  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
even rush limpballs got this half-right.
he played Clark's statement and then got pissed at McWarHero for acting like it hurt his feelings...

the GOPers are completely off their game.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
An octogenerian VP? I would prefer the Italian hooker that John A is so fond of. What's her name? She was hotter than a 2 dollar pistol on Saturday nite. Name began with a "C" I believe...
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
tls, have you ever been happy in your entire life?

    Luv ya, girl
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago

Check out the unbelievable picture of Cindy McCain at the NYT website. "Blowsy" and "trollop" come to mind. Unprofessional cleavage, not attractive with a 50-year old chest. Hair that looks straight out of Haight-Ashbury.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
    somebody needs a makeover. yikes.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
When you're worth 300 mil? You wear what you want and do what you want...
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Dont understand why everyone, including the Obama campaign, is taking Clarks comments out of context.

I dont think being shot out of a plane and held prisoner for years would qualify anyone to be the POTUS.
Has nothing to do with the job actually.

And good point about McCains military leadership-he did not lead men during an ongoing war.
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
It is rough on the critics to have a presidential candidate whom actually did some service for the U.S., one whom laid it on the line and did not come back whining. Unlike the last few presidents, this man did his duty as he was ordered. There is integrity in that no matter how you do not like him.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Keep bringing up Bush against Kerry.!!! That is so over, duckie.

McCain, after his service ended, was backed by his father-in-law Hensley and Kemper Marley. His first runs for office in Arizona were funded by the Las Vegas/Phoenix mafia. Then he was involved in a huge billion dollar banking scandal with Keating, his BFF, and had to give back hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I dont like McCain stealing money from the Arizona Land Trust. That money is supposed to go to the public schools. No wonder Arizona is second to last nationally in testing and proficiency, right above Mississippi. McCain has been skimming money and getting kick backs from the Land Trust for 26 years.

Besides his service, and his reliance on his father and grandfathers coattails because his grades were so bad-none of his public life qualifies him to be POTUS. Unless you are a neo-con war monger , that is.
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
Where did I say Kerry? And I did'nt bring it up. A lot of hostility I am sensing here. Dr. Phil where are you? Help me.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
No one can help the neo cons this year.

It is fine to slam Kerrys service in the military because he was a Dem, right?

But not OK to question just how, tell me, how does being a POW qualify you to be in charge at the White House in the Executive office?
What special skills do you learn as a POW that makes you qualified to be the POTUS?
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
    humility
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Yea, well, if that is the skill...then growing up half black and half white in America has given Mr. Obama all the humility he needs.
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
    You got it!!
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
    OBAMA NACHO MAMA
  • CDS2 · 1 year ago
shano....I agree being shot out of a plane does not qualify one to be POTUS. Any thoughts on what does qualify one for the job?
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Making sound judgments on US foreign policy as Mr. Obama has. First he gets slammed, or course, then they put in operation what he said (attacking select targets in Pakistan, for example-and the big one Iraq IS a dumb war) And why the hell have we not caught Bin Laden? Fighting terror in a smart way by understanding the role of diplomacy, poverty aid, and international relations.

Another qualification in this modern age. What to do about our energy policy? Obama agrees with Republican oil man T Boone Pickens. Stop giving dictatorial governments oil money, develop sustainable energy! Energy from the sun and wind will set this country up for economic growth and security. (McCain is nuclear first, another old technology that is dirty and costly and not sustainable).

Another qualification is to protect the powerless, not just the powerful who are able to buy protection. This realm includes fixing the health care system and the tax system so the average American can continue to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Sound judgement, intellectual curiosity, being current on the change in modern technology and changes in the financial sectors...
(Obama TRIED to pass legislation to stop the mortgage banking crisis two years ago, as opposed to McCain being directly involved in his own banking crisis with Keating)
    etc,etc,etc.
    McCain has nothing...
  • CDS2 · 1 year ago
So you obvously believe that Obama's experience qualifies him to hold the most important and powerful job in the world? Seems to me that when I try to find anything that he has actually done, I come up empty handed. my quandry is how the hell did this guy actually become the leader of the Democrat Party? His lack of credentials just blows my mind. (Frankly, I feel that same way about McCain....there's nothing in his background that qualifies him either)...however, at least he commanded a bunch of sailors.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Obama has led on legislation. Crossing the aisle to work against nuclear proliferation, (this made the whole world a bit safer, thank you!)

