What more can be said about this woman? Not much other than she is overly ambitious and believes that she is destined for great things. Sadly she doesn't have the ability to realize that she is a total fake and even the stoooopidist of American voters know this deep in their little black hearts.
Older_Wiser

Now that she's been exposed by the press in the "48" I'm just wondering how embarrassed voters in AK feel, having elected essentially a con artist for governor? I'd be thinking recall, impeachment (there's evidence) or something, for chrissakes...

OT: woman screams "He's a NIGGER!" at Palin/McCain rally, and don't tell me she didn't f#cking hear it
-She doesn't take criticism lightly -She is very defensive -She keeps an enemies list.
I think the most damaging thing about Palin is that she doesn't know critical thinking. She comes across as a backstabbing follower, who tends to see anyone with the basketball as the enemy, because she wants the basketball. When she gets the basketball, she doesn't know what to do with it..

Let's face it, Sarah says in plain words what Republicans hold in their hearts to be true . What she has to say is often rude and uninformed and presented with a mocking cruelty that are the unveiled values of the Republican Party. They are embarassed to hear what she says because they are striving for diplomatic wording and the kinds of cautionary veils that make them sound like decent people. They are not decent people. They are Republicans. Sarah helps the process by cutting directly to the inner malice of the Republican Party and everyone who votes for any Repubican ever. IMHO

But voting for a man that has association with people of the likes of Rashid Khalibi,, Ayers, Kaliba Mansour, Rezco, Wright who hate America is decent..Pleeeeezzzzz give us all a break..The only indecency here is not looking at the reality of the truth...Nothing better than to hope on empty promises and empt rhetoric from a man that is an Anti-American Supporter! yet you will get angry at what I am saying. then why does he has such associations..to date he has not wanted to answer the questions..Wonder why..could it be dishonesty and indecency? you know since you are pointing the finger of a Lady that has 84% approval rating in her State of Alaska who obviously has more executive experience than Obama//So give us all a break! c;lose your eyes to the reality of who and what Obama is.. The bottom line with the approval rating of Bush why is this race so close..your boy has not been able to close the deal..he may win for everyone wants change..but the the WRIGHT CHANGE IS NOT WHAT AMERICAN NEEDS AND THAT IS THE RISK WE WILL HAVE WITH OBAMA...

I don't think she is a blithering idiot. She has run Alaska as a pretty pragmatic governor. However her ambition is making her look like a blithering idiot in a job she is not qualified for in one iota...
If she had a little bit of humility and turned down McCain's offer to be VP, she wouldn't be ridicule. It is coming obvious that she hasn't either study the issues or read her briefing books. The Katie Couric Interview was the most obvious. Everyone who tried to bluff their way through a pop quiz, or answer a question in class that they had no idea what they were talking about, knows what Palin was trying to do with the Couric Interviews.
I think Tina Fey said it best that the Palin material writes itself.

Alaska--you mean the Soviet Republic of Alaska, don't you? Palin has used oil, a natural resource, and bribed the people of AK with money she extorted from the oil companies that were authorized to drill there. Seems that oil should belong to all 50 states, not just AK. Where's our cut? And why is she so eager to exploit the natural resources of AK at the expense of global warming, something she doesn't believe in anyway?
The Palin family itself got almost $24,000 last year from oil revenues, not to mention the salary Todd made before he quit BP and his employment history there is a bit sketchy.
okojo
All the Alaska Governors used the dividend checks as bribery to the residence of Alaska, whether it is Tony Knowles or Sarah Palin. The corruption and conflict of interest is pretty non partisan in Alaska.
Much like drilling in the Arctic Refuge is non partisan up in Alaska, no Alaskan Politician is going to be against it.
The stuff coming out about Palin's chicaneries as Governor of Alaska are disturbing and make her looks as bad as former Gov. Murkowski. I think she is not going to have a fun time running for re-election in 2010. I wouldn't be surprise she has a tough primary opponent.
Older_Wiser
Well, true about the oil rebates, but she's the one who has bragged most about it (you'd think she did it singlehandedly). And I repeat: we're paying those high prices, too, the majority is in the 48 and HI, and we don't get any relief...and AK doesn't even have an income tax, either. Really, she shouldn't even be discussing Obama's tax plan and calling it socialist.
okojo
I agree with you, and she can be loved in Alaska, because oil prices enrich the State coffers, so she didn't to piss off too many people to no ends, compare to Murkowski's heavy handness.

pragmatic? i submit you do a little more research. she was/is a disaster. cronyism, corruption. she left wassilla in huge debt. the natural gas pipleline was a crony-riddled joke. it's her 'hallmark' but will never be built. abuse of power, etc, etc, etc. search all of JA's post with blithering idiot as the title, that's one place to start.
btw: alaska has fewer citizens than obama represented as a state senator in IL. If she's not a blithering idiot - how could she claim the vp 'runs the senate' ? it's just not possible..
okojo
The Pipeline has been in the legislature for years, and she sort of undid the Gordian Knot on it, whether it was corrupt and obscene or not. I don't think it is a bad deal, however it may not be fulfilled or completed given the five major oil companies in Alaska may obstruct it.
I am not condoning Governor Palin's antics in rewarding cronies, but this is what politicians do, especially in Alaska. Alaska is a very isolated incestuous political state to start with.
Palin can run Alaska pragmatically, because she is not going to get a huge backlash from Right wing social conservative groups because they don't have the power in Alaska as they do in other states.
However, Palin may have problems from this Nov to 2010 running Alaska. She will be under a microscope from Social Conservatives in the lower 48, so she can't veto banning same sex couples benefits, and she can't take potshots against Exxon as she has done in the past.. Alaskan aren't going to like a Right Wing robot in the mold of Michelle Bachmann or Deborah Pryce. I think she is not gong to have a very fun time governing in Juneau and Wasilla for the next two years.

