There's always a surprise lurking in the McSame camp. And they always seem to uncover another lie.

WOW. Although it probably won't stop McCain/Rove/Palin, et al.,

Sio what's this about Senators Dodd and Obama taking all the money from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and causing this mess on Wall Street? Here we go, McInsane doing what he does best. AGAIN!

actually... PHIL GRAMM's softening barriers separating the banking/insurance/credit industries CAUSED this.
let's see... mcsame's been there going on three decades... Obama's been there what, two terms?
his inexperience was supposed to be a mcsame attack point.
so, mcsame has the experience... and he STILL didn't see what was going on? or have the foresight to see that the regulations were put in place for a REASON?
yeah, that's the guy that's going to bail us out of this mess alright.

As Joe and I always say, it's about projection - the GOP accuses us of what they do.
Sarah Palin has picked out an All-American set of names for her children. There's Track, Trig, Bristol, Willow, and Piper.
Ever wonder, What would your name be if Sarah Palin was your mother? Well now you can find out!
I am now Lock Pepper Palin! Let me introduce my husband, Stockyard Mudslide Palin, an our sons are Cue Manhunt Palin, Stepper Choke Palin, Beretta Hockey Palin and our daughter Copper Catfish Palin. It's been a long week and I needed the laugh!

We need to purge, with utter ruthlessness, all the Reagan-era College Republicans from American democracy in order to preserve our beloved Constitutional democracy. Abramoff is a good start. Davis should be next. And Rove, of course, should be tried for treason.

Treason is too kind. Send him to Georgia....RUSSIA! Let him keep Putin company for awhile.

Also, adviser Randy S. was under $contract$ with the Georgian gov't when the conflict with Russia occurred. I fear that McCain's advisers are willfully creating discord in the new world order so McCain can ride in on a magic white horse during the late October push and... Say it ain't so, Karl.

That Rick Davis is a real loser. No wonder he is a Rove protege.

Any plans by Obama to use this? Dunno. He ought to, or a 527 should, on his behalf.
Any chance that McCain's groupies in the news media will pick up on this? None.
“...the Associated Press retracted two government-issued photographs last night after a photographer in Texas alerted the agency that the photos in question appeared to be doctored.” The photos depicted two U.S. soldiers, Staff Sgt. Darris Dawson and Sgt. Wesley R. Durbin, who both died in Iraq on September 14. Between the two photos, only the name, rank, and face of each soldier changes."

Help! I am looking for a short document or video that introduces Senator Obama to people who are believing the garbage that hate radio pushes. These are not big information voters but they are starting to think more seriously about not supporting McCain and need a little push. Slowly but surely we have convinced all of the republicans in my extended family to support him this year and now some of them want to share information with their friends and coworkers. I don't want to overload them, I just want a quick and easy introduction. I have already suggested they visit his website to watch his acceptance speech and tune in to the debates. Any one have an information sheet they can share? What information do you send to low information voters who are considering Obama?

The only purpose of tying Obama to Raines was so that the McCain camp could run that racist ad showing two black men together and make them look as sinister as possible and imply that they are preying on elderly white women.
McCain either does not care or is not equipped mentally enough to know about Rick Davis.

When I listen to some Republicans talk I get the feeling that they really want to say that this is a private matter and it has nothing to do with us and we should stay out of their business and go shopping or just go away. Look how simple it was for McCain, all he could do was blame it on Obama and threaten to fire people that he could not fire and Bush acted like it was another disaster like Katrina or 9-11 that no-one could have anticipated (unless you get warnings and ignore them). Bush still takes no responsibility for this mess maybe he is as stupid as he acts.

I would love to see an ad on this all over the airwaves in a couple days. Let Obama look Presidential in the next couple days and bipartisan which he did. A number of talking heads today thought McCain looked foolish attacking Obama when Obama was so Presidential and Bipartisan. He looked great - the way a leader should. Then start hitting McCain over the head with this as an ad. Then maybe a 527 will start in with an ad on The Keating 5. I know I say this everyday, but you know the Rethugs would never have let it go if the shoe were on the other foot.

Wow. One thing I'd say about McCain: when he's in a glass house, he doesn't just throw a stone, he sprays automatic gunfire. No wonder he needs so many houses.

Let's see...Obama raked in $126,349 from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for his good favors (i.e. lack of federal regulation), and ranks as the #2 recipient of monies from them for the 20 year period going from 1989 to present...despite only being in the senate for the short time he has been. So Obama himself, not his chief of staff, helped get us into the crisis we're in today.

It is more than Rick Davis. I posted this about 7 hours ago.
# McCain wants to talk about lobbyist and the Fannie Mae fiasco. Let's talk.
"And other current McCain campaign staffers were the lobbyists receiving shares of that money. According to the Senate Lobbying Database, the lobbying firm of Charlie Black, one of McCain’s top aides, made at least $820,000 working for Freddie Mac from 1999 to 2004. The McCain campaign’s vice-chair Wayne Berman and its congressional liaison John Green made $1.14 million working on behalf of Fannie Mae for lobbying firm Ogilvy Government Relations. Green made an additional $180,000 from Freddie Mac. Arther B. Culvahouse Jr., the VP vetter who helped John McCain select Sarah Palin, earned $80,000 from Fannie Mae in 2003 and 2004, while working for lobbying and law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP. In addition, Politico reports that at least 20 McCain fundraisers have lobbied for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, pocketing at least $12.3 million over the last nine years.
For years McCain campaign manager Rick Davis was head of the Homeownership Alliance, a lobbying association that included Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, real estate agents, homebuilders, and non-profits. According to Politico, the organization opposed congressional attempts at regulation of Fannie and Freddie, along the lines of what John McCain is currently proposing. In his capacity of president of the group, Davis went on record in 2003 and insisted that no further reform of the lenders was necessary, in contradiction to his current boss’s sentiments. “[Fannie and Freddie] are subject to an innovative and stringent risk-based capital stress test,” Davis wrote. “The toughest in the financial services industry.”
"At a campaign rally Wednesday morning in Fairfax, Virginia, John McCain said that the heads of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ought to give back the millions of dollars they’ve earned. What about the lobbyists who helped Fannie and Freddie game the system? Maybe McCain can ask them — at the next campaign strategy meeting"
