McCain is usually confused about which house he is in let alone which bailout plan is the newest.

How much of these assets have been sold below face value?

I suspect most that have been sold traded at or very close to their face value up until this point. While today they would trade for much less, that's part of the problem: buyers don't know if todays value is low enough even yet (so they're not buying), and sellers don't really want to sell at a loss (so they're not selling).

So the underlying question here is not whether or not they've been sold before, but HOW MUCH they sold for. Until this spring, everybody was still pretending these assets were worth a lot more...

OK I am convinced, McCain is all about CHANGE.. and you can count on it.... Changing his mind about everything every 6 hrs or so. Maybe he has changed his mind about being President and is doing all this so he won't be elected... For we know he would never surrender..

The only thing McCain needs to throw at this point is the towel.

That needs to be a new site. "McCain confused on..." It could be the new Stuff White People Like.

Folks, Rick Davis and the other McCain lobbyists wrote and their puppet's mortgage plan. Why should anyone expect McCain to know what's in it?

What about all those people that bought houses whose value has dropped but when the "value" was going up, they took out home equity loans?

    Just wondering?
