    Barrack Obama: MIA

Perhaps Obama is the Manchurian candidate, for the Republican party.

Ronald Reagan didn't get elected trying to pander to the opposition, he mocked and lambasted them every chance he got, and America respected him for that. Obama? Nothing.

Ronnie when he left office left the biggest deficit. My Vet father-in-law use to say that Ronnie was acting the job of president. He colored his hair and of course he was to old. Now am 60 yrs old. My husband served in the Army when Regan was in. The only smart thing he did was to keep a distance from the crack wingnuts on the right. Those so call family value issues well Regan wasn't a fine example of a happy family. He was a distance father and he and Nancy like to have a card reader around before he would do any thing important. All you have to see are his children who didn't see eye to eye with their daddy. Those younger 2 had a hard time. Michael he wipes the mothers butt to try to get close to her.

In a word: No. The John-Kerry campaign transplant is complete.

This frustrates me as much as I'm sure it frustrates you, John. What can he say? What SHOULD he say? What could he say that won't be twisted out of context by the Village and used against him by Rove and the rest of his Dark Forces? Personally, I'd love to see him bitch slap that sick, twisted, propaganda-film-making phony patriot myself. Hard. Enough to leave a mark on his freaky chipmunk cheek. But that's just me.

someone should ask mcsame where Osama Bin Laden is...

if he actually knows he's in Afghanistan (not Iraq), they should ask him how the war is going in Afghanistan... maybe follow up with "What do you think of Obama's plan to deploy troops stationed in Iraq to Afghanistan, would that help the situation in Afghanistan?"
  • jescot · 1 year ago
I think his campaign will respond this time. McCain made this statement in Orlando himself ..it was not said by a Lieberman or another surrogate.

The proper response should involve the "judgement" issue as well----Who would say that anyone would want to loose a war for there own gain ? A crazy person! What is this the "Producers"? What if we produced a war that was a total flop and we made billions? " Sorry but Iven seen that show and it was made by BUSH and his production company.

how do you like this ad

    C137 opens back doors
pallets upon pallets of american greenbacks fly through the air...money sailing down too.....voice
John McCain doesnt care how much of your hard earned money is lost, stolen WASTED in Iraq.....ok everybody back to work................
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
It is pretty low of McCain. I haven't heard him directly accuse Obama of treason yet but that will happen in October I expect.

Off-topic but HUGE in my opinion, I just heard something about the California Supreme Court ruling in favor of a lesbian that was denied access to a common, ordinary medical procedure because she was gay. The California Supreme Court makes me proud again.

...or to listen to our troops on the ground when they say -- as they have said to me on my trips to Iraq: "Let us win, just let us win."

    ---

funny... more troops are signing up as Democrats than EVER before.

something tells me he only gets to see the troops that'd be good for photo ops... I wonder if they have roped off areas for protesters at the military bases he visits, like during any chimp appearance.

    Hmph...

Did Obama sign ANOTHER confession admitting to war crimes by the US Troops in Viet Nam?

    That silly Obama.

remember, when John McCain and George Bush promised ,cheaper gasoline, and a quick and easy war,Well John McCain surely has a VERY BAD memory (show 5.00 $gas pump prices in Calif)

I like the idea of just having text stating the percentage of Americans that want us out of Iraq... and following it with mcsame's statement "I dissagree with what the majority of American people want." (which he DID say during an interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ieHwOm4ljA&eurl... 8:43minutes in)

then the simple text fade in... "What kind of President denies the will of the people?"

    .

Perhaps it's the strain of running for president but McCain is showing all the signs of Delayed Onset PTSD.

    "Will Obama respond? Ever?"

    Perhaps in his memoirs . . .

I fear the wurst has Heinz ketchup all over it, but I'm trying to reserve judgment until after the convention.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
I don't think a "talking points" memo is a response. So, here I am, knee-deep again in a campaign for someone who appears not to want to fight for himself.

This time, I'm not bustin' my butt fighting for a candidate who won't come out fighting for himself.

