary. Enough already.
Hillary and Bill kept acting like it was a close race after IN and NC. No, she lost. She cannot possibly catch up no matter what she does. For Bill and Hill to go on attacking the Democratic nominee means they are only in this for themselves. Not you, not me, and not for the Democratic win in November.
-----------------------------------------------
While I truly understand your wanting to protect your candidate, you do have to look past the feelings and see that both she and Bill are truly doing damage to both Obama and the party, no?
So much of this whole "tide turning" meme is simple spin, fed by a press corps who never, ever liked Hillary. Basically, it's still a close race (and no one has, to this point, put forth much of an argument as to why that's a bad thing). So I had to chuckle when you referred to the press corps as "turning" on Hillary.
I really thought the Dems were smarter than the Republicans when it came to sorting the spin from the news; alas, that does not appear to be the case.
They spent over half of this primary spreading dirt on Obama i.e. giving the Rev Wright information, according to Rush Limbaugh was given to hannity & combs who didn't bite, fnally Abc Brian Ross ran withe story.Limbaugh said she didn't want to lose the minority vote and wanted to keep her hands clean.Rush said she even told Brian what specific video to watch.
Ironically she has lost the minority vote anyway. On youtube search the clinton chronicles 1-11,the mena conection, hillary's baggage, hillary the movie, and bosnia and back again. You will get the full picture of who these corrupt twosomes really are!!! Dirty money follows them ~
==================================
Ahhh, I see, you are not really so much a Hillary supporter as a Democratic foe. Sometimes it does take time to see the entire picture, sorry you haven't found your candidate in Obama as I do believe he is the nominee, like it or not. Hopefully you will join the party in voting for our candidate against the Republican choice of McSame.
The ticket by itself will be weak, because there will be a black candidate, and a woman candidate, that is a negative. Besides that, Hillary will be the worst woman he could pick to run with him. Her high negatives, the lies, the toilet sink tactics, the attacks, the insults, endorsing McCain over Obama, her badly run campaign, the mismanagement of funding, you name it, it is all there. I think Obama has more self respect and intelligence than that.
----------------------------------------------------
I truly do not think that Obama is even tempted to take her onto his ballot, no matter what is being discussed in private. Hillary (and BILL) will NOT be the type who relish the background NOR taking orders especially coming from a supposed no-name man (and I am being delicate here in light of her comments).
Both Hill and Bill will continue to make trouble be they in or out of the oval office.
------------------------------------------------------
When you use something that a blog says to actually SWAY your vote, I can't believe that your vote was ever truly from your own heart and intellect.
If this is all it takes to make you vote for the opposing party, than I would suggest that you were never really seriously considering what the Democratic candidate EVER stood for in the first place.

If you have information and links to share with the group, it is best to give an URL to the actual link from which you are citing.
The link you gave is just for the general Politico. com site and not to any specific article, nor (when searched) was I able to find anything linking to it.
In office since 1981, on the ticket since 1980.
But thank you for mentioning it. I haven't seen anyone else talking about it. I think this has been the longest dynastic period in US history.
This is why I like him and it's going to be a refreshing change.

Obama can do much better, like Wes Clark or John Edwards.
Anyway, Clinton would have more influence in the Senate than as VP. She has a safe seat and would be foolish to leave it.
I left the blog not just because you complimented Maureen Dowd; it's the accumulation of anti-Hillary material to the exclusion of reason. Dowd is just the last straw.
Which other male candidates are called by their first name rather than their family name?
One of the reasons that Clinton supporters don't like Obama supporters(not Obama himself)is the total disrespect they show for Clinton, mostly hinting at she is a woman. Obama is much more classy than any of his supporters I have read.

I see Hillary Clinton's supporters doing exactly the same thing. Here is Hillary Clinton's website: http://www.hillaryclinton.com/splash It says "Hillary for President."
