McShrub and Shrub will never be on the same stage. The "base scum" will understand so still vote for him. They're "pragmatic" about destroying the country.

I didn't know if anyone realized this before but last night I was thinking about it and realized that the reason the fundies still support bush unconditionally is because they believe bush is annointed by god and that in the end, it will be as they believe? That because it's "all god" with this, it will be proved right? No matter what, it could eventually wind up with nuclear winter with us digging through the rubble among the corpses for an undigested bean and the 29%ers will still support him. After all, god will sweep in, wave his magic wand and everything will be as green and clear as it was before.

Dear God, did you hear that Charlie Crist, the known-to-be-gay governor of Florida is planning to get married now so he can run for VP with old "8 Homes" McCain?
There are way too many people out there who will testify to knowing that Crist is gay to make this ruse work. Pitiful. I guess he'll need to confer with Larry Craig on shoe tapping techniques from now on.

I wonder if he believes the fundie wingnuts will vote for that ticket with a name that sounds like christ because he knows they're that stupid? What is the other explanation with this obvious ploy?

Wingnut vote will be nonexistent because their heads will explode if Crist is the VP nominee.....

I think they're more "pragmatic." I once had one from the ADL, locally, after being defeated on some national issue, tell me, and it's haunted me ever since about part of the idiot human condition--matter of factly he said, "We're undeterred."
Well, carry on, I say. We don't have nearly the money they have but it helps with being right. Be pragmatic all you want. We're undeterred, too.

Charlie Crist continues the drumbeat of Republican hypocrisy. Can they fool the people yet once again, or, if that fails, steal yet another election?

"Grit their teeth, but take the money."
Isn't that what whores do?

A more appropriate metaphor would have been: "lie back and think of the White House." John McCain has turned his back on every principle and ideal that he ever claimed to have. It doesn't matter much whether he's sold his soul for a shot at the presidency, or whether he's just revealing his true nature, Either way, very few people will vote for him.
So, his campaign is falling back on the tried-and-true Republican tactic of painting his opponent as the greater of two evils and asking people to vote against his opponent rather than for John McCain.

If McCain is The Maverick, does that make Crist The Mare?

Crist is the frontier wench.
That's a grody to the max visual.

The whore media is fevered with a desire to smear Mr. Obama with imaginary flipflopperies similar but unlike the concrete ones pioneered by McStain and, of course, the incompetitant Team Bush failures. What a shame so few have faith in the corporatized narcotic alkaloid cognoscenti call news product. Additionally, I'm weary of Johnny's calm, Paxil voice...mebbe Cindy should switch to uppers.

Isn't it interesting that McShrub is obvious about his flip flopping but is totally unconcerned about it being reported in the msm? He knows they're in his pocket and thinks the American people are total idiots. That's what I don't even have to intuit.

Crist has had numerous face jobs, not that there's anything wrong with that...

Why is it that such a presidential disaster as is George Bush can raise so much Republican $$$$$? This has to tell you what exactly these Republican donors are backing for the next ___years.

Suddenly there came up out of the river seven cows, fine looking and fat; and they fed in the meadow. Then behold, seven other cows came up after them out of the river, ugly and gaunt, and stood by the other cows on the bank of the river. And the ugly and gaunt cows ate up the seven fine looking and fat cows.

I totally fucked up the 4th. Was going to BBQ and then started drinking rum yesterday and everything went out the window. Slept for over 12 hours or something. Still all marinated in the fridge, though.

Here Comes the GOP 527s...... Once again Obama shows he knows what he is talking about........
Next week, Vets for Freedom -- 20,000-member, nonpartisan organization established by combat veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan – plans to begin spending more than $1 million on a TV campaign that will include Ohio, Virginia and New Mexico.
The group plans to spend millions more and to add other states to the roster.
The ad, the largest independent expenditure on a national-security theme in the general election so far, features a number of vets speaking about the success of the surge and the need to finish the job.