Obama, either you fight for this or I'm gone.

    well bring on HRC

Get this! The Republicans are going crazy over being caught in the "Cone of Silence" scandal they created for themselves. Now they are going after the messengers. CNN just reported the Republicans are attacking MSNBC for allowing Andrea Mitchell to mention the scandal during "Meet the Press." In fact, Mitchell was trying to score points for McCain simply by trying to dismiss the "Cone of Silence" scandal by saying Democrats were bringing it up because McCain did such a good job. Republicans now are trying to scare MSNBC into making them their surrogates. I'm sure this has a secondary effect of trying to get them to silence Keith Olbermann and others who have the gonads to question them.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
I hope this isn't the point of the campaign where the " . . . cannot win" comment was meant to be inserted (won't fight, therefore cannot win??)
  • RonTunning · 1 year ago
I believe it's incumbent upon all of us to spread the word about who McCain really is. And use the corporate media to do so. I wrote a column recently, "[link:http://laconiademocrats.blogspot.com/2008/07/last-week-senator-mccain-embarrassed.html|No Regard For Truth or Integrity] that was actually published by my local newspaper which can best be described as to the right of the Union Leader in Manchester. What I found heartening was that I've had only a couple of negative responses but literally scores of positive ones, including many thanking me for stating the obvious.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
What a GREAT OPINION PIECE! Dude, you need to submit MORE to the press!

Here is a clickable link for others wanting to read Mr. Tunning's excellent article:

I love how you take the rag to task for supporting Bu$hco 100% then blaming Democrast for not being able to fix their disasters in two years.
  • RonTunning · 1 year ago
    Thanks,

I'm going to be writing a lot more. Right now, as chair of my local Democratic Party, I'm busy as hell with organizing, canvassing, and keeping up a website that requires 8 to 10 hours of labor daily. What's so fascinating is that I'm in the Republican heart of New Hampshire and yet people here have mostly disdain for McCain. I reported on the weekend's canvassing efforts (http://www.laconiademocrats.org/Sunday_Canvassi...) which found strong support for Obama and no enthusiasm for McCain.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
That's great! I'm vice / co-chair of our county Democratic Party. I know what you are talking about. I have to travel home today to run a meeting tomorrow.
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
That was very awesome. Good to see that was published.

    Good job RonTunning!
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
OK, no more Mr. Nice guy. Get Biden on the ticket for god sake, and put this cranky irritating old man out of our misery. How does McCain have any support?? I am finding him increasingly irritating, like a nat that keeps swarming around your head that you can't quite slap.

bring out the big guns, and burry this hack. Please Senator Obama. Do it now.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
betcha it will be Sebelius, not Biden.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Go to 3:40 on this youtube "Betty Butterfield" clip and you will see why we should be VERY AFRAID of voting for John McCain. Watch the whole clip - its just hysterical. I can't stop watching it:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k160Z-4WICg
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
    Why do I guess Sebelius?

Just spent hours in a Macomb County, Michigan Obama campaign office making hundreds of calls to invite people to a Town Hall women's event tomorrow with Senator Stabenow and Gov. Sebelius. Obama expected to make his announcement this week. Seems to coincide with some of the campaign's attention to Michigan. I maybe wrong, but . . . just a feeling.
  • ffbuzz · 1 year ago
Uh, Biden voted for the Iraq war, has been in Washington since Moses, and has more scandal than the media will know what to do with. Remember the "Obama's clean" comment?
  • OneManComotion · 1 year ago
More proff that Rove is control of McCains campaign. Legislate failure is absolutely from Rove's plat book. Mark my words this is a "gotcha statement" that will resignate loudly on the air waves.

Obama you need to fight this one NOW.
  • drobert_bfm · 1 year ago
Funny, coming from McCain, who ACTUALLY committed treason.
  • LisaLV711 · 1 year ago
Isn't that the truth! I mean really, McShame. Do you DARE open THAT can of worms or should be all just start sending the YouTube videos to all the TV "News" stations?, Humm?
