AMERICAblog: McCain campaign surrogate invokes the Holocaust

McCain would nuke them too if he thought it would put him in the White House.
  • fostert · 1 year ago
What's worse, Palin would nuke them to fulfill the Book of Revelations.

Palin's released emails suggest that she is driven by a fundamentalist ideology. If she finds a passage in the Bible that can justify bombing Iran or any other country, she needs no further justification.

That's who she is. She's fundamentally crazy. And she's perhaps 8 percentage points in approval rating to be elected to be heir to the White House.

As with Bush in the White House, our country is precariously poised to abandon the Constitution permanently, and to forcibly suppress any mass movement the objectives of which would be to re-install the Constitution as the framework for the nation.

You just knew this was coming. This from the folks who brought you fascism.

These guys will slander and smear everyone and anyone in order to stay in power. They are truly disgusting and dangerous. I still worry most about the Diebold factor.
  • fostert · 1 year ago
I'd say that's way over the line, but the McCain campaign doesn't seem to have a line. What's next? Obama's going to rape your grandmother? It wouldn't surprise me.

    I saw this bit
"And with more bad news on the economic front, McCain was to retreat to his Arizona ranch for the weekend, in a highly unusual disappearing act at the height of the campaign."
Why is he going home? Is he sick?

supposedly to "prepare" for the next debate... my guess it's to cry into his beer...

Hagee is saying that the Jews deserved the Holocaust. Hagee and McCain provide support for one another. McCain does not denounce Hagee's suggestion that Jews deserved the Holocaust.

McCain's campaign has nowhere else to go but low. Are we surprised? These clowns have just supplied the rebuttal for the inevitable Reverend Wright ads.

Can we call Godwin's Law on McSame's campaign?

    Best,

Miss Wasilla punched her ticket as early as 1996 with a flagrantly Jew-baiteen campaign for Mayor, when she had her surrogates claim her opponent, Stein (in actuality a Lutheran), was "of the Hebrew persuasion."

Why is the audio scrambled at the 2:00 minute to 2:03 minute when they're preaching over Sarah Palin? And why does this video cut off before the witchcraft statements are made?

    Hello Everyone,

I need your help!! Please read and spread the word!

A WOMAN was ASSAULTED at a PALIN rally in CA while CNN reports!!!

I just saw the most OUTRAGEOUS thing on CNN! During an interview by Ed Henry from CNN of an actor at the Palin rally in CA site at 12:15 pm east time (11:30 CA time). A lady was holding up an Obama sign. Idiots in red shirts w/ stars on their hats began to crowd around behind the reporter Ed Henry. While Ed was asking questions one of the Palin assholes jerked the sign out of her hand, others pushed her aside and other idiots (in red) rushed in to take her spot to be the back drop while the stupid actor (who supports Palin)talked about bias and limited reporting...or one sided reporting. Go Figure!

They were holding up “Palin’s Law” signs...I’m NOT to sure what that is, but after her comment during the debate about “an expanded role for VP” I think we should ALL start making the media ask more questions and be very nervous of a McCain-Palin ticket in Nov.!

This is an OUTRAGE that she was assaulted in America, on national television and NOONE did nothing...the reporter didn't stop the interview or anything!!! This type of fear and intimidation has to stop. PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE find a way to help spread the word and show the clip and reveal this McCain-Palin ticket for what it is…Fear and Hate!! This can not keep happening in America! We must Demand Change NOW!

Send this or your own words to CNN and Demand for it to be shown ASAP so America and the world will know what a McCain-Palin ticket means and that they at CNN DO NOT condone it. http://www.cnn.com/feedback/tips/index.html

Send this to friends, Obama’s campaign and the Media. PLEASE.

Um...newsflash? We jews DO control Hollywood. At least, the bits the Scientologists don't control.

Other than that, these people are a bunch of delusional anti-semite jerks.

    Slightly off topic, again. But...

Raised mixed bag o' nuts, here. Dad a Baptist, Mum Jewish. 'Celebrating Christmas with a seder' kind of upbringing. But how tired of 'the Holocaust' as a fall-back reference I have become...

100's of millions have been killed because of & for religious reasons in the last few centuries. Can we just refer to a generalized History of Fatal Religious Intolerance, or something, to refer to all the victims of faith...and stop acting like it was the first and last methodical murder of people of one faith?

In other words, "It" was not the "only" holocaust, as much as mustached dictators still exist in many places today, the failed German artist was merely one of them.

I am a proud atheist but would never consider "moral" the death of a human solely for thoughts in their head. Or for which gender their soul-mate is... remember the pink triangle and the slaughter of many homosexuals and perceived homosexuals in the Fatherland circa 1930's...but that gets no national holiday.

it certainly does not help the Jewish community to say that they run the banking system of our world. It is apparent that all religions have their hands in the honey pot. To demonize one religion is just wrong.

Thanks for the link John! I was in DC on Capital Hill yesterday when I got an email and phone call about this (I was in Sen. Specter's office, actually) so I couldn't get it posted until this morning.
  • moseao · 1 year ago
To be fair, he actually didn't "invoke" the holocaust. The question was asked of him and he responded to it. His answer is still a little disturbing, but it's still not quite the same thing as him going off on a tangent about it.
  • PAprogressive · 1 year ago
moseo, when asked the question the answer should have been "no." Any other response was unacceptable.

Most blogs and news services have quoted the same one paragraph of the six-page transcript of the message that David Brickner of Jews for Jesus delivered at Sarah Palin's church, giving the false impression that he is saying that a bulldozer attack by a deranged Palestinian is God’s judgment on the Jewish people. Please read or listen to the entire message for yourself at www.jewsforjesus.org/blog/20080817 so that you can hear Brickner’s remarks in context. Please also take a look at Brickner’s comments concerning his message at Wasilla Bible Church, as well as interviews by Christianity Today and MSNBC with Brickner about this issue, at www.jewsforjesus.org. Among other things, Brickner says, "The comments attributed to me were taken out of context. The notion that the terrorist, bulldozer attack in Jerusalem this summer was God’s judgment on Israel for not believing in Jesus, is absolutely not what I believe. In retrospect, I can see how my rhetoric might be misunderstood and I truly regret that. Of course I never expected the kind of magnifying glass scrutiny on a message where I was speaking extemporaneously. Let me be clear. I don’t believe that any one event whether a terrorist attack or a natural disaster is a specific fulfillment of or manifestation of a Biblical prediction of judgment. I don’t believe that the newspaper should be used to interpret the Bible. The Bible interprets the Bible. I love my Jewish people and the land of Israel. I stand with and support her against all efforts to harm her or her people in any way."
  • waterprise2 · 1 year ago
to msieger: so we should listen to David Brickner's words "in context"; but it's OK to play and re-play a few sound bites of Rev. Wright over and over and refuse to listen/read them in context? Or to admit that he was quoting an American General when he said "chickens coming home to roost"? More one-sidedness...