Passing legislation to increase government transparency (You can now see government spending on-line) btw, Obama first tried to work with McCain on this issue and found McCain was not really for reform at all, big surprise!

And he passed legislation to help soldiers at Walter Reed...has McCain EVER worked on legislation to help the troops instead of taking credit for the Webb Bill he did not vote on and rejected out of hand anyway? Any McCain inspired initiative to make something positive happen for average Americans? anything?

Obama has been pretty forward thinking on the major issues of the day. Yes, Iraq is a DUMB war, Mr. Obama. I just took us 6 years to figure it out. And now, yes, Pakistan is a big problem you have been talking about for years now....

And yea, Mr. Obama, you were right about the mortgage crisis two years ago! We should have done something back then! Oh snap, our bad...
  • CDS2 · 1 year ago
Shano....nice try, but there is nothing in your comments that leads me to believe that Obama is qualified to hold down the most important job in the world !
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
Makes you wonder who is calling the shots? Who are these people running for office? Not my choices either. So where doi all these people come out of the woodwork and start praising this or that as the REAL Answer for America? Hmmm.....makes you wonder???
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
I still do the pledge of allegiance and observe the star spangled banner with my hand over my heart. Guess his heart must be a little lower than the rest of us. Like crotch level......Oh, his was a two hander salute too. He might be twice as patriotic as the average joe and maybe not afraid to let you know his heart is in his pants. Did I say Bill Clinton? Maybe I implied it. Oh well, I think there is a video on You Tube
  • beer069dude · 1 year ago
Because Clark has no right to be saying such outrageous comments, he should have kept his personal vendetta against Senator McCain to himself. That and the media was really helpful
  • beer069dude · 1 year ago
Its true that does not put McCain being a better candidate then any other so really McCain should have rephrased it.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Wesley Clark does not come across as a rock solid person on the TV. I think that's his problem. He has experience, intellect, poise, etc. But, there's always a "loose cannon" aspect to his personality that overshadows his achievements.

I think as a vp candidate he would guarantee an Obama loss.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Frankly, who gives a flying fig? Did anyone read Seymour Hersh's piece in the New Yorker? Did you hear him interviewed on Terri Gross's show on NPR today?

The Vichy Dems have sold us out again. Pelosi, Reid, Hoyer and Rockefeller gave Bush $400 mil after a secret meeting to conduct covert operations in Iran. Bush will get WWIII as he wished.

I'm glad I don't belong to any party. It won't make any difference who the hell is elected in Nov. This country is totally fucked.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
While you might be correct, I think we shouldn't draw conclusions that can't be supported by facts. We don't have any record of what went on, and as some have pointed out, when dealing with Bush, what the Dems think is the meaning of issues at hand is never what Bush thinks. He interprets his policies as he wishes.
  • shell · 1 year ago
I fear you are correct. I go through this every 4 years. But this year was different, because Bush screwed up the country worse than any other president of my lifetime. Obama, although not my first choice, was OK. Then, when he won the primary, he goes Republican. And yes, I realize that he is doing this because he needs so-called Middle-of-the-Road voters. But he will lose me. I have had it.
  • beer069dude · 1 year ago
I agree that Clark is just a loose cannon with a big mouth, but hey who in politics doesn't? LOL!!
  • beer069dude · 1 year ago
Oh gosh! Are you serious!! IRAN? Damn all those IRR's be ready, wait I am one.
  • misterorff · 1 year ago
Why wasn't this all a big deal when Bush/Rove cronies said the same thing in about McCain (and much worse) in 2000.

Also, if you actually watch/listen to Clark during this, he is just responding to Shaffer who made it seem like anyone who gets shot down should automatically be given a flag pin and an elected position.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Al Gore would be Obama's best vp candidate. But, that's not going to happen. Edwards, Hoyer, Pelosi, Oprah, Webb; next in that order. IMHO
  • tinylitess · 1 year ago
Sure you bet old Bob Schieffer hes one of you rightwingers, sure.

