Behave or no in flight moose sandwich and potato chips...

    Oh, and those polls:

Gallup's tracking poll, USA Today and CBS News all show the Republicans with some kind of lead over the Democratic ticket. But, interestingly, all three polls were also conducted using a higher sampling of Republican voters

Hey??? This feels like Fannie Mae socialism...

the fashion gene comes from the mother, so don't hold that against her. Apparently the arrogance gene came from the father. And lucky little lady got a double on the clueless gene, one from both sides.

Obama's camp hits back hard at a new McCain ad criticizing his support, in the Illinois State Legislature, for sex ed beginning in kindergarten:

“It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls – a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn’t define what honor was. Now we know why,” says Obama spokesman Bill Burton in an emailed statement.

McCain Campaign plays journalists for fools because they are. We can't expect the media to actually become something they are not. They are talking heads. They are not more informed than the average american, we just imagine they do the research, dig deep for a story and do the things that the Cronkites, Jennings of the world learned by travelling the world to cover stories. They have perfected the art of reading what is written for them just as Sarah Palin has. She read a speech written by someone else. That is all she has ever done.
Look, Charles Gibson has never investigated and then broken a story, Stephanopolus was an apologist for Clinton, O'Reilly is a vulgar, rude, bigot. This is not journalism it is McCarthyism. Brit Hume might actually be human if he took the pickle out of his ass and admited he is a blow hard with no actual knowledge of anything. We the people don't demand anything of our media or for that matter our politicians. They lie at will, cover up, commit all manner of crimes and we laugh and giggle and say they have a sweet ass or look like a MILF. America acts like a 15 year old with his first erection.
What the Blogs have the power to do is to get information out quickly. We need to use this and other Blogs to go after the media for not doing their job, for using bias and bigotry instead of reporting the facts, just the facts. If our country is to survive we all need to be able to read and hear the truth and we should all be allowed to sift that and form opinions. Instead we have a system which allows everyone to lie with no accountability without any danger of that lie being corrected.

You're wasting your breath. Liberals have controlled public education for over 40 years. They wanted stupid, governmentally dependent graduates. Instead, they got stupid minimum wage workers who, for some reason want to vote Republican. Go figure......
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
No, the lack of education started under Regan and has continued to your boy's No Child's Behind is Left. It started with Republicans not wanting to go to school with minorities and getting vouchers and continues today.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Minorities are the ones who would most benefit from a voucher system because their kids are the ones being most cheated by the public education system.
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
another great republican lie. Were you afraid your kids might learn somehting about the Arts instead of the Art of lying and stealing or was it that you thought your kids were to good to rub elbows with us ordinary assholes. How can a minority benefit from a voucher when they still have to get past the old, white school administration to get in. Egads you people actually believe the bullshit you shovel.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
You really don't know shit from shinola. Apparently you never have had any kids and don't know what hell it is for your kid to be chained to a public school where he or she has no chance to get a decent education.
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Actually ass wipe I have two children. My son graduated with a Masters in Math and Computer Science from Stamford. My daughter has a Phd and dances for the London Ballet. Both are products of the public school. Unlike you I took part in their education and made sure they appreciated the arts not the art of deception.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Stamford or Stanford? Oh, and don't ever assume. You know why...
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
that's a hoot. show me where there was ever a concerted, intentional effort to turn out stupid, governmentally dependent graduates. where do you get this stuff?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
I had kids in public school. Finally gave up and sent the last one to private school where all the public school teachers sent their kids.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
You know, bus old boy, some things cannot be boiled down to a couple of single syllable, alliterative talk radio nostrums.
Remember Lincoln...The guy uneducated Rethugs love to call their party's founder?
Well, he did something people can still do today, all unions and bureaucracies aside...Read.
    Mr. Lincoln was self-taught...an autodidact.
Amazingly, lots of people do it to this very day.
We older queers, and I include Mr. Lincoln, were blessed with feelings that placed us outside the noodling social matrix that hobbles so many standard issues and many of us sought refuge in, of all things, books...And you thought I was going to say manly crotches. Abe would have said it...he loved a good dirty story.

Are you an older one by choice or genetic disposition? Just asking for your opinion; not for a scientific analysis.....

Try making sense sometime...Such a bitter thing for a conservative, wife on your sleeve non gay type crashing a liberal gay blog space. You're hot for me, I can tell...You animal!
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
This isn't a liberal gay blog. It's a liberal blog whose captain happens to be gay. You been drinking koolaid again?
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Is that what you tell yourself bent all sweaty over your stained computer?
  • jusme · 1 year ago
Amen! All that I have read that you wrote on this blog I wish I could say it originated in my head. You are truly good. Keep giving those conservatives what they deserve. They actually believe there are no informed, intelligent liberals. That shows they really are just so stupid to ignore the fact that most of the brains are in the heads of liberals

If Sarah Palin is not ready to take questions from journalist (the 4th estate), Ms. Palin is not ready to be a Vice President and potentially becoming President.
  • RobertSanDimas · 1 year ago
Man, every time I see those two, I get more creeped out. Anybody else? Sort of daddy/high school girlish? (I don't usually sink to this, folks, but just couldn't help it.)
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
you mean together like this, or maybe this, how about this....

yeah, pretty creeped out.... he's touched Ms. Palin more intimately more often in the last 2 weeks than he's touched his WIFE in the last 4 years... although I'm not sure it's progressed to the point where he feels comfortable screaming "you c^nt" at her.... maybe next week if she keeps sucking his crowds away.

and this is different from the newly instituted policy on his own plane exactly HOW?

