Obama admin's OPM, headed by a gay man, reportedly blocks lesbian from getting health benefits
Well, this is Saturday Night Live's attempt to humanize Sarah Palin.
And next week they'll skewer her mercilessly, no matter what they do tonight.
They may not be consistently funny, but I don't think SNL likes to be made asses of, either.
WTF.
Now I'm watching CNN doing a bio on her - not flattering. How she lowered income taxes as Wasilla mayor but made up for it by raising the sales tax. How town spending skyrocketed when she was mayor. How she hired lobbyists to get $27M in earmarks for Alaska, and now applauds when McCain says he'll veto bills with earmarks.
- Not that I would ever elect her dog catcher mind you, as I actually like dogs, but in this venue she's the best Palin she can be. (Like in all seriousness her son Trig has the potential to be the best he can be, in certain circumstances.) She does well with light scripts.
She should have stuck to pure entertainment / infotainment and not mixed into ugly politics.
Oh God there's more. I may eat these words -
Life, Deficits, the McCain campaign, all surround her and she stabs at them trying to establish her relevance, with mixed results. For humor she stood still, which in itself I find humorous. Plus she provided a venue for humor that without her presence would not have been.
She's not a Raymond Teller (of Penn and Teller,) but for SNL it was pretty humorous.
Like tuneful fingernails on a chalkboard - I can't decide which would be better or worse if she had actually done the rap herself - I don't know if I could stand it. Surreal. Perhaps the cast and writers are doing drugs again and the show will now get better...?
"Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow" LOL
Did anyone else see her grit her teeth as she passed Tina Fey on hte way to the podium?
In a way only they could do, SNL truly trashed her, though.
