Assclowns of the Week #69: Omission Accomplished Edition, is out. Don't be surprised to see that McCain made almost half of the 11 spots.

Since all the collagen injections and Botox®, Johnny's become excessively and culpably desirous of Cindy's make-up and certain of her sluttier cowgirl outfits...

And his answer is odd: "There's people here that don't respect that kind of language."

What the hell does that mean?
  • BorninUSA · 1 year ago
Something bad has happened to McCain. He is a sick man. Physically and mentally. Can't the repug faithful see this? Can't the media who so love McCain see this? If they can't, we are screwed. The faithful and the media are determined to get McCain elected.

And by the way, speaking of the media. What happened to David Schuster? Before he was exiled for speaking about the Clinton family he was a pretty straight shooter. Now it seems he has been put on the rack and can only repeat and repeat the repug talking points. And he is seen to be hanging out with Scarborough. Where did they take him while he was gone? What did they do to him? He is a stepford clone of his original self.

Maybe MSNBC will put that on an endless loop. Maybe there'll be a debate where half of the questions are about that incident. Maybe NPR can seriously discuss all the implications of asking McCain that question every day for two weeks.

Maybe McCain should give a speech about it.

The original post is so awkwardly worded as to suggest that you think that a "normal, innocent man" would react in the way McCain did. Is it just me, JA?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know many men (or women for that matter) who would use such language, ESPECIALLY when speaking to their "other half" in PUBLIC!

It was more a question of grammar, P_T.

Yeah, well, I'm a normal, innocent man, and I HATE people who don't respect that kind of language. Somebody should smash them in their pretty little faces, taking care not to leave marks or get makeup or blood on their hands, in case they ever want to run for President, like. I'm just sayin' John.

    WWHMSD?

What would Hillary Mellon Scaife do?
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Busboy,
I know you are a regular sort of guy, so do you use that type of language when speaking to your "better half"?
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Busboy,
Or is that actually how you speak to woman in general?

Come on, I don't know for sure, but I do have my doubts. Why would you even suggest that when a husband calls his wife a _unt, that APPEALS to the AVERAGE GUY?
    .
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
Republican women love that kind of talk. . .they call it "foreplay."

Oh *stop* it! Because the "normal guy" thinks it's just fine to call women cunts? In that case, I'm all for Gimo'ing the 'average/normal guy.' At least then some good use would be put to that facility.

    -------

Never actually heard a guy call a woman that.

Heard plenty of guys call other guys it, tho.

Well, that speaks volumes then, doesn't it? If the worst thing that one man can think to call another man in a disgusting insult intended to wound a woman beyond all recognition, that pretty much sums up the intended effect when a man actually deigns to hurl it at a another man doesn't it?

    Come on, Polly, you misinterpreted.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It would not have been the first time I misinterpreted, that is why I asked.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Busboy,
    --------------------------------
So sorry if I started a landslide here, but your phrasing was really a bit upsetting, especially given your "Republican" leanings. Yes, I know that is a biased thing to pin on Repubs and you are right; but these days it just seems more fitting.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Busboy,
    -----------------------------------------------------
Without going into all sorts of things, let it just be said that many (most) women have gone through all heck and have many rotten things said about them. I know you can't Identify with what I (and others) are saying here, but trust me when I say that misogyny exists and it SUCKS!

    ----

    Not defending it.

I'm just tellin' ya where I've heard it.

(And saying I disagree with BusBoy's contention that "regular guys" direct that word toward women.)
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Busboy,
Try to imagine saying something really racist, then think about what a comparable thing might be if said to women.

That's about as far as I will go on this subject tonight, but you need to understand there are true haters out there (and I am being all too kind by phrasing it thus).
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
I need to go eat...ba bye Busboy.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Is Cliff Schecter trying to pony up the sympathy vote for McCain? How rude...
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
I guess now we'll have to ask Hillary if she ever called Bill a "dick" and Obama if he ever called Michelle a hot taco? Inquiring minds want to know!...
  • Laurel · 1 year ago
Busboy, Are you seriously suggesting that there is any real parity between the effects of the insults 'dick" and 'cunt?' Although, I've been hanging around these parts long enough to know that the answer to that question might actually be a 'yes'. Still doesn't make me happy or think that you have a grasp of reality.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
McCain has obviously attended "temper tantrum" seminars. He's coasting to the white house on a float made from the tanned skins of nosy reporters...
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
The question and response made McCain look good to the average guy.
  • Laurel · 1 year ago
And, when was the last time you got laid? Because, give this comment, I'm thinking it would be fitting if the answer was 'never.' In any event, you deserve a 'never again' if you're purporting to represent the 'average guy.'
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Come on, Polly, you misinterpreted. I meant that by asking the question; they pissed off any normal guy.
  • Laurel · 1 year ago

Laurel, you need to stick it. At least you have one more opotion than we do....
