Are you looking for an issue here? All of those peeps are going to be gone soon. It's the way the world works... Who's going to care if their names were pronounced correctly?

"It's the way the world works..."-
And what...? No room for improvement? If they feel the need for finding adversaries, it might be nice if they knew their enemies, otherwise they're going to get their asses whipped. Oh, BTW That's our collective asses!

Dear Citizen: Are you ready yet for the November 4th Elections? How about your friends, family, and neighbors? More Americans are expected to vote this year than ever before in history, so don’t be left out! Be sure to ask everyone you know the following questions: Are you registered to vote? If you moved recently, have you updated your voter registration? Did you apply for an Absentee Ballot? Do you know your state may not require any reason? Can you find your local Polling Place? Do you know it may have changed from last time? The answers to these questions -- and all your voting needs -- can be found at www.StateDemocracy.org -- the FREE 1-Stop citizen empowerment portal that Delivers Democracy to your Desktop! StateDemocracy is among the Internet’s first (since 2001) and most encompassing civic empowerment tools. In order to boost voter participation this year, StateDemocracy.org is offering FREE widgets for all 50 states. You can simply download and embed these widgets into your own website so your visitors can register to vote, get an absentee ballot or find their local polling place. Lobby Congress Via StateDemocracy StateDemocracy.org also equips you to maintain an active dialog with your state and federal lawmakers once they are elected. And RIGHT NOW is an especially opportune time to contact your U.S. Senators and House Member, as Congress takes up major legislation on such issues as offshore oil drilling, another economic stimulus package and all federal appropriations bills over the next few weeks. As you lobby your elected officials, remember that lawmakers view your constituent input as reflective of scores of other citizens who felt similarly, but didn’t have (or take) the time to share their opinions. If I were going to mention someone's name on national television, you had better believe I would know how to pronounce it. That's Public Speaking 101. Even a four year Journalist major would have taken that class.

I am totally with you on that. There is no excuse. Personally, I still do not know whether it's "Ack-mad-in-e jad" or Ah-mad-ine-jad" What's the answer, good lookin?

I am pretty sure it's the first. But, I would ask an Iranian to pronounce it for me before going on TV.

I only know one Iranian (he escaped with his family when the "Peacock Throne" went under) But, like you, I would definitely ask his advice on such a basic point as pronunciation. Excellent point that you made.

Real, patriotic, God-fearin', flag-wavin', arugula-hatin', gun-brandishin' Murkins don't need to know how to pronounce them damn Ay-rab names. Only the pointy-headed, pencil-necked, Georgetown Chablis-drinkin' Foggy Bottom elites do that sheeyit. Real Murkins just need to know: Eye-rack, Eye-ran, Ay-rab, Al Kyduh, Ock-mah-dinnah-jad, and Bin Lah-din. And bomb-bomb-bomb Eye-ran!

We are 'murkins.....Bush, McCain and Palin are merkins--Something false to hide the scars of a disease. In Dubya's case it takes on an ironic double meaning.

Four year degree; it took her six years and five colleges. I forgot. :)

She probably had severe writer's cramp -- or was it brain cramps -- that delayed her matriculation.

Maybe McCain is right; Bomb, Bomb Iran. Simplistic and to the heart of the prob....

And if the aforementioned enemy decides to go ....preemptive and nukes an American city...? Simplistic and to the heart of the prob....

That's a concrete problem with which we know how to deal.

I don't blame the Iranian people for a few loons working as mouth pieces in their country any more than I blame the Americans for the few loons working as mouth pieces here in the United States.

Sarah Palin claims to have a degree in Communication-Journalism which makes her screwup on McKiernan's name even stranger. She clams to have minored in Poli Sci but I would love to see her transcripts to see if she actually graduated and what she actually studied in---ahem--the 6 colleges she attended in 6 years:
CNN had a blurb on Hockey moms in support of Palin. One said she was just like her and she could be VP. Here is the problem with these people, they are so ignorant, they don't know how ignorant they really are.

Two words come to mind when I think of McCain/Palin: "Dunning Kruger"

She is so incredibly daft that it's a wonder she made it as far as she did.
Meanwhile, new PSA out for Obama. It's hysterical and frightening all at the same time
It's always been my contention that if you can't string words into a coherent sentence or if you are unable to phonetically pronounce a word or name (in their cases they had time to rehearse the names), there is some cognitive failure going on.

Sound and fury signifying McInsanity and Palignorance.
This is a pretty good video on McCain and his noneconomics

Who's really surprised that Palin is a dummy? That's a republican trademark - dumb but cunning. Let's play another game, let's count the wrinkles on McCain's face.