Now Saint Sarah and Elizabeth Saddleback are saying that criticisms of her wardrobe are SEXIST! Oh, my! Sexist! You could never accuse the Republican Party of THAT, now, couldya? I mean, look how good they been with women's rights all these years. As long as you're a woman without a vagina or sex drive, the Republicans are all for us regular gals! Say it ain't so, Joe! If I woulda known I would be in so much hot water over this, me and First Dude Todd woulda got that bigass 60" plasma, too, and charged it to the RNC. My, Bullwinkle would look so cool on a plasma! And think of how nice it'll be to watch baby videos of Bristol's little bastard, dontcha know! And how come I'm supposedly from Alaska but speak in this cheesy Wisconsin accent? Of course, next time they wanna buy me any Valentinos or Calvins or Chanels I'll just say, "thanks, but no thanks!" OT McCain now speaking in OH. I have heard his talking points so many times I can recite them. "I have served my country since I was 17 years old and I have the scars to prove it." "I have been tested, Obama has not." "I have fought for you most of my life." "My friends....I know you are worried. We cannot let the Democrats control."
This man is pathetic. He is not and never will be the passionate speaker Obama is. He tries but lacks a lot. Jack Kemp is standing behind him, expressionless, probably knows McCain is lying and hasn't a snowball's chance.
WTF, the brunette on MSNBC, I forget her name, just said the race is neck and neck!!! All the polls they have been showing this morning show Obama way ahead in the polls, national and state.

I don't know about all of you but there are certain things that completely END THE ARGUMENT for me. Like OJ and the White Bronco Chase; That was IT, game over, nothing more to discuss. I didn't care what blood was found where, who had what kinda shoes, what glove did or didn't fit... It was OVER with the White Bronco Chase. Period. Because NOBODY can explain that in a way that would EVER make sense to me. The same sorta thing happened here... When Katie Couric asked Sarah Palin for the names of some periodicals she read to inform herself of world news and events, SHE. COULD. NOT. NAME. ONE. MAGAZINE/NEWPAPER! NOT ONE!!! That was it! That was --in my opinion--- Sarah Palin's White Bronco Chase!!! (Although there were others...) But... To be literally UNABLE to name even ONE newsmagazine of ANY kind!!! That was it, my friends. Case closed, stick a fork in 'er, and send her home. And that John McCain SELECTED that maroon as his running mate... Well... That's HIS White Bronco Chase!

Excuse me? Delusional (again)? I would gladly entertain a suggestion from anyone that I might be delusional, but only if that person were to confront me with at least SOME evidence to support it. I didn't state one thing ---not ONE--- that you, I, and the nation could not witness with our own eyes and ears; She said it on national television. When asked to name one ---I repeat, ONE--- publication through which she garnered information on world events, Sarah Palin was flatly UNABLE to do so! Period. End of discussion. (You may recall that, after stumbling over the *difficult* question, she answered with an outrageous, "Er... Um... ALL of them!") This occurrence was documented, discussed, and rightly ridiculed in several fora. So much for *my* being delusional.
Now... For the remainder of your feeble response... "...the rest of us are out to destroy you and your handlers." I'm sure you are. You right-wing freaks are out to destroy a LOT of things. That's pretty much all most of you seem to know; destruction, war, finger-pointing, fear- and hate-mongering, etc... And a LOT or parroting: "socialist!" "Marxist!" "liberal elitist!" "terrorist!" "plumber!" Sarah Palin can't even SPELL "socialist"! You hate-spewing simpleton. If you ever met me face-to-face, the ONLY thing you would destroy is the inside of the britches you'd promptly crap in when I rapidly reacquainted you with your own deep-seeded fears. So you can just stop your vacuous chest-thumping, Nowhere Man.
I restate; ANYONE who attempts to seriously defend Sarah Palin as any sort of reasonable candidate for the office of President of the United States of America ('cause that's what a VP must be prepared to be) is TRULY delusion, at the very least!

As an interested Canadian I have been closely following the American election campaign. I am absolutely stunned that ANYONE would consider Palin as a plausible running mate. What on earth was McCain thinking? To me, she represents everything that the rest of the world considers a threat to them. She strikes me as the type to "Shoot first and ask questions later" and that's the last thing you want considering the present state of the world.

Ed Rollins sounds like he's bucking for a job. All you have to do is look at this man's facial expression whenever he's interviewed on CNN. I've never seen such a somber, pessimistic puss in my life. He's holding onto his ideology by the fingernails, knowing that it is going down in flames on November 4th. And Rollins knows better than anyone that the Republican Party is going to ditch Sarah Palin faster than a Jamaican sprinter on November 5th. She will be poison to that party, if she isn't already.

Speaking of crazy talk and its appeal among certain personality types: Once upon a time there was a ex-corporal and house painter who was good with children and dogs. He had a girl friend named Eva and dog named Wolf. He gave crazy talk speeches that appealed to the nasty in every German and they all shouted and yelled their hearts out. They elected him chancellor and he did exactly what he told them he would do. Everything was fine for almost a decade and then it all fell apart. That's what crazy talk gets you.
