Thnx Polly, good to see you too, I read your posts. I'm at wits end with this phoney-ass election... We are all here to make out statements, cause at some point we are all going to have to realize that we have to march against this junta I call the Oligarchy. The puppets are the DEM and REPUKES. It's sad story to see this empire crumble. It's happened before in history. We now get to see it first hand.

It really isn't correct to poke fun at a person's age unless age is one of the main reasons for that person's incompetance. It is unseemly for a person to not realize it's past time to retire. Surely both the Republicans and McSame must know that he is clearly not up to this job. Why are the daily tracking polls so close? Please do offer your rationale for this seeming anamoly.
SarainKC

The innocent explanation would be they are not able to poll cell phone only users which is most people under 30, but the cynic in me thinks it's all bogus. See, if they keep the impression out there in the public that the race is neck and neck, when the Republican controlled counties and states Diebold the returns for McCain, they won't have much resistance. Keep in mind, the media has made billions from the republicans pushing through media consolidation. It's about the money.

SarainKC: Who owns and controls the polling companies? What methodology do they employ? Like the MSM, polling companies can have a decisive influence on the election and hence these questions must be answered lest the Republicans steal a third election. The Republicans have no people's program and so they specialize in fear, distortions, lies and outright corruption. No honest election is possible if these factors are not recognized, exposed and eliminated. These Republican traits are blights upon our democratic form of government. Without this criminality, there is no way that an incompetent and feeble candidate could possibly win. I can still vividly remember the photos of those Republican thugs in Palm Beach County, Florida storming the office where the recount was going on screaming and banging on the walls and doors. They know no bounds and will resort to any foul means to steal an election. This is what we are up against and lastly, the Democrats need to take the gloves off to expose and stop these tactics.
AH, THAT'S A BIG HELL YEAH----YOU CAN'T BUY IT YOU CAN'T MAKE IT UP YOU CAN'T HATE ON HIM FOR IT....................MCCAIN IS ABSOLUTELY EATEN UP WITH JEALOUSY AND ALL HIS SOURPUSS COMMENTS THIS WEEK PROVE IT. HE SAYS HE'D RATHER GIVE A SPEECH AS PRESIDENT TO THAT MANY????? DUDE, YOU CANT EVEN GET 200 PEOPLE IN RALEIGH, LET ALONE 200000 IN A COUNTRY OTHER THAN OURS. The difference here is Obama did not make a campaign speech. He did not mention his opponent and he was very circumspect about mentioning the bad blood caused around the globe by Bush, McCain and all the rest of the neocons who started the wrong war with the wrong country for the wrong reasons. Something that would have very appropriate in a campaign speech.
Unlike Bush, and unlike McCain, Mr. Obama looked and acted like a real leader.

Please, please, please whatever you do don't "do the google" on her husband Jay Hone, that's JAY HONE, and his sordid past as a chicken hawk, and I don't mean chicken hawk of the VietNam War variety, either. The sordid past which pulled her into criminal conduct to protect him. And which, by implication, suggests theirs is a "lavender marriage." Doing the google on JAY HONE would be a gross violation of this wonderful Republican political family and would be shockingly invasive of their privacy, which only Republicans are entitled to.

Ah. I see what you mean.
He's a pedophile and she's a (closeted lesbian) beard.
Love those Republican Family Values.
DK's fbihop posted a diary today reporting that Republican Representative Heather Wilson, of New Mexico's 1st District , acted to cover up a case in which her husband, Jay Hone, a New Mexico attorney, was investigated by police on suspicion of having sexually touched a juvenile boy who was his client. At the time of the reported incident, a New Mexico court had assigned Attorney Hone to represent and protect the interests of the juvenile because the juvenile had neither parents nor guardian. The case implicates Republican Representative Heather Wilson because, immediately after becoming head of the New Mexico Department of Children, Youth and Families, removed from her agency's archives the file of the investigation into her husband's suspected child sexual abuse.
God, McCain sounds like a cranky old man. Can't he talk about something other than what Obama has just said? He should send a demo Fox News and work on getting his own show.

benb stopped a bit short in his comment on MCain's exclusive focus on his criticism of Obama. WHY is this a McSame obsession? Has the fear of losing driven him to constantly lashing out and being uncomfortable with what his program lacks? American voters certainly recognize him for what he is and is not. What is the definition of the word hero?

McCain is never going to make it until November! Both he and his entire party are completely imploding now. Did anyone catch Heather Wilson on Hardball? This is so sad and pathetic, it's just hilarious! This entire party is in denial, and out of touch with reality! I was shocked at the 200,000 people who showed up for our candidate, and I'm still chocked up knowing how important a regime change for America is for the entire world! I'm going to give, pray, hope and work to make this happen!

Jewish voters supporting Hagee is like chickens rallying for Colonel Sanders.....
I work in a Jewish organization, although I am a very agnostic Anglican...you know "are we having sherry at coffee hour?...not so much talk of the Jeebus shit" Anyway....Jews are not fools. They know that the fundy Baptists love Israel only because it has a landing strip for Jesus Second Coming and the rapture. Most Jews I know and work with know that there is a fire pit waiting in Jerusalem if they don't bow to the Jesus on the Day of Judgement. But they relish the support for the State of Israel. It's not hypocritical...it's just pragmatic. They laugh behind Hagee's back, trust me.

The McSame campaign is pathetic and Kelly O'Donnell just likes the donuts and her fovored seat on the bus too much. McCain is not fit for office and O'Donnell is not a reporter but a flaq. The polls are becoming more than curious, and there should be some careful investigation of their methodology.

bumkis: The mystery surrounding the strange polling results is serious. I remember all to well what happened in Florids in 2000 and in Ohio in 2004. It's clear to me that the Republicans will go to any lengths to steal an election. Why are these daily tracking polls so close when most empirical evidence suggests otherwise? We should be able to get the truth? Perhaps for starters we ought to be told who owns these polling companies and much more about their methodologies.

I have certainly criticized many of Obama's votes in the past, but his speech today was simply glorious. It was the best we could offer and reminded me (and others) of what we once all believed. He was inspirational but that scares the right; be they pundit, journalist or average citizen...they just don't have a whole lot of negative to be able to say about his performance and that must just drive them nutz!