McLiar has been in a snit with his base since this summer....
  • jwarner · 1 year ago
Since when does the media choose who our next president and vice president will be? When the time is right, Palin will speak to the press. If you want to hear what she has to say, then attend the rallies that she and McCain speak at. This is the first time I have ever seen so much hoopla about a vice presidential candidate. The Democrats must be really worried about her and the change she can bring to the election. When the Democrats speak of inexperience in the #2 spot, why don't they look at the inexperience of their #1 candidate, the Presidency.
When Obama speaks of change in Washington and then picks a 30+ veteran of the same old, same old government in his choice of VP, what does that say of Obama and change?
I am afraid to say that Obama and the Democrats are going to lose this election and it won't even be close, not matter what the 'polls' say.
I was going to vote Democrat but after watching the DNC and the RNC and listening to the what each party has to offer, the Republicans with McCain and Palin have my vote and the votes of my family.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
jwarner, really? And which of the lies told by McCain's campaign sold you?
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
"when the time is right"? for the first time in modern history, the time isn't right when the candidate is nominated?
what's wrong with finding ANY candidate's flaws?
    what made you switch?
  • gumbygirl · 1 year ago
You sir, are an idiot. When you can coherently explain why McCain's experience is valid, but Joe Biden's is not, then maybe the intelligent people here will be interested in your opinion. Obviously you can't, so go away-grown-ups are talking.
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
good we don't want your vote
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
no, I want to hear what this guy has to say because there was NOTHING in either speech regarding what the "parties" have to offer. There was a speech about what a candidate had to offer and a speech of cliches.

honestly, I don't believe he really listened to either of them.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Another hit and run dumbass. I am sure he/she is a McCain shill.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
that last-minute conversion BS is so old. but you get a half point for the "votes of my family too" variation. do the lot of you have just one brain? it seems to be stretched a little thin.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Aw, so touching...The family that prays together...votes together...pays $10 a gal gas together...and lives in the cardboard box together. Say hallelujah!
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
When you are moved around fast, like those two, you can't hear the word "liar" being yelled by the crowds. It just sounds like the rush of the wind.
  • jwarner · 1 year ago
Name calling? And you are grown ups? You are all ready to support people's 'rights' as long as they agree with you. But once they don't, then it's 'off with his head!' How patriotic! Come on people. This is America, freedom of speech and all.
So lynchie, you don't want my vote. I am the one who you should be trying to convince to get my vote, otherwise me and a whole bunch of others like me will be voting for our next president....Mr. Johh McCain and our vice president...Mrs. Sarah Palin.
I love America! You people make this so much fun!
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
No patriot, someone who really loves this country, would vote for Bush lite.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Which of our "freedoms" did you mind losing under Bush? Any? McCain is Bush, same policies, same economic ideas, even the same handlers and campaign managers. Good grief, do you people never learn?

Daddy got baby boy airplane to play War Hero, baby boy screw it up. Baby boy impressed with his accomplishments. Who is baby boy?
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
This shows just how bad McCain's judgment is...he chooses a VP without real consideration whether or not she will be capable of stepping into his shoes, if the need arises. He has not given a single thought to this country in his VP pick.
It was all about himself, and how good she would look in the campaign trail.
It was also about pleasing the base. To hell with the needs of the country.
I hope and pray this shrill, lying shrew, NEVER becomes the VP of this country.
One Cheney is enough for the rest of our lives.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
It's over unless Biden can come off the ropes and make Sarah look like a whackjob. Obama has definitely lost steam. The press is having to choose their picture angles to make it look like he has an audience. The "My Muslim religion" quote will probably be in a Republican ad next week. Ghastly, Freudian slipping, desperate remarks that Obama needs to quit making on the campaign trail.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Get some fresh air bussie...You're stale!
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Stale? Some of you "people" better get to your candidate and give him some backbone or he's finished. Talk about dead men walking.... Have you been listening to any of the comments about his campaign appearances? Maybe the Clintons really do have the goods on him and are prepping to smear him. Maybe that's why he's lost heart.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Bussie, sweetie...You've been crying "the sky is falling" for, what, years now?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
After today (tuesday), the Clintons may not even need their anti-Obama ordnance... just sayin....
  • baker · 1 year ago
I am willing to bet Sarah Palin will not serve one day as vp /the Repubilcans will use her to get elected if Mccain wins come January she will be back in Alaska saying my family needs me more and Joe liberman will become VP to mccain this is all a set up they know she is not qualified to run this country if somthing happens to Mccain, that is why she wont' give off the cuff interviews. Until these right wing christians and other republican dummies get through their head you cannot govern based on personal values like abortion. a woman who decide to have abortion will not keep americans from losing their homes and jobs. Does the killing of pregnant women and children in war fit in the pro-life equation ?this election is about policys for future generations remember you are not hurting obama if you dont' vote for him he is a senator his life will go on but i urge you to think, this man is risking his life everyday because he loves this country and want to make it better for all not just the rich. When you vote in november dont vote self interest vote county interest.
  • SoLeftImRight · 1 year ago
I may be wrong, but I don't think Palin has appeared anywhere without John McBush right there. I mean even on stage while she's giving the 20th iteration of her same old, fact-challenged speech. I think they even let Dan Quayle out to fumble and bumble on his own at some point, right?

  • jusme · 1 year ago
The repubs are merely doing business as usual, it seems. one lie follows the one before it. I have to admit though that they are good at their craft. If McBush and Palin get elected, this country needs to look real close in the mirror. It has to be the racial issues that keep voters from choosing them over the democratic ticket!