    Delusional

    1. an act or instance of deluding.
    2. the state of being deluded.
    3. a false belief or opinion:

Could it be that Americabloggers are just that plain stupid and asinine...I mean hell, even OBAMA has rejected it and just lets his little bitches here at Americafraud sling bullshit.......Wake up Avarosis cause even your Messiah rejects these smears.......

    http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/06/...

*** UPDATE *** Here's a statement from Obama spokesman Bill Burton on Wes Clark's controversial comments about McCain's military service. "As he's said many times before, Senator Obama honors and respects Senator McCain's service, and of course he rejects yesterday's statement by General Clark."

Now quick!!!Change positions again as Obama does it more than a prostitute with the Americabloggers trailing not to far behind!!!
  • duckgoesquack · 1 year ago
    Its called waffle---ling ling ling.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
I think it is called rejecting the corporate medias FRAMING of Clarks statement.

No good sound bite to agree with Clarks point, it is too nuanced for average Americans.
Clark did not disrespect McCains service. Just questioned how it was relevant to the job of POTUS.

It is the same nuance that Obama battled with the flag pin crap.
  • lark83 · 1 year ago
All Clark said was that being a war hero doesn't automatically make you fit to be president - and the GOPers are going ape shit over it.

Compare that to what GOPers said about a Democratic war hero, John Kerry. Not content to merely state the same thing, they lied their asses off and claimed Kerry's medals were all faked, and that he wasn't a hero at all but a phony.

The republican party is completely morally bankrupt.
  • woodroad34 · 1 year ago
I reject the title of "hero" for McCain. He did nothing but get shot down and survive. He didn't save anyone; he didn't do anything heroic. His jailer even thinks he's great. What kind of commendation is that? McCain is an emotionally violent, stupid, old fart. There's nothing correct about him. His mind is gone, his morals are gone, his sense of correctness is gone. He's a skank and a boil on the American Public, just like Bush et al.
  • CDS2 · 1 year ago
But two of them were faked.
  • lark83 · 1 year ago
Two of what were faked? Says who? And when exactly did they claim they were faked?

There is not a shred of evidence that any of Kerry's medals were faked. All the old records (which are the only records that count) show Kerry was properly awarded the medals. All the old documents and records, some of which were recently unearthed, consistently show Kerry was properly awarded the medals. Don't be a fool and buy into any of their crap. The swiftboaters are a bunch of bitter, lying, Vietnam vets who can't grasp the reality that all their efforts were for nothing.
  • shell · 1 year ago
TO far behind? Typical! Ignorant, uneducated (even 3rd grade education) imbeciles, trolling on sane websites.

You don't fool no one, right-winger. Now go back to Free Republic, or wherever your computer experience allows you to go!
  • whynot51 · 1 year ago
My father was shot down in WW II and spent the war in a Nazi POW camp. He was embarrassed that he did not serve his country or help the war effort.

In no way was being a POW heroic nor did it qualify him (or any other POW of any war)to be President. McCain's service of sitting in a cell in the Hanoi Hilton is hardly experience that makes him presidential. That was Clark's point. So explain how McCain's imprisonment made him qualified to be President.

Obama rejected the statement because he doesn't want to be a part of the ludicrous attacks from people like you.
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
Bob Schieffer dos not have a golden tan and does not therefore qualify as Florida's favorite. BS for VP? Just say no.

Today I heard the name "JOHN ARAVOSIS" mentioned on that nasty Laura Ingraham show aired on Faux News. It was in the first guest segment where she was lying about what Clark actually said and implying all sorts of BS. She was extremely rude to Jon Soltz of VoteVets when he tried to point what was actually said by Clark before the carefully selected portion of video she aired. It was 2 right-wingers (Ingraham and David Bellavia) against one liberal (Soltz) in the usual Faux News "fair and balanced" style. Just when I thought Ingraham couldn't get any more shrill and lacking in professionalism, she does.
  • shell · 1 year ago
WHY did Obama DISAGREE with what Clark said? And he did, too. That, coupled with his being FOR telecom immunity, makes me go nuts.

Do I realize he is just trying to speak to the dummies? Yes. But he should also realize that, by doing so, he is speaking AGAINST sane Americans. Americans that vote. I see this every 4 years and I have had it.

Besides, on the telecom deal, HOW could voting against it HURT Obama? 99% of Americans pay no attention to this.
