AMERICAblog: McCain believes in the Bush economy. Well, if you can believe what McCain says.

You tell on THIS WEEK, McCain is not liking being interviewed by George. When McCain doesn't like the question...he has that smile that you know deep in side he's ready to rip George's head off.
And you can tell McCain didn't like being told he has had healthcare ( Government HEalth Care) all his life.

I totally believe him. After all, he's a multi-millionaire (Not through any effort of his own - other than whatever it was he did to snag Cindy, who never did anything to earn her money either)
Why wouldn't he believe in the Bush economy?

Don't worry, he'll say he's opposed to it tomorrow. By Thursday he'll be believing in it again.

1. McCain hates being told he has had government healthcare all his life. 2. McCain hated being told that Elizabeth Edwards said McCains policy would not cover him or her. 3. McCain speaks faster and throws numbers and diverts from the actually question with other topics when he's not comfortable with the topic. 4. McCain says "my friend" to try and get the other person to lighten the tone of the question/comversation.

McCain says he and American people get bitter?
McCain said this morning on ABC This Week With George Stephanopoulos, a morning on which the banner headline in the Washington Post reads: McCain: A Question of Temperament. "Do I get angry from time to time, when I'm investigating Mr. Abramoff, when I see they're ripping off Indian tribes?'' McCain said. "The American people get angry too.
'yellow journalism' does not begin to describe them given damage caused by their irresponsibility
Print is another matter tho mebbe not so much with transmission over the public-created Internets but TV journalism can be forced via regulation and the opinion of viewers who follow regulatory procedure to serve the public/community interest and to stop the name-calling and unsourced rumor. All the big name pundits are just like the military experts unmasked in the NYT...they may not consult with the militaryindustrialcomplex but they do lucratively speak to assemblies of their employees on a regular basis where one might have to trim sails to maintain the various relationships... FYI--Stephie's roundtable sounded like an AA meeting in their tangential discussion of the debate fiasco.
Why won't McCain release all of his and his wife's tax information? What is McCain hiding. Do you really trust this man?

McCain wobbles because of this: He's old. He knows he hasn't much time left. He wants his legacy to be that he was president. He doesn't care about the country, or the people - he just wants to be in the history books.
That's why he's trying to be everything to everybody. Like Bush, he'd be pitiful if what he was doing because of his emotional issues wasn't so global.

One other thing: I remember reading somewhere, probably during my ill-fated college ROTC experiment - that once a soldier has been released from being a prisoner of war, they are discharged, on the theory that they have been damaged mentally, and won't be able to be an effective soldier anymore.
If that's true, why are we evening considering this "war hero"?

John, any chance you could rerun your appearance on Horrible Howie's show? My TV was tied up with crap at the time...(in other words, a male had control of the remote).
It sounds good!

Ever since Ronald Reagan famously asked Americans in 1980 if they were better off now than four years, answering the question has been a pre-requisite for aspiring White House hopefuls. This week, Republican nominee John McCain twice tried to supply a response. His changing answers of "yes" and "no" on consecutive days set a new flip-flopping record, even for John McCain.
No matter how you play it, "trickle up," does not work. The economy can only get stronger if the capitalists gain confidence and start to invest again, and electing a tax and spend Democrat, who has no respect for business is not a good way to accomplish that. As to be better off, we are certainly better off than we were on September 12, 2002, when the economy took a one trillion dollar hit. We came back. Why? Because of the tax-cuts and other economic policies of George W. Bush. Rant and rave all you wish, that is the fact.

John you were great! Congratulations.
Both the debate and the military analyst issues point to what I have been complaining about for 6 years now: The decline and fall of the 'fourth estate.' If this decline continues, we should consider evaluating the importance of laws protecting the press. They have abdicated their role in providing oversight.
The term 'yellow journalism' does not begin to describe them given damage caused by their irresponsibility and complicity with the Bush administration.
